Brylinn's POV

I hear multiple gasps as I tackle the asshole of an Alpha. I hate him so much.

We both drop to the ground as I manage to land a punch on him but he recovers quickly and reverses our position so he's straddling me and effortlessly pins me to the ground on my aching back.

We struggle for a while with me biting, clawing and attempting to punch him whilst he merely dodges it all refusing to hit me. Maybe because of his pack. Soon I feel drowsy and see a dart sticking out of my arm.

Should've known.

Refusing to give up, I realize that they all let their guards down as they only injected me with wolfsbane which ironically, I'm immune to but if they had mixed in silver, I'd be hopeless. I pick myself up from the ground only then realizing my naked state and apparently so does the Alpha as he lets out a loud growl and his eyes shift to black.

Ignoring him, I take that moment to dash into the woods and let me tell you that I am pretty fast. Faster than most wolves. Still naked, I run out of the pack grounds but immediately hear the sound of paws padding heavily through the forest after me. I run until I unexpectedly crash into open arms. Looking up, I notice a pair of blue eyes which are as clear as day and it somehow manages to soothe me causing me to collapse into the stranger's arms drawing out a growl from Hayden and a chuckle from the stranger.

"Wow such a beauty decided to crash into our pack only when I'm gone. How unfortunate. Thankfully I came back early or else I'd have missed the sight" His deep voice is so enchanting.

Wait what? When was I ever like this? Quit acting like the freaking eighteen years old you are.

Suddenly my dreamy look morphs into a scowl when I hear Alpha Dumbass grit out a "she's my mate".

"No she's not. YOU rejected HER. Remember?" I yelled throwing my arms up at his idiocy.

"Watch your tone with me pup"

"Watch your tone with me pup" I know it's probably a bad idea to mock him but again when do I ever have good ideas?

Hearing the chuckle again, I look back and realize that I'm still in the stranger's hold and I'm still naked. Shifting slowly away from him, i notice the tense atmosphere around us and see him staring at me and it's seems Alpha Jerk face doesn't like that. But who cares?

"Hi I'm Mark. The gamma of the Royal moon pack and.....Guess? Your supposed to be brother in law but since that's not happening... Then just call me darling" He says laughing

He got caught off by a glare from both me and Alpha Assbitch. "You're Alpha Ass---Sorry Hayden's brother?" I ask incredulously.

He simply nods humorously.

"Oh come on why does the cute one have to be related to the Jerkass? Now I don't like you anymore" I pout causing Jerky over there to roar and Mark to laugh.

"I promise you that I'm not as bad as he is. I'm the fun romantic one. You know what I'm saying?" He says suggestively to which I smile and bite my lips.

Well if I'm not getting a mate then I might as well get some fun out of this trip.

Stepping closer to him, I say "Mhmmm maybe I do" and immediately crash my lips to his. Yeah, right in front of my ex mate but who cares?

Mark in turn grabs my waist and pulls my STILL NAKED body flush against his. One minute we're kissing and the next, the gamma is being thrown against a tree and I'm being pulled away. Winking at a smirking Mark, I can tell that he did it on purpose to rile up Jerky but I can't blame him because I did the same. Giggling to myself, I'm stopped by a harsh glare from you know who and suddenly I'm pulled into a very possessive kiss by Alpha Dum Dum which gives me tingles all over my body. Pushing him away immediately, I give him a glare of my own.

"So you'd let him touch you but your mate can't? I mean I guessed you're a slut but this is too much even for you" You-know-who said coldly

"Correction you're not my mate. Also he didn't just humiliate me in front of a whole pack did he? And I seem to like him so I can do whatever I want" I said throwing a wink at Mark.

Looking at Tweedledee, I notice that he's barely being able to control his wolf as he grits out "Shift"

"No"

"Goddammit woman, shift so your body won't be so much on display like this or else I won't be able to contain my wolf anymore."

"Too bad.... I can't shift"

At that they look at me in surprise before Alpha Asshat's eyes suddenly become completely red and he lunges at me, pinning me down before sinking his elongated fangs into the spot between my shoulder and neck.

Pain floods me and I realize----He just marked me

When people talk about the marking, they say it starts out painful then the pain slowly but surely becomes pleasurable but let me tell you this. They lie. The pain in me keeps coming and for the first time in my life, tears well up in my eyes but I'm determined not to let them drop. My insides feel like they are being scorched and all I feel is red hot pain until I finally lose all consciousness.

Before I go out completely, I hear sweet adorable Mark yelling at the Alpha and I think I see regret and remorse flash before Alpha Asshat's eyes but I brush it off as I fall into the black hole specially designed for me.

I really hope I die this time.

So maybe I'm rushing it but I don't really want to drag out the book too long.
