1 Releasing the Beast (1)

Night Fox Bar and Nightclub

Valerie Alder sipped her drink slowly, absorbing the music around her. She closed her eyes and leaned back peacefully.

However, right when she begins to fully immerse herself into the DJ, a loud cackle pierced through her mind. Her eyes flicker open and all the chatter she took so long to tune out appears again.

She turns to the sound with a single eye. The men then proceed to walk to her table, each one eyeing her greedily. A small sliver of murderous intent leaked out but Valerie quickly suppresses it, a bit curious of the intent of the group in front of her.

"How may I help you?" Valerie looked up emotionlessly.

"Hey girl, you got a nice body. Wanna come hang out with us?" A man stood out from the crowd. He licked his lips and a lewd smile surfaced onto his flawless face.

Valerie's curiosity vanished completely, her eyes flashing with anger.

"Thank you for your offer," Valerie started, "But I am quite satisfied being here, alone."

She enunciated the last word, making it clear of her intent. She turned away, and hastily calmed her rising killing intent. It seemed that after being motionless for so long, it urged for blood. Soon, Valerie would have to satisfy it.

"B*tch, do you know you're talking to?" One of his underdogs spoke out in fury.

Valerie paused her hands resting down.

"What?" Valerie asked softly.

"Don't make me repeat myself! It's your lucky day to be able to catch the eye of Louis Silverman!" The underdog shouted again.

"Yeah, with one wave of his hand, you'd be dead! You'd better rethink your choices," Another one said, a cigarette in his mouth and smoke drifting up to the ceiling.

"This is a smoke free zone," Valerie says.

The man chewed on the cigarette a bit and spit it onto Valerie's face. The saliva that the cigarette was coated into began to slide down the side of her cheek, the cigarette falling onto the ground.

Valerie smirked openly, rising from her seat. She put her hands into her jacket and slowly pulled out two pistols, and with a flash of her hand, the pistols were pointed at the two underdogs who spoke out.

"Crazy b*tch!" Louis cried out, his hands shifting to his jacket. However, before he managed to grab his gun, Valerie shot his hand ruthlessly.

Louis bent down and clutched his bleeding hand, yelling out half in pain and half in fury.

The nightclub began riddled with panic and everyone began to flee. The music stopped and the night club began to become pure chaos. Numerous security guards began to flock around Valerie and Louis.

"F*cking dumb*sses! Over here!" Louis yelled at the security guards,

"Aw, that's cute," Valerie smiled widely.

Louis's eyes became hollow when seeing her truly eager expression. Who had he just offended?

When a few men began to surround Valerie, she scanned all their faces and sighing aloud. One of the men stuttered, "P-put your hands up!"

"All new recruits, eh? Man, this brings back memories," Valerie said softly. Something flashed inside her eyes and all her humanity had disappeared. She slowly lowered her two pistols.

"You know, I've been holding back for so long," Valerie grinned, "Being able to finally release everything out..."

"It'll feel so nice."

Three minutes later

All of the security guards' bodies laid on the floor, each having a single bullet hole in their heads. Their blood surrounded each of their bodies like a small patch of red flowers.

Along with the security guards, most of Louis' crew was dead. Only the two underdogs who had spoken out of line were still alive, along with Louis himself.

Valerie licked her hand, removing a droplet of blood on her hand. She was completely unfazed by the massacre she had just committed, unlike the three shivering messes in front of her.

"That feels so nice," Valerie chuckled lightly, stretching out her arms. She then frowned at Louis with distain.

"You guys look like you've seen a ghost," Valerie smiled, "What happened to your confidence? Come on, you've got to be stronger than that if you want to give me some sort of entertainment! Where'd all your confidence go from before?"

Louis' underdogs trembled crazily, and they began to inch backwards using their hands. Their legs had become immobile already and they couldn't rely on anything else.

Valerie saw this movement and shot at the them both. The person who threw the cigarette felt something was off and paused for a short second, watching a bullet kill the person next to him and another skim back his cheek, leaving a small cut.

This frightened him enough to stop him from any further movements. He became to petrified to move any more.

"Cigarette boy, do you wanna see what happens if you move again?" Valerie sneered, the cold glint in her eyes growing more and more.

He furiously shook his head like his life depended on it.

"Good boy," She smiled and turned to Louis.

Louis, sensing her intent, backed away with fright. He was the son of a mobster, so no one had ever dared to do such a thing to him before. Valerie was the first, so he had no idea how to react. His first instinct was to run and since his mind was too damaged from this incident, he only had his bare instincts left.

"Hahaha..." Valerie laughed. However, she soon became serious and she swerved to the left, dodging a bullet that would otherwise have killed her.

She turned back around and finally saw a familiar face.

"Hey Marc! Long time no see!"
