Vigilante to Highschool Student

After the police arrived they had asked what happened to which both Jase and the child responded that they didn't know what had happened either.

"One minute I was scared for my life then the next minute the Flash saved me." the child cheered.

"The Flash?" the cop asked and looked at me with one of his eyebrows tilted.

"I know it sounds crazy but after that slim guy over there pulled a gun, some weird yellow lightning came out of nowhere and saved the kid then vanished," Jase explained.

The cop continued to question Jase and the child for a couple more minutes before leaving. The child's mother came shortly after and thanked Jase for saving her son.

Jase looked back at the kid who had his finger over his mouth, "Thanks." he murmured to himself.

Jase walked to a nearby park that seemed quiet, sat on a bench, and just stared at the ring, "What are you?" he asked himself.

Jase thought about what he had done and smirked. He stood up and pointed a finger at a tree.

"C'mon, how does this work!?" Jase shouts as he does pose after pose trying to do something.

Jase started to feel lightheaded as he started to feel like energy was being sucked out of him. Things start to black and white as Jase passes out.

"Wake up, chosen one!" a voice shouted.

Jase wakes up screaming, "Where the hell am I!?" he asked.

"You should've seen the look on your face, priceless." a man laughed as he walked closer towards Jase.

"Who are you!? Where am I!?" Jase asked aggressively.

"The name is Tohnie and you're inside the ring," Tohnie says.

"Ring!?" Jase asks.

"The ring that magically showed up on your finger, it's one of the 4 rings of positive energy—well actually it's 3 now," Tohnie explains.

"So why do I have that ring?" Jase asked, calming down a bit.

"Well... I was the previous wielder of that ring, but I'm dead." Tohnie says.

"Dead!? Then who am I talking to right now!?" Jase asks.

"Chill kid, your gonna lose your voice at this rate, I'm dead in the real world but being a wielder of the rings means that our souls don't move on, we stay in the rings for eternity, you can only see me right now but you will soon learn how to see the others," Tohnie explains, "One other thing kid, the person who killed me will be out for you next, so you better learn how to channel your positive energy or you'll die next," Tohnie says as he slowly vanishes.

"Wait!?" Jase screams as he wakes up in the real world, "Channel your positive energy?" he asks himself, staring at the ring on his right hand.

Jase runs home and takes a nap telling himself that it was all a dream, that he didn't just shoot lightning and run faster than a speeding bullet. He wakes up feeling more refreshed than usual and reaches out for his phone.

"Let's see, 6 o'clock!? I'll be late for school at this rate if I don't change," Jase says to himself, he sprints to the bathroom, while taking off his clothes he notices the ring on his hand and his eyes widen up.

"No no no no no no no!" Jase shouts, "Everything from last night was real!? It wasn't a dream!" he asks himself.

Jase jumps when he hears a knock at the door.

"Yo! Hurry up!" a boy shouts.

"Yeah Bruce, I'm on it," Jase says, he grabs a shampoo bottle and washes his hair under the sink.

"Finally, the hell were you doing!? And get your ass dressed!" Bruce angrily asks.

"I'm going, damn!" Jase shouts back, "Impatient mother fucker." Jase tells himself.

Jase gets dressed and runs sprints to school, "Imma be late imma be late imma be late" Jase repeats to himself.

Jase makes a turn and sees a car speeding towards a couple walking to a store, "Watch out!" he screams.

The couple looks at Jase and as they turn around they see a car 7 feet away from them, they start to scream. Jase runs to them and just as the car reaches them, the ring glows and time starts slowing down. Lightning scatters everywhere with every step and movement Jase makes. Jase starts to move quicker and quicker, his clothes burning up. Jase grabs the woman first, carrying her to the sidewalk, and does the same to the man. He looks at the car and notices that the driver is passed out.

Jase runs to the door of the car and grabs the passed out driver. He runs back to where he was standing before and looks down at the ring.

"Maybe you're not so bad afterall." Jase says to the ring.

The car continues its path towards Jase. With no time to react Jase sticks his hand out, causing the car to stop and adding a deep hand shaped dent to the front. He looked at his hand and back up and noticed people walking up to him.

"If they see my face then I'm screwed." Jase tells himself, the ring glows and Jase speeds away.

"What was that?" the woman asked

"I'm getting the hang of this," Jase smiles.

It takes Jase just a couple of seconds till he arrives at school, "Going from vigilante to high school student" he laughed to himself.

Throughout the day the only thing Jase thought about was the ring and his new found abilities. After class Jase went to the bathroom to fix his hair.

He looks at the mirror and notices that his bruises aren't there any more, "Speed, lightning, strength and now super healing?!" He shouts in his head.

Jade continues looking in the mirror, clearly lost in thought. He starts to think of all sorts of things he could now do.

A basketball knocks him out of thought and notices Terrance and his posse laughing to themselves.

"Yo! The fuck man!" Jade angrily shouted.

"What? We didn't do anything." Terrance said, laughing in between each word.

Jase ring turns a purple color before going back to blue, "Have your fun man." Jase said as he headed towards the door. "Fucking dumb asses." Jase says to himself while walking through the hall.

"Who's the dumbass?" A mysterious voice asked.

"Woah!" Jase jumped.

"Pussy!" A cute girl laughed at him.

"Who the hell are you?"

"My name is Nadia, and what's yours?"

Jase just stared at her like she was crazy.

"Hey! You stare too much then people would think we're dating!" She laughed

"Sorry, I'm Jase."

"Honestly, I already knew that."

"Huh?"

"We're in the same math class dumby."

"I didn't know."

"It's probably because your head is always down."

"Oh yeah, math just isn't my thing."

"Oh believe me I KNOW."

"Yeah yeah yeah, keep laughing."

"Oh I will, but you should've said school isn't your thing. You fucking suck at it in general!"

"I-okay why are you even talking to me?!"

"You looked pretty pissed and took that as a chance to finally talk to you. Plus all my other friends are in clubs!"

"I see. I'm going to get some lunch now."

"Then I'll come along."

Jase and Nadia grabbed lunch and headed towards the roof. On the roof there was a couple sharing lunch and some students smoking.

"Crowder than usual."

"You hang here a lot? Damn, you really embrace the whole lone wolf with a dark past thing all too seriously, don't you?"

"The fuck does that even mean?"

"It means that you're waaaaaay too lonely for your own good—-I just thought of something awesome! You should hang with me and my friends, they're usually not this busy so you can hang with us tomorrow."

"—-sure, I don't have anything else going on."

Jase and Nadia both jump at the noise of screaming.

"Someone help?!?!" One of the students who was smoking shouted.

Jade and Nadia rush, both noticing a student hanging onto a window from a floor below.

"We need to do something-" Nadia said, noticing Jase was nowhere to be seen.

"I can't hold on much longer!" The student shouted as his fingers started slipping."

"Okay Jase, you can do this-" Jase said just as he saw the student falling through a nearby window.

Jase starts running. Time, slowing down. Lightning shooting out of his body. Pieces of clothing burning off to his immense speed.

He runs to the floor below. Towards the side that the student fell from. Jumping out a window, breaking the glass. He grabbed the student.

Time starts flowing Normally again.

"-elp me!" The student shouted.

Jase looked down and noticed that he is currently floating above ground. Eyes widened he looked at the student.

"Did you save me?" He asked, closing his eyes intensely.

"I-it appears that I have." Jase said, with a rather staticy voice.

Slowly Jase began floating down to the ground. More students start running his way.

"Stay safe kid." Jase said and ran off.

"Was that? No it couldn't have been." Nardia said to herself

School speaker starts telling all the students to head towards the buses, that they will be leaving early. Apparently some teachers saw the whole thing go down and thought it would be best to end school early.

Nardia ran towards the student who fell, "Did you see who it was?" She asked.

"Nah, his eyes were way too bright." He told her.

"That was crazy!" Jase shouted to himself, looking at the school from afar.

Jase stumbled around thinking of what he did. First the car incident and now this. He ran towards his house, he found his mom freaked out from the incident at the school, she questioned why he was there so early. Blocking out her questions he noticed the TV playing talking about a lightning metahuman hero.

"Police haven't given any official answers but some citizens are saying it's a sign of god and some say it's a military experiment"

Jase, still blocking out his mother's words, began staring at the medal his dad had earned while on the force 'I'll be back kiddo' he kept hearing. Thinking to himself Jase had an idea. He closed his eyes and clenched his fist, thinking of the two guys who wanted to kidnap the kid, then he thought of the car incident, and finally he thought of the most recent incident. He intensely opened his eyes which had a blue glow to them.

"Hey mom, do you still have dad's police equipment?" Jase asked.

"You dodged all my questions and answers with that?" She said, "Of course we do, they're in my closet. Why are you asking? You're not planning on shooting up the school are you? She asked.

"No, I just wanted to know." He said, looking back at his dad's medal.
