Birthright

"How dare they, who do they think they are?" Steve asked in anger as Joan told him over the phone what her father's sisters came to their house to do. 

"Are they still there?" Steve asked Joan.

"No, they left a while ago, my mom and I had to work them out," Joan said.

"What rubbish, the nerve those women have. Where have they been all these while?" 

"Same question my mom asked them. They came in here intending to make trouble."

"And that trouble is what they will get if they are not careful. If they come to the house to make trouble again, call me!" Steve said to Joan. 

"Baby, I don't want you to worry about this okay? Your father's sisters can't carry out their threats, those are just empty threats. I won't allow them to do anything to either you or your mom," Steve assured Joan.

He heard as she heaved a sigh of relief, she was worried, and he didn't like it. He hates it when she has to worry over issues like this.
