Malachi had seen the destructive power of David's ability and had an idea of just how much damage it could cause.

It wasn't an exaggeration to say that David was even more powerful than some fictional heroes shown in movies.

Basically, David was a superhuman with an ability that had way too much potential for destruction.

So what did it mean when a zombie is able to take several hits from David's destructive power without dying?

A zombie?!

Malachi's body shook.

It could only mean that the zombie was exceptionally powerful.

Malachi did not like the thought and the reality of things.

It wasn't that he couldn't accept that a monster that could withstand David's ability existed; what he was just finding hard to accept was that it was a zombie.

If it was a monster dog, it was bad news at the end of the day, of course, but a zombie? Malachi did not like that.
