4 close call

"you should've gone for the head." I open my maw and bite down on the rhino's ankle.

"Argh!"

the rhino grunts and leans back allowing me to kick him away to create distance.

I flip back from my lying position and land a few meters away.

I look at my now wounded chest and an arrow lodged in my shoulder.

*a deep growl that vibrates even the surroundings left my mouth*

The rhino panics but the wolf leader comes and taps his arm while reloading his crossbow, they both nod at each other and take a stance.

I grab the arrow breaking it off my shoulder, the pain is high, but I feel my wound buzz in a concerning way.

The wolf then smirks and says" you are a big fellow ey? But not big enough! The poison will take it's course in due time."

I look around and see a medium axe in the ground, I pick it up and sprint towards the two.

I was so angry that my power was overflowing with how much adrenaline my body was pumping.

Veins started to appear all over my body as my muscles flexed with every movement, the ground underneath my feet quacks as if a behemoth is making it's way with huge thuds with every impact.

The rhino gets startled and runs towards me for a second tackle.

I see him and in the heat of the moment I let out an ear-piercing Roar.

"ARRRggrghhhh!"

We collide with each other and send the rhino flaying back but only a few meters, he looks dazed trying to wrap his head around what just happened.

I swing my medium axe towards his head, but it's blocked easily.

My senses tingle as I feel danger to my side, I look and see an arrow coming towards me.

I use my axe head to block the arrow, but I feel the rhino kicks me at the back of my leg bringing me to one knee.

He was still down and trying to get back up, I look and see his mauled ankle.

I swing my axe at full power hitting his ankle and creating a deep wound.

Since he can longer stand, he throws his axe and gets on his 2 hands like a beast.

He pulls away as I must dodge another arrow, this time I couldn't block but it grazed me as I dodged it.

"hahahahaha, big guy you are going down and I am gonna keep that mane as a trophy!"

The rhino's charges at be from behind as the leader loads another arrow.

I roll to the side as the rhino charges past me, I jump on his back and start thrusting my claws on his hide but it's too thick.

*growl*

I'm getting pissed as nothing is going my way, the rhino starts to thrash around, and I fall on the ground.

I immediately fall on my feet and charge at him again, I give him a spartan kick the topples the rhino on his side.

I jump over him and grab his horn with my hand and place the other one at the back of his neck.

I pull the horn back with my full strength as both me and rhino scream and roar.

"aaarrrhhhh!"

The wolf takes aim but I positioned the rhino towards him.

So the leader throws away the crossbow and runs at me on all fours,

My arms flex as the tension rises and veins look like they are about to pop.

Just as the leader was in leaping distance.

*Crack* I drop the head and reach out grabbing the leader by the neck all within a second.

The leader takes out a dagger, but I take his body and slam it down towards the pointy horn which was as long as 30cm.

I hear a dog's whimper as a little bit of the horn protrudes through his stomach.

He tries to stab me with his dagger, but he is stuck and dying. Fast.

"damn it! I got done in, by a cat!"

I look at him with disdain as I pick up the rhino's gigantic axe.

"who was the rhino, he gave me more trouble than you."

The wolf looks at me with hate.

"not enough trouble it seems."

I see this a waste of time and get ready to swing.

But before that.

"a mut should learn to obey."

*chop*

His head falls a few meters away next to one of the lackeys.

I go and take the head as it is proof of my completed mission.

But Leonidas didn't know is that his mission is technically in complete.

*Lackey pov *

"Then I said bitch get down on your knees or you won't have them!"

Everyone was having a good time; our mission is to raid a village not far from here, but we don't know much about it.

We sent a scout yesterday, but he didn't return so we suspect we've been found out.

That why the leader asked us to prepare to leave as he didn't like taking risks.

Our group was mostly wolfs besides the huge rhino, drek they call him and he just became a novice in martial arts it strengthens his body and makes him stronger but he doesn't want to lead but only fight that's why leader is the brains of the operation.

As we were getting ready a thud was heard.

"go check what the fuck those idiots are doing!"

Said leader so me and the boys went to check and what came to view almost made me shit my pants.

A huge lion with a muscular body, thick mane and bloody claws was standing there as he looked at us and rush at me immediately.

I swing my sword towards his head, but it gets blocked, my vision blurs as I fly back holding my stomach being unable to breathe.

Everything was a blur as I struggled to even stay alive because of one kick, by the time I'm able to breathe I see my leader held by the neck and stabbed the leader onto dreks horn.

A few seconds later the leader head fell right next to me,' holy shit im sooooo dead, wait maybe if I play dead! I might survive!'

The lion comes next to me battered with dirt and bleeding, but I knew that one swipe is all it takes to die.

He picks the head and just walks off.

'holyshit I'm alive, I'm fucking ALIVE!'
