Another Mass Shooting

Will emerged from behind the bar, but the bartender stopped him with his frail hands.

"What are you doing?" the bartender said.

"Don't you wanna live?" Will whispered, shrugging the bartender's hand off of his shoulder.

"Don't you?" asked the bartender. Of course he wanted to, but why were they even here? They just started firing. Was it a hate crime? A violent protest?

They were walking to the bathrooms. Probably to check if anyone was in there.

One of them said to another, "Stand guard here,"

He pointed to the outside of the men's bathroom. Two of them went into the men's, and two went into the woman's. That was when Will made his move. He ducked under tables, avoiding broken champagne bottles and thrown chairs.

Will moved to a small wall that was on the outside of the bathrooms. The guy was still standing guard. He took out his knife and threw it at the guard's head. It hit him right in the temple and killed him instantly. "Clear."

"Clear." The guards were slamming the stall doors as Will walked over to the guy and took his knife and grabbed the guy by his armpits and dragged him behind the wall. He felt like a hitman.

The armed men walked out of the bathrooms at the same time. "Where's Tee?" one of them asked.

"There's a hero among us. Keep your eyes peeled," one of them said. "Mister Aoi said no prisoners and find to that girl," said the same person. They all moved tactically and carefully, like they were ready for anything.

"Why are they showing their faces?" Will thought. They had no masks and there were visible bullet holes in the walls of the club. He stayed behind the wall while they walked toward the stage.

He crouched again and walked toward the bar. He slipped behind it when he heard gunshots again. The gunmen had shot another person. They were hiding under the stage behind a curtain.

"You two go up," said the same guy who always gave out orders. "He's probably the leader," Will said. The bartender nodded and grabbed a bottle of beer off the counter.

"Don't break that yet," Will whispered.

"I'm not an idiot," said the bartender, clutching the bottle. Those other two armed men got to the VIP door. "Quiet, there's someone-,"

GRRGH!

A Katana went through the door and then slid back in. It one man and the other guy opened fire at the door. The others rushed up the stairs, then the bartender broke the bottle on the counter.

He thought the gunfire would drown out the noise, but it didn't.

BRRR! BRRR!

Bullets hit the wooden bar. The bartender and Will ducked just in time. They put their hands over their ears and pieces of wood went flying.

The two slid to one side of the bar and swung the mini-door open. They ducked to each side.

BRR! BRRRR!

Four of the men were still upstairs. They were trying to pry the door open, but nothing worked.

"Thanks a lot, now we're gonna die," Will said frustratingly.

One armed man rushed downstairs and over to the other side of the bar. He opened fire down the lane, but the two weren't there. The armed man threw every bottle off the display area. Glass and alcohol hit the floor as he kept walking.

"Stab him," Will lip-synced to the bartender. He nodded and readied his weapon. When the armed guy got to the end, the bartender stabbed him in the foot. But the guy was wearing thick boots; it didn't pierce them. He shot the bartender mercilessly as blood flew everywhere, but Will was behind him.

Will took his knife out and stood up. He grabbed the guy by the neck forcefully and slit his throat. Then he dragged him behind the bar.

But usually elsewhere...

"Mr. Shi, they're gonna get in eventually," said Jade. She was talking to a man holding an extremely sharp Katana.

"And we'll be ready," Mr. Shi said. They were at the room's edge, sitting down and waiting.

"Let me do this," said Jade. She walked over to an explosives' box behind an enormous desk in the room. It was like she knew where it was. She pried it open and took three grenades. Then she took a roll of tape and put some tape on the grenades.

BRRRR! BRRRR!

Gunshots still rang throughout the club.

"Crap, I'm out of clips," one armed man said.

"Me too," said another.

"Me also, just take out your knives and try cutting the knob," the leader said.

They started doing that when... BOOM!

The door flew off and one man flew towards the stairs. His neck snapped when it hit one of the last steps. He died instantly.

The door hit another man in the head, and it knocked him unconscious. He laid by the open pathway into the room.

The leader leaned against the wall at the last second though, but he was already dead as there was another grenade at his feet.

BANG!

It blew him to smithereens. Jade walked out of the room with her DE and shot the unconscious man in the face. Then he died.

"Ruthless, I like it," Mr. Shi thought.

Will was still behind the bar going through the guy's pockets. He found some car keys and knife. When he peeped over and saw Jade walking down the steps. He ran from the behind and walked next to her.

"Can we leave now?" he asked.

Jade gave him, looked him up and down and said, "What happened to you?"

"I survived, what do you think happened?" he said back.

When they got outside, they stopped at the Corlettee. It was still dark and humid. Jade turned around and looked at Mr. Shi.

"Do you have it?" she asked.

"Yes... I do. Here you go," he said, handing a black briefcase with the Japanese word of 'life' on it.

"Isn't it ironic?" Will said, stepping up. He looked at the briefcase and then glanced at Mr. Shi from the side.

"Yes. Yes, it is," Mr. Shi snickered, and then turned away.

"Do you have someone to help you clean all that?" Will asked. But Mr. Shi didn't answer, he just walked away. Hands behind his back, his Katana in its holster, and a slow walk.

"Woah," said Will, amazed at how chill he was.

"Let's go," said Jade, while she opened the door to the car.

"Hey. Do you see that?" Will said, pointing to a white van across the road. Every other car was gone except for the van and the red sports car, which was Mr. Shi's.

"That must be theirs'," said Jade. She was calculating the situation.

"You coming?" Will said. He was already in front and close to the van.

Jade walked over and Will unlocked the door with the keys he had found on the man behind the bar.

The inside of the van was a lab. And there were vials and blueprints that looked like the one Will had. He held it out and placed it next to the other blueprint.

They were identical. There were flasks and bottles everywhere on a table. They latched it onto the van.

"What are they planning?" Jade said.
