6 Chapter 6

Kevin returned about 20minuted later. He had two food packs in his right hand, and two drinks in his other hand.

"I hope spaghetti and meat balls are fine by you, because that was the only meal left." He said

I was already seated on a stool, at the back of the class.

I turned to him and smiled, "Let's head over to a different classroom to have lunch. It's wrong to eat in the laboratory." I said.

"Where did you hear that?" he asked when he reached my side.

"I didn't hear it, I read it" I said and I pointed to a piece of paper pasted next to the white board.

Kevin turned in the direction I pointed my finger. It was boldly written not to eat or drink right here in the laboratory.

"Let's just head over to our class room to have lunch instead of a different one." He suggested

"Alright" I said.

I rose to my feet, and I assisted him with the drinks in his hand.

On our way to class, I heard rumours about Arthur and Trina as a perfect couple for prom queen and king. What I didn't understand was why Arthur didn't decline Trina's proposal as her date to the prom. Luckily for Arthur, Trina's boyfriend attended a different school.

But did Trina force him or what? I needed answers.

I would have questioned Arthuer myself, but as long as Trina was going to be around him every now and then, why bother anyways.

Kevin and I got to class, but I sat on Kevin's seat while Kevin sat on mine. The reason was, I just didn't want to talk to Arthur for some time. And now that he's with Trina, I don't want to fall victim to any of her devilish and selfish plans.

Lorenzo on the other hand was in a student board meeting. He wasn't just our class representative, but also the student body president. One thing that baffled me was why would the student body president refuse to attend an event organised by the school? Lorenzo can be funny at times.

"Not fair Elena... you got six meat balls instead of five." Kevin said

"So.."

"Well I want the sixth one" Kevin said

"No way, my luck not yours" I said

"I do have luck, it's just in the wrong place" Kevin said

"Are you serious right now?"

"Yes I am" he answered

I sighed. "Fine, take it"

"I want that one" he said pointing at the largest one.

"What no way, it's the biggest" I said

"Exactly"

Kevin, what am I going to do with you- I chanted in my head.

"Fine, just take it then" I said.

I guess this was quite fair to me though, he did wait in line to get my food.

15minutes later, the bell rang, which meant that lunch time was over. Everyone returned to class, and took their seats respectively. Arthur and Trina walked in, and all eyes were fixed at them. Trina was all wrapped up around him.

Several times, Arthur called my name, but I pretended not to hear. When classes were over for the day, I, Kevin, and Lorenzo, stayed behind like we always did. Just to talk about some courses we didn't understand and how we would meet to study later.

Arthur appeared from nowhere and jumped at our faces, and I startled.

"Elena we need to talk please" he said.

"About what exactly" Kevin asked

"I know you three are probably mad at me, but I can explain." Arthur said

"There is nothing to explain Arthur" Lorenzo said. "Wait, what are we mad at him for anyways?" Lorenzo whispered into my ear.

"Later" i said to Lorenzo

"Look Arthur, I would love to stay and listen to whatever you want to explain, but I already have plans after school. And as you can see, I'm already delaying both Kevin and Lorenzo" I said confidently.

I felt like I sounded like a jerk, and I didn't know why I took all this as a big deal anyways.

"Alright, but I want you to know that I'm...." he began to say before he was interrupted.

It was Trina again. She always had something to complain about.

"Baby, didn't I tell you to stop hanging around....her..." Trina said rude manner.

"Trina, stop this instantl, you're rude can't you see" Arthur said. He sounded annoyed, and his words were quite sharp and direct.

"But....but....she started it" Trina said.

"I'll meet you outside" Arthur said to her

A frown settled on Trina's face, then she crossed over to me. "Can I at least apologise for being rude" she said and she faked a smile.

Did she just say she wanted to apologise?

Who? Trina? Apologise....LOL

I wanted to laugh.

Arthur couldn't tell that her smile was fake, but I could. She leaned closer to me, and I felt her sticky lip gloss on my ear.

"Watch out Elena, Arthur is mjne" she whispered sinisterly

Was that a threat or what? Please I don't think I'm emotionally stable to fight a girl all for the sake of a boy. I still don't know if he likes me back either.

Trina straightened herself and hugged me, then she turned to Arthur.

"Can we leave now, daddy doesn't like me returning home late from school." she said to him

"Sure" Arthur sounded bumped.

"What was all that about?" Kevin asked

"I don't know and I don't care. Can we leave as well" I said.

I hung my bag on my shoulder and we all headed to the classroom door, with Kevin and Lorenzo by my side. Diego was already outside, standing by the car, waiting for the three of us.

"Ummm Diego" Kevin called softly "Can we stop by the mall on our way home? The school prom is this weekend and Elena here, has nothing to wear. I also want to get a little something for Ava too as well."

"I too want to stop by the mall as well." Diego added

"Great, we all are going" Kevin said excitedly.
