9 Chapter 9

Ashley's POV

"May I ask what his Majesty is doing at my house?? More like how did you know my house?" I asked.

" Won't you at least usher me into your house?" He said,scoffing.

"And why would I?" I replied,raising my eyebrow and folding my arms

"Ashley!" I heard my Dad call.

"Dad. You're back quite early today" I said,looking at my wristwatch.

"Yeah,I finished things up around 5pm so I decided to be home early."My dad said,as he climbed up the porch then his eyes landed on Corey.

"And who is this handsome looking young man?" My dad asked obviously smothered

Yeah,his head is gonna get full,I thought.

"He's a classmate and is also a neighbor." I replied my father

"Why young man,you're most welcome to my home. Do come in and have Dinner with us." My dad said,ushering him into our house.

"Wait dad, we're not even-" I didn't complete the statement when my dad said "Sshhh. Now follow me and serve dinner."

"Okay dad" I said,rolling my eye.

My dad and Corey got talking while I set the table and looking at them made me feel like puking. But how the hell did Corey get my address? Did he get it from my school file? That little...Aish,I promised not to swear.

"Come over to the table boys" I said.

They came and sat down,and after, I dished our dinners. Dad asked us to bow for a Thanksgiving prayer over the food,as we always do,and he prayed.

After the prayer,he said to Corey "My daughter's a good cook. Be sure to enjoy the delicacy,I'll be back soon. I need to make a call. Excuse me."

"No problem sire. I'll eat well" Corey replied ever so curtly,I was surprised.

Dad went to make the call and I used the time to ask him where he got my address.

"Corey,where'd you get my address from?" I asked.

"It's not right to talk at the dining table" Corey said,eating his food and tapping on his phone.

I raised the spoon to hit his head but Dad approached and sat down to eat.

"Corey,how do you like the taste of the food we served?" Dad asked

"It's very delicious,a shocking revelation for someone as troublesome as your daughter." he said,smiling.

I didnt hesitate to hit the dude on the head.

"Shut up" I said.
