Whose Pregnancy?

"You know you didn't have to bother yourself about coming with me," Joan said to Steve as they came out of the hospital and walked towards their car. Joan had just finished her antenatal and Steve was with her. He had insisted on coming with her.

"It's no bother Jo, this is our baby, we are in this together," Steve said.

Joan's pregnancy wasn't showing yet, but with the way Steve carried her like an egg, one would think she was going to deliver the next day. 

"Are you going back to the office? I think you should go home and rest," Steve suggested to Joan as he opened the door of the car for her.

"I will call Adebayo and ask if he needs me at the office," Joan said. She brought out her phone and dialed Adebayo's number. Since Adebayo found out that she was pregnant, he has been excited about becoming an uncle, and he has always been coming around the office more often to help take some work off Joan's plate.
