1 Why am I an Ant?

[Welcome child, You have suffered a horrific accident and we would like to make this up to you]

This voice echoed throughout my entire body, the feeling of being insignificant was nothing new to me. All my life my family, friends and even strangers treated me like trash, a waste of space and air. How did I die? this thought ushered into my head as a light brightened and the voice reverberated once more.

[You died with your pants down on the toilet after having rotten chicken for lunch]

I see I died WAIT WHAT? HOW COULD I DIE IN SUCH A PATHETIC WAY, I SHOULD HAVE HAD AT LEAST SOME DIGNITY WHEN I DID?

[When they found you, your bowels got evacuated]

AHHHH MY LIFE IS OVER I CANT CONTINUE ANYMORE, WHY DID I HAVE TO DIE LIKE THAT

[Do not worry Child we will correct this for you, we will send you to a world full of mysticism and wonder. All we ask is that you enjoy your life without worry]

Really I can start over? this sounds like the plot to a manage or a novel I used to read, Will there be magic and magical creatures?

[Yes my child you will be able to Cultivate, Now be free and Enjoy your new life!]

The once gleaming light began to consume my very being, all I could feel was the warmth it provided and the generous nature of this being I will never forget you!

The warm sensation faded as my eyes opened into the new world, Finally my new life begins! in front of my was a large creature wait no is that an ant? no it cant be its so big?

"Arise my children and come greet your mother" her voice boomed out

Is she talking to me? this strange sensation I cannot help but adhere to her call like a sense of being and order. I walked...wait...WHY DO I HAVE 6 LEGS!!!??? this is my new life right? maybe the god voice messed up and will fix it?. However before I realized it I was standing in a line of ants facing the queen.

She was larger then all the rest and had an air of pressure exerting off her body that made us bow in her presence.

"My dear children welcome to the family, I will now analyze and inspect each of you" her voice boomed through my head

She leaned in to each of our faces one by one assigning us roles based on some traits. ahhh she's so scary looking please don't eat me please don't eat me I chanted as she got closer to me.

"Warrior, Gatherer, Warrior, Warrior, Gatherer"

Here we go I am next, I puffed my chest out hoping to achieve the great role of Warrior after all this is a dream so might as well get the best role.

"Useless Leave my hive"

YES WAR-.....WAIT WAIT WAIT WHY WOULD I NOT BE AMAZING IN MY NEW LIFE!!

"GET OUT" her voice boomed and blew me away

I slowly arose, and proceeded to the exit after all I didn't want to be here anyway if they cant see my strength then they don't deserve me! Well that slowly turned into a run as I realized the entire colony was chasing after me to hurry me out. I'M LEAVING I'M LEAVING PLEASE STOP!

A light at the end of the tunnel, a sign of hope and a beacon that my new life will finally turn around! that was until I got outside and realized I was in the middle of the jungle. The trees stretched high into the sky, grass was as big as any skyscraper, Life as an Ant sure is hard. Well by any mean's I should go and find a new place to live and wait what do ant's eat? do I even need water?

Begrudgingly I began to march away from the colony, There has to be something around here. The sun beat down hard on my skin, wait do I have skin or is this more like a shell? either way it is hot. It is hard to say how far I have traveled as my legs are small, a distance that would take a few minutes when I was human was easily taking me a few hours. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse the sun was blocked out. The earth shook under my new found feet and as I looked up my new life was already coming to an end as a foot was descending upon me. So I ran. MY NEW LIFE CANNOT END LIKE THIS ALREADY I HAVE TO AT LEAST TRY! and then it came down. Did you know ant's are hard to step on if you are not trying to do it purposefully? I managed to find a crack in the sandal of this person oh an apparently I can climb any a surface upside down.

A free ride to where we are going this has to be the best thing that has happened to me today! The wind strong with their stride, it took all my strength to keep from falling off however it was much faster then walking on foot. As they continued I slowly walked up to their waist to put myself in their pocket so the wind would be less aggressive. I found myself asleep before I knew it.

The darkness filled my eyes when I awoke, however I could see in that darkness. A bright blue light protruded from the outside of the clothes that hid me. Crawling out I was greeted by a large arch from what appeared to be Chinese architecture, The courtyard was filled with young persons practicing martial arts. As my mount walked through they all bowed and welcomed them home as the Young Master, HAHA I latched myself onto someone great!

We strolled inside to be greeted by an old man with a large white beard, my mount bowed to this person so they must be the head of the family. They began to converse about various things starting with the progress of their cultivation. From what I understood the old man had progress to the Golden Core Stage while my Mount had just broken into the Earth Body stage. Of course I have no idea what any of that means however it might be worth sticking on this mount for awhile. What had really peaked my interest however was the mount was given the task of teaching the new recruits, Maybe I could cultivate as well?

A cold feeling shook my body, is that old man looking at me? his eyes are in my direction but I am a mere ant so I doubt he even notices me. As their conversation finished my mount went towards the dining room where his meal was prepared, it looked and smelled like I have never seen before the simple aroma made my glands salivate. Did you know ants salivate? Luckily I managed to find a crumb that fell onto the mounts lap. Bread a simple yet fantastic meal for those who have eaten since they were born.

My new life truly has begun however as a mere ant I do not expect to live long. But I must make the most of this starting tomorrow I will do my best to learn from this mount! after all what else am I going to do with my life? The mount retired to their room, wind quickly broke my grip as I found myself falling from their clothes. Ah they took their clothes off I realized on my long descent. Did you know ants do not die from falling?

Sleep did not come quickly that night as I had a long Journey ahead of to reclaim my spot on the mount. The morning sun arose penetrating the fabric covering the window, ah I wonder what is for breakfast. After managing to get back on the mount we went for breakfast, it was bread again.....

Out in the courtyard eager new recruits that recently joined the sect were awaiting the Mounts arrival to pass on the knowledge of cultivation. Being on their clothes I managed to get a good view of their lesson and followed along. Starting off we were taught Qi condensation to form a solid base to work with. According to the mount it would take months before we would be able to perfect it. BUT I MUST NOT GIVE UP MY NEW LIFE IS JUST STARTING!
