Arjuna's pain

"AGAIN, KEEP ON MAKING ARROWS UNTIL YOUR ARMS GET SORE AND COLLAPSE"

The gnome archer Sninkkaakac roared at Arjuna, with a hint of excitement in his voice as his pupil quickly grabbed a rod or wooden stick and winding a piece of rope around his hand in an instant. The speed that he grabbed the arrowheads that were carefully placed in a small compartment to his left, generated a small blast of wind. Then finally grabbing a handful of feathers and a type of glue thing on his right and left. He quickly squeezed out a strand of a glue-like substance on each of the feathers spines and then gently but with a fast and precise tempo placed each and everyone at the perfect place.

And when Arjuna raised his hands to let Sninkkaakac see his finished product. He gave off a slight gasp in amazement. In front of him was a normal arrow, yet just from looking at it. From the wood to the feathers which shone in pristine condition. The arrowhead that was centered perfectly and the rope that securely rigged it in a beautiful pattern.

Master Sninkkaakac looked back at Arjuna with pride in his eyes.

Meanwhile, Arjuna was busy looking at the notification in front of him.

[you have created an excellent grade normal arrow!]

[congratulations! you have finished the quest (arrow making)!]

[you have gained the skill (arrow making)!]

[arrow making: you can make arrows, the higher leveled the skill is the more types of arrows you can make or use, requires blueprint]

[congratulations thanks to the intense and harsh training by Archer Master Sninkkaakac your arrow making skill has leveled up to level 4!]

[congraduatlions you have leveled up!]

[level up!]

[level up!]

Arjuna nodded in happiness at the notification he then looked back to the gnome in front of him who was ranting about him being the "chosen one" or something. Whatever he really didn't care.

The gnome was walking out of the shed that he and Arjuna had spent the last few days in. It had taken literally forever to learn a few days to be exact. But it was worth it thanks to Master Sninkkaakac's harsh training he could now make an awesome arrow. Plus he also had the muscle memories of 2 days on making a single arrow, so he was pretty confident he could make a lot of them quickly.

The gnome master with some glee in his voice called out to Arjuna as he walked back to the guild.

"I have somebody I need to talk too!!! take a break and relax you earned it"

Master Sninkkaakac then closed the door, and Arjuna could hear him laughing in from behind the door.

Arjuna didn't want to waste his precious free time and quickly headed out the training field or at least he wanted to. This random person in a cloak approached him asked him quickly and in a whisper.

"Hey, you, how do you know the Master so well?"

Arjuna looked at the cloaked figure. He could see the glimmer of golden eyes inside the hood. He thought for a bit if he did answer he probably was going to get a quest of some sort huh. There were no players in the nightshade empire yet. Well almost, Jason and Boops had heard of some expert players finally getting into the world of WOW. But they weren't too sure.

But Arjuna would know if he were talking to a player. All players had tags on top of their heads. Jason and Perseus confined it and in the WOW manual Boops learned that the color of the tag varied. It was like the normal way games did things. Green was normal. Yellow was doing something bad like stealing something from a store like a piece of bread and Red was for PK'ers and criminals who did all sorts of bad stuff in the game.

Anyways Arjuna looked into the cloak and at where the person's eyes were. The hooded figure for some reason backed up when he made eye contact with the girl.

He started thinking again.

If he did talk to her he would definitely get a quest, after all an NPC approaching him was almost always an instant quest thing.

But then again, it was his fricking break time and he wasn't going to let a random hooded figure screw with it. He sighed and looked at the hooded figure after breaking eye contact with her for a brief second to think.

"look, I can tell you all about him or whatever and ill help you if you do need help but I gotta take a nap right about now k?"

The hooded figure nodded slowly and said in a meek voice

"o-okay, ill be here tomorrow at the same time ple..."

But before the hooded figure could even finish its words Arjuna had already left, the hooded figure stared at Arjuna's back as he walked off. Arjuna raised an arm as a way of saying goodbye since he was too lazy to turn around.

The hooded figure kept on staring at his back and even when he exited the training field and went out of the Archer Guild the hooded figure was still staring at the place where Arjuna was.

As Arjuna lazily and tiredly walked out of the Archer guild a sudden thought came to him

"huh, that hooded person had a female voice, didn't she... eh whatever"

And Arjuna went in a straight line to where the nearest inn was so that he could crash in a comfy couch or bed in real life, and if Jason wasn't busy maybe a snack or two. Arjuna almost drooled as he thought about how good Jason's lastest meal was.

Arjuna quickly paid for the inn, and then went to the room that he was directed to by the nice female innkeeper who kept on asking him if he wanted anything else.

He quickly opened the door and jumped on the bed at the corner of the room. The bed was soft but something about it just didn't feel right, he would always prefer the couch or bed in his room than the ones in-game.

Arjuna closed his eyes and with a slight grin on his face said in his mind

"log out"

[logging out of WOW]

And in reality, his capsule opened, right as it opened a figure jumped out of it and went straight into the bed closest to him. Arjuna quickly flipped the blankets over himself and snuggled next to the pillow and was instantly sent off into dreamland.

Sadly he had no awesome dream, but instead a derpy one of cats, giant gorillas, and angry seals.

Back in the game a hooded figure finally broke out of her trance. She shook her head to get all of the weird thoughts out of her head. But as she shook her head she just thought about how cool the person who had just spoken to her was.

The was he raised his hand to say goodbye to her ahhhh or maybe when he interrupted her, that was pretty cool too.

The hooded figure placed a hand on her heart confused at how rapidly it was beating. She smilled to herself and started to walk off. She jumped over the fence quickly and even though an entire crowd of beginner Archers was right next to her. Nobody noticed her it was like she had never existed.

She looked around once she landed seemingly cautious of something and then quickly walked over to the other side of the street. She spotted an inn close to the archer guild and started walking over to it.

She needed a rest after all of the running and exercise she had today and she was pretty near the Archery guild, they would be alerted if something happened to her. Besides she was pretty sure she could defend herself anyways.

The girl entered the inn and the woman innkeeper who was formerly grinning for some reason narrowed her eyes at the sight of the suspicious hooded figure. She growled in a semi-aggressive tone

"what do you want?"

The hooded figure placed a small bag full of silver coins on the table making the innkeeper's eyes light up. The hooded figure said quietly

"I want a room"

The innkeeper nodded quickly and handed her a key.

"This is our last room, the one next to it was just filled by a handsome gentleman"

The hooded figure had no idea why the innkeeper needed to specify that but she nodded and walked up to her room. Tomorrow was going to be a big day if that person was correct if she could somehow get on Master Sninkkaakac's good side, and if he somehow actually listened to her, perhaps he could help with his predicament.

As she reached her room and tiredly laid on the bed. One side of her hood slipped off and a beautiful face with golden hair emerged highlighted by the afternoon sun shining through the windows. But the most noticeable part was her ears, the slightly pointed ends to be exact.

lol I just realized I had a severe lack of female characters in this book
