1 Meeting the God of war

William Had found himself in a dark space with nothing except himself and some random memories floating in the dark space, the memories started floating towards William in a snake-like fashion, when the memories reach him, they quickly floated into his head entering his mind,

William quickly felt an immense pain flowing through his head.

when the pain was gone William could see memories in his mind picturing battles, fights, sorrows, death, and destruction, he could see men running for their life while beasts were chasing after them, slaughter men, women and children.

After watching more memories he found out that the beast pictured in his mind where Humans dressed in armor, wielding axes and shields.

Even though William saw all of this destruction and Sorrows, he felt no disgust or sadness, all he could fell was excitement and his boiling blood. William started to crave a fight, he was imagining fighting strong opponents and besting them in battle.

Whilst William was daydreaming an old man was watching from afar thinking "finally found something interesting, Seems like he enjoys my memories, maybe I should grant him his wishes "

William finally stopped daydreaming when he heard a voice next to him. "Hello there young one, it seems you have found yourself in my realm," said an old man in white robes with an abnormally large smile.

"Who are you?" asked William with a deep frown and an unhappy tone.

"Don't be angry, young one, I am just the lowly God of war" said God of war with an overly happy voice.

"Oh God of war? nice to... what! God of war, stop joking" said William with quite the unhappy tone.

"This old one would never joke about who or what I am" said the God of war with a serious tone without his large smile.

"Why would the God of war meet me?" said William in a confused manner.

"Honestly young one, I'm bored, all you humans do nowadays has nothing to do with war, it honestly makes me disappointed that the planet I oversee is so peaceful" said God of war with a saddened expression whilst never removing his sight from William.

"I get what you mean, I still remember about the stories my grandpa told me about the fifth world war and all the heroic deeds he performed in battle, I would always dream of fighting and winning honor for my family and country, sadly all there was on the horizon was peace" said William with a dejected smile.

"And that's why I found the perfect solution for my boredom and your longing for battle" said God of war with fire in his eyes.

"You have? what is it" said William thinking hopefully "will I finally get a chance to experience real battle" William was quickly pulled from his thoughts when he heard GW (GW cuz it is tiring to write his name) speak.

"Of course I have, I will send you back in time to the Viking age where you will have to build up your family's strength and power, of course, I will give you something to help you in your journey as well as infinite rebirth" said GW whilst looking at Williams Green eyes that seem to be full of fire.

"Help, infinite rebirth? what do you mean?"

"Well, when you die you will be reborn as one of your blood relatives, though they have to be under the age of 4 and also male"

"What kinda OP ability is this" thought William as he watched GW's happy smile.

"What happens if I have no living relatives and how does it choose wich relative I will be reborn as?"

"Well, when you die you will be reborn as your firstborn, but if he is over the age of 4 you will be reborn as your sons firstborn and then his firstborn and then his firstborn, etc, if your son has a daughter then you will be born as her firstborn son unless you have a secondborn son then you will be reborn as him or his son and then it repeats, if you have no living blood relative you will die and be sent to my version of Vallhalla"

"Wait! Vallhalla like the one in Norse mythology"

"Yup, but you will not feast, only fight for the rest of eternity"

As William heard GW's last sentence he could only see darkness
