2 Leo

Leo grown to be a cute and a friendly baby.

If they go anywhere, and if he meets everyone, he flail his arm everywhere, like waving to everyone, while giggling cutely and shows his non-existence tooth.

If he has been bathing by Tiara or sometimes Mike, his hand and feet too, always flail happily, again, while giggling cutely.....seems like giggling is his favorite to do.

Like other babies, when he is about 2 months, his eyesight start to function, although not fully perfect, but Mike, Tiara and Lily are really happy.

Usually Lily always make noises while plays her fingers in front of him, just so that his little brother's eyes follow her fingers, even sometimes talk to him.

Mike and Tia always laugh while watch their interaction, especially when after that, Lily just pout her lips, because she feels like Leo didn't want to talk to her, whereas it's happen because Leo still cannot talk.

That routinitas always occur everyday, until Leo was about 5 or 6 months, when something weird happen.

One time, when Mike was shaking a toy in front of Leo, he was catching something unusual, it was like Leo's eyes aren't focused to the toy.

But Mike ignore it, he just thought that maybe Leo just was not in the mood to play, so he did another thing that could make Leo's mood was up.

He tickle Leo's side, and just like that, Leo was back to his usual giggly baby, and Mike was forgot that weird moment immediately.

One day, Nino...Mike and Tiara's best friend came to their house regarding the dinner invitation from Mike himself.

He came by just with his only daughter, Rhonda, whose almost the same age with Lily, without his wife.

Well, Nino is a widower, his wife was passed away 5 years ago, while giving birth to Rhonda, and until now, seems like he is not interested to get married again.

"Hi, Nino, Rhonda! How have you been? Nice to meet the both of you again."

Mike and Tiara greet them gleefully before hug them.

Indeed, they weren't seen each other for a long time.

The last time they met each other was when Tiara giving birth to Leo which about 6 or 7 months ago, long enough, right?

When the parents enganged in their own conversation, their chidren plays in the living room.

Like usual Lily and Rhonda busily tease and try to play with Leo, even though Leo himself was just couldn't talk much yet, he was just could said ' mommy', 'daddy' or sometimes 'lil', for Lily.

"Ew, why does his eyes like that? It make his face ugly."

Suddenly Rhonda talk loudly with the hint of disgust in her voice.

"What did you say? Ugly? Are you kidding? He's really handsome, don't you see that? Handsome."

Lily talk back with more loudly voice and filled with anger.

No one can insult his baby brother like that, no one.

"But he is really ugly."

Rhonda said again, now with mocking laugh.

"No! He's handsome."

"Ugly, ugly, ugly!"

Rhonda mock again, Leo start to wail, he didn't understand yet, but maybe he didn't like the fight.

Lily raise his hand to hit Rhonda, but Mike grab it quickly, and Nino grab Rhonda.

"Lily! What are you doing?"

Mike ask in disbelief, Lily is not a person that easily angry, especially hit?

"She was insulting Leo, Dad, she said that Leo was ugly, it make me angry, I hate the people that insulting my dear little brother."

Lily explain with tears streaming her face.

Mike just pull Lily in his arm, hug her tightly while comfort her, even tough he himself rather angry.

"Rhonda, is that true?"

Nino ask his daughter.

"Yes, but he is really ug-..."

"Rhonda! It's not good to mock or insult someone, alright? Apologize now."

"But, Dad..."

"Apologize!"

Nino glare to his daughter, he really disappoint with her.

He really try to raise her to be a good person with a kind manner, but...

"I-I'm sorry, Lily, I don't know what I think, insulting Leo like that, he is just a baby."

"It's alright, Rhonda, I forgive you, but promise me...don't ever insult him again, or...I will hate you forever."

"I promise, I'm so sorry."

Lily hug her immediately.

"Then...we are still best friend, right?"

Rhonda ask Lily hesitantly.

"Yes, best friend...forever."

"Thank you, Lily."

Mike and Nino smile each other.

"Mike, I'm so sorry, I didn't think that Rhonda will act like that."

"It's okay, Nino, she's just a child, I think it's still norm-..."

"No, it's not normal, child or not, she shouldn't insult or mock someone like that."

"Yeah, you're right."

"I'm sorry again, Mike."

"It's okay."

"Everything okay here?"

Tiara suddenly stand amongst them with concern in her face.

"Yeah, honey, everything is okay, let's continue our dinner."

"Wait a minute, I just want to put Leo to sleep."

Tiara move to Leo's crib, but she stop suddenly.

"Ooh...he already sleeping, my handsome baby."

"See, everything is okay, come on, honey."

Mike grab his wife's waist and urge her to be back to the dining room.

"Okay, come on...sweet dream, dear boy."

Tiara kiss Leo's forehead before following his husband.

She really hope that everything really okay, that the bad feeling she have recently is not true.

Yes, in the last few days, she feels that Mike was distancing himself from Leo, especially since he found something's wrong with Leo.

She knows that too, but just ignore it, considering Leo is still a baby, and a baby is still in a body development, right?
