37 Chapter 37: New Friend?

It had been a couple of days since the Assessment in the arena, and Lukeas was eager to learn more about the other students who had taken part in the exam. He had been surprised by the fact that most of the students had passed the assessment, but was also a bit disappointed that nothing much had happened during the exam.

Lukeas had been hoping to see some exciting battles and unique abilities being used, but most of the students had avoided using their blessings or unique skills during the assessment. As a result, Lukeas hadn't really learned anything new from the experience.

However, there were four students who had failed the assessment and were promptly kicked out of the academy. Lukeas was curious about what had happened to them and why they had failed, but he didn't get a chance to find out. All he knew was that they tried acting like they're fighting.. Enraging Mr. Amatias..

The first student to fight after the prince and Derek was Adam, one of the twins who wore the black military uniform during the entrance exam. He was pitted against someone Lukeas didn't know, but fortunately, the guy managed to last for more than 30 seconds, and he passed the assessment.

Next up was Adam's younger brother, Allen. He was matched against Xian Lian Lee, a girl from the eastern region who specialized in spearmanship. She was very good at what she did, and Allen had trouble reaching her with his dagger. The fight was intense, and Lukeas could see the determination in Allen's eyes as he tried to find a way to defeat Xian Lian.

It seemed like Xian Lian had the upper hand for most of the fight, but Allen had a trick up his sleeve. He purposely left an opening in his attack, and Xian Lian fell for his trap, allowing him to land the final blow and win the match.

After Allen's match, there wasn't much else that happened during the assessment. Lukeas confirmed that the mysterious Arthur guy was actually in a different class and not just absent, which put his mind at ease.

Despite the lack of excitement during the assessment, Lukeas was still glad to have taken part in it. He had learned more about the other students in his class and had gained a better understanding of their abilities and strengths. And he also met some new people too.

One of them is a young woman with flowing, scarlet hair that cascaded down her back like the mane of a lion. Her aura exuded a sense of grace and regality, much like the king of the jungle himself. Though her expression carried a hint of arrogance, her demeanor also conveyed a sharp intelligence and a reserved nature.

Her physique was nothing short of breathtaking - lean and toned with an unmistakable sensuality that seemed to radiate from every inch of her. Her name was Izerie Braveheart, daughter of Archduke Veheron Braveheart and Archduchess Fiora Kalspel Braveheart, two of the most powerful and influential figures in the realm.

Izerie, however, preferred to go by the nickname Izer, a name that suited her perfectly, capturing her confident and assertive personality. Though she could come across as aloof and distant, those who took the time to get to know her discovered a fiercely loyal and compassionate individual who would stop at nothing to protect those she cared about.

At least that's how it should be.. But for Lukeas who only met her.. Well she's kind of a jerk... At least, that's what he think

And how did he met her? Well.....

Three days ago, Lukeas walked out of the arena's gate alongside his fellow students, all of them looking exhausted and drained from the friendly spar and other activities they had just participated in. Despite the lack of real danger, the physical and mental strain of the intense training session had taken its toll on them.

The once-pristine uniforms were now rumpled and drenched in sweat, and their hair was matted with moisture. Each step seemed to require a great effort, and the students moved sluggishly and unsteadily, as if their bodies had been pushed to their limits.

Their collective fatigue was evident in the way they hunched their shoulders and rubbed their arms wearily. The students were gasping for breath, and the occasional groan could be heard as they struggled to put one foot in front of the other.

As Lukeas made his way out of the gate, he looked around at his fellow students, each one still panting and trying to catch their breath. The friendly spar had been an intense and grueling affair, but not on Lukeas, or the other irregulars like the royal siblings, and some nobles that were exceptionally strong.

Despite the exhaustion, however, there was a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect that permeated the air. The students had pushed each other to their limits, but they had also supported and encouraged one another throughout the training session.

As Lukeas stumbled out of the gate and into the sunlight, he let out a deep sigh of relief. "Its finally over... That bald head is intense.."

Actually.. After they all finished the "friendly spar" the bald man sir Amatias made them go through different physical test.. Lukeas believe this is one of the reason why one of the four students for kicked out.

And while Lukeas was deep in thought somebody blocked his way making him looked up who was it.

"I saw your match... You held back.. Why?"

Lukeas was taken aback by the woman's striking appearance. He couldn't help but stare at the flowing scarlet hair that seemed to radiate like a fiery aura. Her regal bearing was unmistakable, and she exuded an air of confidence that commanded respect.

As she spoke, Lukeas was struck by the hint of arrogance in her expression, but he also sensed an intelligence and a shrewdness that made him wary. He couldn't help but feel a little intimidated by this woman, whose background he knew nothing about.

But it was her physique that really caught his attention. She was lean and toned, with curves in all the right places. Her sensuality was unmistakable, and Lukeas felt a flush rise to his cheeks as he struggled to maintain his composure.

It wasn't until she introduced herself that Lukeas realized who she was. Izerie Braveheart, daughter of Archduke Veheron Braveheart and Archduchess Fiora Kalspel Braveheart, two of the most powerful and influential figures in the realm.

Suddenly, Lukeas understood why she had such an air of confidence and authority. But who are those? He swallowed nervously, wondering what she wanted from him and how influencial her family really is. Was he in trouble? And looked into her piercing green eyes, he cant help but try to recall what he did.

"huh?" shocked he couldn't respond right away.

"Your physical test results shows your much stronger.. Yet you struggled to fight off the princess.." she added.

"Ah, first of all I didn't even considered it a fight.. I was testing the knew stuff I learned and see if they work. And well i did won so yeah"

And that's where he met Izerie... After some casual introduction they started talking. Turns out she fought the first round before Lukeas could arrived at the arena. And she also made sure to know what score her classmates got in the physical exam.

"You're fucking weird." she suddenly said after a while of talking making Lukeas snap his head at her. She gave him a look that he couldn't really explain... Is it disgust? Curiosity?

"W-what? What did I do??!" he asked in surprised.

"Most of the times. People who I talked to pretty much be too scared or too polite to even engage in a conversation.. But you dont seems like it... You're too casual. You sure you dont belong in any family?" she responded turning her head and keeping an eyes up on the road while walking.

"Maybe cuz I have really have no idea who you are?" he shrugged lazily but this time it was Izerie's turn to look at him.

"What the hell did you just say?!" she bellowed with a fiery glare, her voice full of contempt. "Even the lowest of the low would know who I am and my damn family! Are you some kind of sorry excuse for a beggar living in the freaking mountains?!" The intensity in her voice was enough to make Lukeas jump back in shock.

After thinking for a while Lukeas bump his fist on the palm of his other hand "hoh.. You're completely right" Lukeas replied with a blank yet surprised face.

Izerie could help but put a palm on her face and sigh.. "Yeah.. You really are weird"

"Im leaving.. I still have some stuff to do... See ya later.... weirdo"

Watching her leave he shrugged.. "Well I do have to do some stuff too.."

And thats where Lukeas' journey in this new world starts
