101 Surprise Visit

Akane was still a lying-in bed, feeling exhausted from all the pain that was still coursing through her body.

It was annoying for her, very.

The last time she felt so exhausted was when she was still at that orphanage, getting neglected, her sickness not treated, thinking back at it now, she wondered how she survived all of that.

But she didn't let those memories drag her down, she was surrounded by happiness now and that was the thing that mattered.

Suddenly she felt a spark of pain go through her body, making her wince.

She really didn't like the state she was in, it reminded her of the days when her body was still frail, when she still was very weak, having almost no resistance to any sickness, she trained for it to not be like that anymore, she refused to back down to sickness in any way, because that was the fastest (and most ridiculous) way to gain a resistance to it, but now?

Now she was in that state of weakness and she hated it. Tears slowly flowed out of the corner of her eyes.

She couldn't do anything, but endure the pain she was currently in.

She was weak and she couldn't do anything.

Suddenly she felt a cold hand wipe the tears from her eyes away.

Subconsciously, amidst all her pain she activated the true power of her eyes, making her able to see, to replace the currently not functional hearing sense of hers she usually uses to 'see'.

Normally it would hurt, but the little pain from her eyes was drowned out.

She saw that her mother was here, it was a little gesture, but she felt relieved, knowing that she was sitting by the side of her bed.

She grabbed the cooling hand and placed it right on her cheek, with this she felt like being able to endure the pain more easily and with that she finally fell asleep.

Seeing this action of her daughter made the mother smile. Akane just seemed so adorable when she searched for the touch of others.

Like always, she was still the frail, little girl searching for affection and love.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fumio left the room after Akane finally fell asleep.

She was still worried to death about the situation, especially after what the doctor said after the examination.

Something about an unknown energy coursing rampantly through her body, he put it into the category of a VERY late quirk awakening, but the fact that despite all of these symptoms her quirk-factor didn't show up made her think that this energy was something unrelated to quirks.

She sighed. There was no use trying to contemplate over the unknow without any clues.

She tried to think about the various incidents where Akane got hurt, but it seemed like most of them were all unrelated to each other.

"Hey, sweetheart. Is our daughter doing any better?"

Fumio smiled after she saw her wife trying to cheer her up with a bit of a cheery attitude. Well, at least she was trying to be considerate.

Fumio shook her head, visible seeing how her expression immediately dropped.

"Oh. Is she at least asleep? Getting some decent shut eye."

This time Fumio nodded, relieving the room of a bit of tension.

"Sigh, I am sorry about all of this, but I just don't know what to do, or even to say! You know that I am not a team player, or better said, was. I just don't really know how to take care of a human life, I mean thinking about it, I guess I am lucky that I ended up with Akane as my daughter, but you know! She is also just only a human, under her perfect guise! What does someone like me know how to take care of someone."

Fumio listened to her wife ranting a bit. It was a justified concern, she was after all someone that believed that fighting in a team was just for weaklings trying to cover up for their weaknesses, but after she experienced that traumatic experience, she learned that sometimes having the chance to fall back to someone was pleasant.

Having that new concept in mind she wanted to be there for Akane. To be relied on by her, but as always that girl just had that single minded obsession to master something once she sat eye on it, usually she overcame the obstacles all by herself, without even the need to look for help.

Fumio started to smile and to pat the head of her wife. Wanting to be a good parent, what a cute worry.

"Hey, why are you looking at me with that smile? I am serious!"

She laughed at that reaction. Yep, Rumi was indeed a cute rabbit.

"Rumi, I understand your worries, after all I had to learn myself when it was the right moment to approach my little girl, that especially counted for the fact that I was a single for most of my life and never took care of someone else. It was difficult to learn to read the mood to ask her, or when it wasn't wrong to push a bit more about my questions, because we weren't blood related I had to do my best to be a good mother for that girl."

Rumi's ears dropped as she heard that. That wasn't the thing she wanted to hear.

"But of course, I know that this is what you wanted to hear. After all I just basically told you to suck it up and just continue like before, what kind of shit answer is that if I leave it at that, right?"

Rumi was surprised as she heard that, after her brain processed what her wife she said the two started to laugh.

Yes, she was happy with the choice of marrying this woman.

After the laughter died down the two of them looked each other deep in the eye.

"Well. Being there for someone doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be there for them when they have big worries, well it would be good if you are there for them in these situations, but for that you also need to be someone trustworthy in their eyes. How about you start with more little, mundane things, like going training with her? Or how about just little things like putting a blanket on her when she is asleep or buying food for her? I know it sounds like nothing and it is honesty very silly, but I am sure she will rely on you a lot more if you do this."

Rumi nodded, indeed that was very sound and simple advice, she wondered why she couldn't think of that.

Suddenly Fumio yawned, she didn't know, but Rumi always found it very cute how she looked that she was sleepy.

"Well, I woke up early because of worries, but I still am very sleepy. Wake me up when something serious happened to Akane."

With that said, Fumio walked upstairs again, disappearing into the second floor. She was a woman that held her sleep precious after all.

Despite it being one in the afternoon. Akane really took her time to fall asleep.

Rumi started stretching and looked around the house, it was clean, very clean.

There was just problem, it wasn't as clean as usual. She didn't expect this, but the difference of missing even a single day of cleaning, letting the dust of the former day accumulate one the furniture was a noticeable difference, which usually was not.

Rumi gulped, Akane really had a bit of a cleaning problem, but that wasn't her main concern, her main concern was that she wouldn't be able to go back to a live where the house wasn't this clean.

She shook her head, now wasn't the time do dwell on things like that, she would only notice it more the more she looked at it.

After she resolved herself to ignore the dust she decided to cook to distract herself.

It was one in the afternoon and she was sure that the family would appreciate it if there was food on the table, she decided to do some rice gruel, after all that was the go-to food if someone was sick and it wasn't hard to do.

After all the main recipe only asked you to put rice and water together and stir it so long until it turned to gruel, nothing difficult.

But as that it was way too bland of course, so she put some salt, mushrooms, and spring onions into it.

She hoped that she didn't mess up somewhere in the process. (The author also hopes that)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cooking process took longer than expected, particularly because she had the feeling that she did something wrong, but at the end she managed to procure something that was edible and didn't taste too bad, she was a bit proud, considering that she couldn't really cook before she married Fumio.

She sat down and ate her portion, most of it was for the precious cinnamon roll after all.

Suddenly the doorbell rang. Rumi wondered who would visit this time of the day, before she realized that it was about half past three in the afternoon already, about the time when the last lesson in UA ends and Akane would need to walk home from there.

It probably was a classmate or something, bringing Akane her school tasks or something.

Well, that was to be expected from a prestigious school such as UA. She interrupted her meal, stood up from her seat and walked to the house door and used the door phone to hear who was on the other side of the door, across front yard, behind the gate to this estate.

Now that she thought about it, this door phone was rarely used.

Fumio's sisters would let themself in without permission, her stepparents always came alongside with her and Akane would intercept her friends exactly the same moment when she finishes her daily training.

How does that girl keep doing that?

Anyways...

"Here is the Seigi Residence, who is there?"

Meanwhile on the other side of the line was the entirety of class 1A, including Shoto, who was forced alongside by the class.

Their reasoning, 'if the entire class decided to find out the location of the house, then you might as well come with us!'.

And with that he was forced alongside.

How they found the location, despite her not disclosing the information about her living place and them not having the access to the student files?

They extorted Momo, after she tried hiding behind Majeta (for whatever reason she was there) who was then also extorted the information out of, even she could not refute them and now they were here.

The class was surprised by the sudden voice, simply because they still were in thought about the question if the house was a mansion or not.

"He - Hello, Mrs. Usagiyama. It's me, Majetta..."

"...and Momo."

"Right, it's us two. We brought Akanes assignments."

There was a second silence on the line, making the two wonder if there was a problem with the connection.

"You two do realize that I see the entirety of class 1A through the peephole, right?"

Now there was a different kind of silence between the two ends of the lines.

"We are sorry, but the class was too curious about Akane. It felt like my life was threatened if I didn't tell them."

"I can confirm what Momo said."

"..."

""...""

"Meh, who cares. It's not as if you lot are all fanatics about her music and even if, as students of UA I can trust you all to not disclose that kind of information to the public, right?"

The entire class immediately said yes after that question.

"Well, I guess I open the door for you now."

And so, the class waited for the sound to come that signaled that the gate was unlocked, but instead Rumi walked out of the door and opened it herself, which was a delight for the class to say the least.

She was still the number four hero of Japan after all.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile in the classroom of 1A in UA:

A certain pervert with the 'grape' quirk was bond to a seat in the classroom.

The memory was vivid in him.

The class was extorting information of the two beauties that were Akanes friends, it seemed that they were about to crack, and he was excited to learn about the living location of Japans, no, one of the world's most beautiful idols.

Until...

"Alright! I promise you that I lead you to her house, but on one condition!"

He wondered what that condition was, until it hit him right into the face.

"Leave that person behind! He seems like a giant pervert to me, that would use his quirk to grab onto me!"

And that was how he ended up in this position. Bound to his seat in class.

But that won't discourage him! He will escape his bounds, his life counted on that!

And so, he started wriggling from his seat.

"Too bad that he will tilt his seat in the wrong direction, making a table fall on him."

"Huh, what did you just say Hisho?"

"Nothing, headmaster. Nothing."
