2 The start of the cruel game.

HaHaHAHA! I'm so excited! I haven't had an opportunity like this in many myrs!' David heard a voice screeching excitedly in his mind, waking him from his dreams of being a vagabond.

'The fuck was that?' He thinks to himself.

'Oops! It seems i let my thoughts leak! I just got too excited!' The "devil" thinks to himself.

As David takes a look around he sees that he's sitting in a massive stadium, so tall, he cannot see the top, so deep, it makes the Marianas trench look like a little kiddie pool, from side to side, seemingly endless, full of people screaming and crying. so much noise fills his head that he cannot make out a distinct voice in the sea of despair.

' What the fuck is going on!' He screams out in his head, barely able to think. Looking down, he sees that he is bound to his chair by his wrists with an organic looking, red, pulsing patch of... barbed wire?

...

...

...

'This has to be a dream right?'

He thinks to himself before a screen is displayed in front of him with the smiling face of some otherworldly being looking at him. He instinctively recoils in fear.

As he looks closer at the face he realizes that he cannot quite make out any features, other than the innocent, childlike smile on the creatures face.

"QUIET" The creature demands. As the creature's voice is transmitted to him, David feels an insuppressible urge to close his mouth, feeling as if his lips have been stitched together with steel wire, not even a thought is allowed as the creature begins to speak.

"Hello humans!" "I bet you have a bunch of questions right now so let me appease your concerns"

"First off... All of you now belong to me. Courtesy of your messiah! Doctor!! Alexander!!!"

The screen switches to the live feed of a pitiful, moaning, not in pleasure but pure agony, man who seems to be in the middle of the stadium. Struggling to breathe, hands and feet stuck to a cross with spiked crooked nails, wearing a red, pulsing crown made out of safety pins, interwoven into his skull. Skin flayed and cracked, guts lying in the sand,seemingly stomped into it.

A red crow sits on his head occasionally picking at his one remaining eye, which stares in horror at his own mangled insides. The other eye, a mangled mess, dangling lifelessly. Here hangs a grotesque shell of a man, formerly known as Alexander.

"CLAP!" The creature once again orders, to which all are forced to comply, not even allowed the mercy of screaming in horror. As the petrified masses clap the creature laughs in pure glee.

"You are now going to play a game together! For my amusement! Understand?! Sounds like fun right?"

"..."

"Oh... Right... You can't speak."

"Well... Anyways! you will all automatically be given help in the form of a system that i have created for you to kill in... I mean survive in these games that i have created for beings like you!"

"If you want to know what happens to you if you fail... Just take a look at your poor little messiah over here..." The creature pokes Alexander in his exposed rib cage, causing him to moan as the creatures smile gets even wider.

"Now let's get started with the first trial!"

The screen switches from showing the monster to showing:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[First game]
Objective: Get lucky and survive.
90% of game participants will be inflicted with the [curse of death]. If you are inflicted you will die within 24 hours, slowly losing your strength along the way. Don't panic though! As long as you can kill another human you will be free! Atleast until the next game...
Leaderboards:
(???) = 0 kills
(???) = 0 kills
(???) = 0 kills
"Oh and you're allowed to speak again by the way"
Even though they were allowed to speak no one said a word. All that could be heard was the crying and screaming of children as the second passed to minutes.
As David watched the horror show there was only one spark of instinct called upon in his subconscious. It was not a thought born of determination but by pure, primal fear.
Survive! At all costs!
