"Ugh," a groan escaped Malachi's lips as he opened his eyes slowly. His body ached, and the position he was in looked like it would only worsen, so Malachi shifted his body a little.
He was still a little sleepy, but it only took a few seconds after turning around to take in his surroundings before the reality hit him.
He had fallen asleep!
Malachi quickly stood up. He had been on the lookout the previous night for any dangers that could have approached them, but to think he'd fall asleep instead.
Just as Malachi stood up, a voice reached his ears.
"You're awake, sir?" The voice sounded sleepy and a little less energetic, but it was also familiar.
Malachi immediately turned to look at the source of the voice, which came from the top of his car. There he found Leo staring at him with sleepy eyes.
"Good morning, sir," Leo spoke again with a yawn this time as he stretched his body.
