3 Chapter 3

I immediately sat in between Lorenzo and Kevin. Why? I no idea. Arthur walked to our table with his sweet innocent smile.

"Hi guys" he said softly

"Hey" Kevin responded

I waved awkwardly at Arthur, while Lorenzo buried his face in a book.

"I'm sorry, I can't seat with you guys, maybe another time." Arthur said apologetically.

"What's wrong? Is it because of Elena, I can ditch her to hang with your" Kevin said.

"Kevin" I said before I punched his arm. I felt my cheeks burn up, how embarrassing.

Kevin wouldn't do such, wait would he, I began to doubt myself.

"Ouch...What was that for?.." he said laughing "I'm serious, she eats like a food monger anyways" Kevin said jokingly and I punched him again.

My cheeks burned up. I looked up to Arthur but he was still smiling.

"That's really cute, and no Elena isn't the reason I'm not eating with you guys. Trina there..." Arthur said pointing at the table right in the middle of the cafeteria. Trina and her gossiping squad were seated at the table. what they mostly did was gossip.

"....invited me to lunch after second period earlier" Arthur continued

I knew it, first day at school and that diva was already curling around the new guy. I had spotted both of them earlier talking, right after Spanish class. She was giggling which always sounded annoying, and she just couldn't get her hands off Arthur. Did I also mention she was one of the best students in class? She never paid attention in class and I wondered how she always came out with A's. When I started schooling here, she hated me right from day one, she didn't like the idea of having a new smart girl in class. She also hated the fact that I was already friends with Kevin and Lorenzo. Our class hottest and most intelligent guys, if only she knew that we had been friends right from childhood.

"Oh it's cool, we would see later then" Kevin said

"Yes" Arthur said nicely "Bye Elena"

"Bye Arhtur" I responded

Arhtur looked at Lorenzo, but Lorenzo was still curled up around the book he was reading.

"Send my regards to him, he seems busy" Arthur said before he left.

I spent the whole lunch time staring at Arthur. At some point he looked at my direction and smiled, when I noticed he was actually smiling at me, I smiled back and he winked after.

"Why don't you ask him to be your date to the school prom, I bet Trina hadn't thought of that" Kevin said

"Really, do you think he likes me?" I asked acting insecure.

"You both have been making googly eyes at each other since he took his seat, and you're just lucky Trina hadn't noticed." Kevin said, before he took a bite out of his sausage.

"Don't tell me you are falling for him?" Lorenzo asked in a displeased tone.

"And so what if I am" I responded. "I don't think it's your business anyways, I'm still mad at you for acting all nerdy around Arthur. I'm sure Arthur knew you just did it to avoid him" I continued

"Yeah Lorenzo, why did you do that?" Kevin asked

Lorenzo clenched his fist and I knew I had upset him. But instead of him walking away angrily, as I expected, he placed the book aside and apologised.

"So how are we going to help Elena ask Arhtur to be her date to the school prom?" Lorenzo asked. He actually directed the question to Kevin.

"I just think she should just be herself and ask" Kevin said taking the last bite out of his sausage.

"You have a point actually." Lorenzo said agreeing with Kevin. "But I'm going to be really honest with you Elena, I don't really like the guy" he added

"You never like any guy Elena likes, you're like a junior father" Kevin said

"Yeah so" Lorenzo said

"Elena you see what I mean" Kevin said.

At that point I stopped listening to their bickering, I was just watching Arthur. Gosh he looked so good in that navy blue shirt. I felt walking over to him, and kiss him. Okay that was a bit far, but I really wished it could happen.

That same night, I lay on my bed thinking about what kevin said during lunch time. Why don't I ask him to be my date to the prom?

But my thoughts were interrupted when I heard a bang on my room window. Someone had been throwing stuffs at it to get my attention. If Deigo were to here of this, whoever's throwing stuffs is going to be in a lot of trouble.

I got out of my bed and crossed over to my window. I pulled the blinds and drew the slides. I popped my head out to see who had been trying to get my attention. I thought of Arthur out there with a guitar in his hand, like a musical prince confessing his love for a princess in a song. But I returned to my senses when when something hit my head.

"Ouch" I groaned angrily

"Sorry" Kevin whispered "I hadn't seen you"

"Kevin what are you doing here?" I whispered in an annoyed tone

"Get mad at me later, but you won't believe who's in the bumble bee car parked opposite your house"

"Who?" I asked looking at him in bewilderment. I wondered if he came all the way from his house to tell me that.

"Arthur" Kevin answered

"Wait what, what is he doing here?" I asked in a panicked tone

"We are hanging out, and I thought of you hanging with us." Kevin answered.

"What! Diego would kill me, and you know that" I said

"He doesn't have to know. I promise to bring you back before he does a bed check, this was Lorenzo's way of apologising to Arthur for the way he acted earlier today." Kevin said. "Now climb down and hurry"

"Alrightt, I need to grab my jacket first, it's cold out there." I said. I pulled my head back into my room. I grabbed my jacket, then tied it around my waist. I was already in a black top and a jean short.

I used the tree next to my room window as a ladder down, and when I was getting closer to the ground, Kevin helped me down.

We lowered our body to avoid been caught by my brother- Diego, who was busy watching a movie. We arrived at the vehicle and got in immediately.

"Are we ready" Kevin asked

Lorenzo was at the passenger's seat, and Kevin was to drive. I sat at the back seat next to Arthur. He greeted me warmly and commented on my dressing.

Throughout the car ride, Kevin was always looking at Arhtur and I through the mirror. Most times, I would glare at him intensively to look away. Kevin drove us all to an amusement park. Most students from our school were there as well.

I firstly rode the ferris wheel with my two best friends and Arthur, and after that, Arthur offered to buy me a cotton candy. We played some other games later, and he won a gift teddy for me.

After an hour, Lorenzo and Kevin approached Arhtu and I from the crowd.

"Elena it's almost time for bed check, we need to leave now before Diego finds out you aren't in your room" Kevin informed.

My bed check was always by 11:10pm everyday. Diego or Rodrigo would come at those times just to be sure I was asleep.

"Let's hurry then" Arthur said.
