October

"Do you know why October is a special month my little gremlin?" Taylor asked her adorable 4-year-old little boy, was sat quietly next to her. Osiris an adorable little boy with fine brown curly hair and big browns eyes that twinkled and cute puffy little cheeks, looked at his mother who had midlength chestnut hair dyed red and soft hazel eyes that held more pain than anyone would ever know. Osiris looked inquisitively at his mother and shook his head making his soft little curls bounce.

"Well my adorable little gremlin, it is special because it is your birth month and you, my little precious are the light of my life and mean more to me than anything" as Taylor said this she looked at her son with, love and adoration in her eyes.

Osiris looked at his mother with a beautiful smile, that only he could produce to appease his mother, the one smile that could soften her. "Right let's get you ready to go to your daddy's" Taylor sighed as she looked at the clock noticing that it was about time for her ex to pick up their son this Friday afternoon, so they could have their quality time together.

After getting Osiris ready for his father they spent a few minutes playing bricks. A knock came at the door. Taylor looked at Osiris with a little smile but when to answer the door to their 2 bedroomed flat that she was currently renting, as she opened the door she saw her ex-partner stood there with a complex look in eyes as behind him was his new partner and her little boy. Taylor scoffed inwardly 'well look who finally decided it was a good time to play happy families' she thought to herself. Taylor gave Mike a nod of acknowledgment and went to go and get her cute little gremlin, so he could spend time with his dad. Mike had short mousey brown hair, blue eyes, and a few piercings that made him look a little like a bad boy

Mike stood there and looked at his new partner Charlie and put an arm around her in comfort. Charlie tried to keep a blank and neutral expression on her face but did not say a word, she had thought that she may introduce herself to Osiris' mother but she never looked her way. Taylor knew what was happening outside of her door as she walked closer with a closed off and aloof Osiris. He liked his daddy but didn't understand why his mummy and daddy lived in separate places, as a child he was confused but was always happy to see his daddy.

Osiris ran happily into his dad's arm which was held open the moment Mike saw the door open and a small abundance of soft curly hair and chibi-like body came flying towards him. He smiled happily at seeing his son. Charlie who was still stood behind them looked at the scene loving from where she was No words were exchanged between this group of people. Taylor bent down to her son's height and stroked his head, "Have a fun time with your daddy my darling don't forget if you need me ask your daddy to get hold of me, love you a lot my little gremlin and I will see you on Monday". Osiris ran back to his mum and hugged her hard "see you later mummy, love you!!" Osiris' voice was soft and sweet when he spoke.

With that the new 'happy' family left, Taylor shut the door and walked back to the couch to call her best friend.
