Catch!
As more and more wolves were being thrown out of the center of the camp. Jason watched the first few fly by him while jogging around.
"wait, do you think ill get any points from catching them?"
Boops got a bit confused as to why he was thinking about that when his comrades were literally being thrown around the place. But responded honestly
'Yeah, it should work'
"Cool beans"
Jason lunged for the next wolf, he caught the wolf successfully in mid-air and tucked into a roll and then landing in a superhero pose. He wanted to relish the cool feeling he felt when he stuck the landing but his angry followers didn't allow that.
He continued jogging with the wolf in his arms when he got close enough he tossed the wolf toward the middle of the camp. The wolf landed in mid-run and didn't even stop to adjust its position or anything. He just took off the moment his legs touched the ground.
He didn't have time to see where the wolf was going, another wolf was thrown out of the camp again and Jason again lunged and caught the wolf. This time he was quicker and didn't need to tuck into a roll he just did the superhero landing and continued.
Jason turned around to check on his "followers" all of them had collapsed and were lying on the side of the road. Their chest was heaving up and down and yellow sweat was rolling down their faces. Jason grabbed his sword and walked up to them while Boops kept on screaming 'KARMA'
Jason couldn't end it in one strike but that was fine, he still got EXP and that was what mattered. He looked around to make sure that there were no more hurt wolves, after making sure that there were no more farms he walked to where the wolves were being flung out off one by one.
When Jason got to where the campfire was still roaring he saw the goblin leader with its back pushed to a wagon and was surrounded in a semi-circle of wolves. But whenever the wolves would try to attack it, the leader would scoop its hands underneath the wolf and fling the wolf away. Jason saw as one of the wolves passed over his head and sailed away. As Jason had seen the fall wouldn't kill the wolves (surprisingly) it could injure them and give them some broken bones but they would all be fine.
Jason got closer to the leader as he noticed that no more wolves were being thrown out. When he got closer he noticed that the alpha wolf was now inside the semi-circle of wolves and was facing the leader along. Jason criticized the part where he faced the leader alone but whatever.
Two leaders faced off against each other. They gazed at each other with ferocious eyes. One was fighting to survive and the other one was fighting for, well, honor? Jason really didn't know how wolf packs worked.
The alpha wolf faced the goblin leader with hate in its eyes, it gave a sharp growl and swung its sharp claws at the leader a few meters away from it. Jason thought it was a provocation or something until a freaking white crescent-shaped light flew out and cut through one of the leader's arms. The arm fell to the ground severe at the bone and Jason couldn't help but wonder how much money he would get from it.
The goblin leader enraged at the loss of his arm gave off a loud roar and punched the ground. A shockwave was produced from the punch. It pushed back the leader and the rest of the pack to where Jason was which was about 10 meters.
The alpha wolf collapsed in exhaustion and the entire pack was visibly worried. Jason was also worried but he then looked at the goblin leader. He too was kneeling and was taking heavy breaths.
Jason saw the yellow blood spurting out of the severed arm the tired leader, he then looked back at the pack that was slowly shirking away from the goblin leader. Jason gave off a huge grin.
He pulled out two long metal spikes and shouted
"ITS MY TIME TO SHINE!"
He sprinted toward the goblin leader, the leader stood up to face the attacker it stood in a sumo wrestler stance with its legs spread out wide and arms, I mean arm outstretched to receive.
Jason grinned even harder when he saw the stance, he had finally reached the goblin leader, using his momentum he slid with his feet in the front like he was riding a slide except that one leg was outstretched and the other was tucked in. He slid right past the goblin leader's swipe at him and got to his legs.
Jason took the two metal spikes in his hand and stabbed them into the goblin's legs right where the kneecaps were on the human body. Jason pushed the outstretched legs into the dirt which created a pivot for his body to use. The momentum carried Jason's body back to the standing position, and Jason stood with his back facing the goblin leader.
The wolves were the only ones who saw this scene, the scene of the goblin leader collapsing behind Jason as Jason continued standing without another care in the world.
Jason was relishing in something much more tangible than the wolves' admiration. Well I kinda was their admiration

Jason noticed that he hadn't gotten any EXP points yet and turned around to the goblin leader collapsed with legs that would no longer more. The upper part of the body definitely was alive and kicking as the roars coming from the head were showing.
Jason grabbed his sword and approached the leader. He kinda wanted to yet the leader in the air in the name of Karma but he definitely wasn't strong enough, at least that was what he thought at that time. Jason raised his sword and ended it all

Boops was busy recording everything that just happened and quickly responed

"NICE ILL GET THE BENEFIT FOR ALL OF THE STATS"
'yup, yup now go check if there's a bait thing'
"ah yeah, forgot about that"
Jason walked over to the blazing campfire. If he paid closer attention he could hear a familiar sound over the crackling noise of the fire.
Jason started working on putting out the fire by something it out with nearby thick sacks that the goblins it seems used to sit on that they probably stole from the wagons that they attacked.
Jason kept on asking Boops questions while doing so
"So Boops you have any idea why the wolves are giving me points now?"
Boops tried his best to explain
'My best guess is that since these wolves are more intelligent they can feel some emotion, and emotion= points, unlike the animalistic instinct most do. But why you didn't get any points when you gave them food and stuff is what's confusing me. Maybe it was because the emotion wasn't as strong, or they just weren't as smart or something, I'm not sure'
Jason finished putting out the fire and started digging with his sword. He had no other tools so he had to do with these, as he sweated while shoveling barely anything he promised himself that he would bring tools with him no matter where he went next time.
Jason saw a metallic luster in the moonlight and immediately grabbed it. It was still lodged in and Jason had to dig around it to successfully lodge it out of the ground.
It was much bigger then the one that Jason ha dug up before, in fact, it was almost twice as large as the one before, It was also emitting a larger sound then the one Jason had. Jason chucked it into his inventory for Boops to analyze and then walked around to loot the place.
Jason came across the wagon that the goblin leader had emerged from. Inside were large amounts of items and shiny things. They looked expensive but after Boops analyzed everything, and referencing the book about the prices of things in the continent he determined that the entire thing was only 5 gold.
