The girl from the hallway

It had been more than a month since that meeting in the hall, and, although I spent almost every day walking on the same hallway I didn't saw her again.

I didn't have other way of looking for her.

Only the memory of her face and the sound of her voice; I didn't know her name neither.

I already lost the hope of seeing her again. Disappointed I went back home and on the way I was already convinced that I wouldn't see her again. That day the sky was cloudy, the streets where alone or at least as far as my eye could see. I decided to put on my headphones and while the melody reached my ears I had my eyes on the phone. I went by the usual path. When I got to my house I went directly to bed. Tired from the long day I had, I got ready to sleep but I did not count on the door being knock.

It was my mother telling me that lunch was ready. I went down to the dining room and before sitting down my mother told me that she had a task for me. She told me to bring a welcome basket to the new neighbors in front, they had moved more than a month ago and yet I didn't know who they were. Determined to complete my task, I went to the neighbors house knocked on the door and waited for them to open. On the other side of the door I could hear a very familiar voice and when the door opened I was stunned. I couldn't believe it.
