When Steve got back to the house, Joan was in the kitchen preparing dinner. 

"Hey...." He whispered in her ear as he came and wrapped his arms around her middle, he kissed her on her left cheek. 

"How did your outing with the boys go?" Joan asked him, relaxing into his arms.

"It was fun, it was just Gbenga and I though, Deji canceled, he mentioned something about having to go over to his girlfriend's place," Steve said.

"Victoria was here after you left, she said they've broken up," Joan told him.

"What? Deji didn't tell me that."

"She said they had a misunderstanding earlier today, and she broke things off with him, but I advised her to go back and talk things out with him because she misunderstood the situation,"

"What exactly happened?" Steve asked.

"According to her, she met him with another lady in his office, the lady was all over Deji, and Victoria didn't like it."
