7 Chapter 1 - Part 6 - The Arrival of The Overlord

Vlad has never even once cared about things like religion, but he believes in the existence of god.

Although he didn't know and care about the so called faith. He has studied all kind of religions so he knows that god is there, but doesn't really like to intervene with human's lives.

However, he was now angry at this so called god! Even though his previous life was miserable, he never complained nor has he fell into despair.

He has always believe that death is a matter of course that he need to embrace. His previous self, Artura Lion lives with the conviction to do his best even if he need to bow his head.

But now, he really was at a lost of what to do. He was grateful that he could have a second chance at living, but to give such a headache like this made even him despise the god.

Vlad has been reading enough novels to make an assumption what kind of great being would be so bored as to send him to another world.

Be that as it may, he was really in a tight spot here. Although he was feeling sorry and guilty to Tiriel, he was not naive enough as to believe everything she said.

What kind of a fool is he if he were to believe her like that! He has experienced the cruelty of living in earth to the point of disgusted himself.

So he keep playing in tune with her with his cautiousness on the brink of exploding.

But still his caution aside, he really did feel sorry and sad. So he keep his calm while staring at Tiriel with a gentle gaze.

"Tiriel, I don't know what happened im the past. But to think that Genesis has fallen is quite a shock to me."

Vlad let out a sad smile as he let his right hand fell on top of Tiriel's head. He know that if he keep lamenting the lost of his money, he might as well commit suicide and be done with it!

Not waiting for the beauty to open her mouth, Vlad keep on talking with a smile on his lips.

"Let's not talk about the past for now. I know that it seems to be unfair to you, but the place is not really comfortable for us to be talking for long."

He said while glancing the surrounding area. His eyes were sharp as if he was eyeing some kind of prey that lurked in the dark.

"Ah..."

Tiriel exclaimed in surprise as if she just realized something important. She then blushed at her own blunder.

That was actually quite cute as she was not how she's suppose to be. A cool beauty that will never let her emotions show.

But it seems that she's not a character that he made anymore. She's now a flesh and blood being with life.

"So... let's get up first and move to somewhere more safe?"

"O-of course... Let us go!"

With a flustered expression, she hurriedly got up from his embrace. Her red face look so charming that it almost mad Vlad spurted some blood from his nose.

Seeing her embarrassed like that, Vlad then let out a chuckle as he started to stand up on his feet.

Now that he think about it again, he didn't know where he was. Even though it was supposed to be a world where it was a game before, but now that it become reality he doesn't know what's what anymore.

So like any other sane man, he decide to just ask the person close to him to point the direction.

"Now then... Where should we go now? The world must've been different to how it was before, right?"

He asked while tilting his head to the side. He was really clueless now because everything is just different compared as to how it was in the game!

"Ah... Master, to tell the truth. I don't have a place to stay either, i have been traveling and moving around after the fall of Genesis... i am really sorry, master..."

She was just about to fall to her knees and do the famous dogeza before Vlad stopped her.

"Okay stop! Since you don't have a place to go, and i don't even know what the hell is going on. Why don't we just go away from this place first? As far away as possible is better!"

He exclaimed with a strict tone. Vlad was really not in the mood to do useless things anymore. It's better if they use the time to retreat far away before some kind of unnecessary accident happened!

No matter how he hates the god now, he still want to pray that the god doesn't mess with him or he's going to go on a rampage again!

'The longer we stay here, the worst it is for me. Better go anywhere rather than having trouble dealing with some pest!'

Not waiting for Tiriel to open her mouth, Vlad just grabbed her hands and then started to run toward the eastern side of the dark forest.

He doesn't know where it will lead them nor does he care about it. As long as they are not in that destroyed place, it would be save for them to think for the next step.

As he was running, he then noticed something strange. With a frown on his face he then asked himself.

'Now hold on a minute! Why is the surrounding got blurred?'

Vlad asked himself as he still ran with all his might. He then turned his head behind him and realized that he was practically dragging the poor woman as she flew behind him like some kind of rags.

The scene made him slack jawed as he was surprised and shocked at the same time!

'Fuck! An anime scene just turned realty!'

He cursed inside his heart. He didn't know that he just earned himself the hate of a woman. It was basically the second times that he made her hair into a mess...

Vlad then decreased his speed and made a full stop as he looked around him again.

The previously blurred surrounding now turned normal again. He was now aware that his body physical power exceed that of his previous one.

Looking back again, he was very far away from the destroyed ground and has entered the forest entrance.

The distance could be a few kilometres away, and he arrived so damn fast that he didn't even realize it.

But he was not minding it too much as he focused on another matter that need his extra attention.

Rubbing the back of his head in embarrassment, Vlad looked at the ground as he opened his mouth slowly.

".... Well.. uh, I'm sorry?"

He said nervously with a flushed cheeks. If one look careful enough, they could see that his ears were as red as a tomato.

And to be honest, he didn't even know that he could run like that, so he's not actually to be blamed at this.

However, if he say something like 'ah, i didn't know i could run so fast!'. That would cause him another embarrassment different from this one.

So it's better if he just swallow his pride and just apologize normally. At least, if he do this he would not feel much shame.
