3 Chapter Three

Two days later, Jacob and Brad were on their first mission, near the mountain in China. Jacob went in first to the cave and they were hunting a werewolf. It was dark with the flashlights then Jacob looked down and told his squad. Which made up of him Brad a blonde-haired girl named Betty and the two shuzen sisters.

" Hey, turn off your light girls," they looked at him as Brad turned his off. They followed and as they did the cave glowed from the crystals on the walls. It was so beautiful and colorful, there were greens, blues, yellows, and red swarming the cave.

Jacob looked and saw the werewolf running at them. Jacob could pull his sword out at the time the wolf closed in. Jacob clenched his fist and punched the wolf in the face knocking it back.

As it staggered back all three girls charged the beast and struck with their weapons. The werewolf didn't seem to die from the cuts, Brad then pulled his rifle out and pull the trigger, the flame coming from the barrel glowed from the cave out where the captain could see from the video screen she was watching. Jacob then pulled his sword out and cut the beast down where the wound was.

As Jacob dragged the monster out a helicopter came and pick them up. Jacob's eye's closed and then slept till they got to the base. When he was woken up by Brad and he was dirty and bloody. They walked to a mission-ready room which was where Jacob would respond to mission calls. He was debriefing with the head captain and his captain.

" Jacob you are a great addition to the unit so well trained and you know a lot of things about nature. How did you know about the crystal cave being able to glow? " Jacob smiled "I watch a lot of nature shows and read a lot of documents in the area we hunted"

Jacob bowed and said thanks then left to the mess hall. When he got there Brad had a good cup of tea and a sandwich waiting for him. Jacob patted his back, "thanks for that shot without that and the girls may have been killed." said Jacob. Brad smiled back at his brother. " Good thing you read a lot of books on stuff like that we all could've been killed," said Brad. The two went back and forth with the mission and then Mou and sky came up with Betty. "Thank you for saving us on the werewolf today we want you to have these lunch boxes Stron brothers." said sky. Jacob took the box and looked inside. "Japanese lunch box cooler, brad here have one," Jacob said handing one to Brad. Jacob took a bite of the rice cakes and yellow sauce. Jacob's face lit up with fire as he tasted the amazing food. Jacob then turned and said, " Thank you for this meal, it's awesome." Mou blushed as she said she made it. Jacob smiled, then ate the whole thing and Jacob asked if they wanted to sit.

They all did and brad looked at Jacob then smiled, " you girls don't get to interact with guys do you?" they shook their heads no, Jacob then said, "you must've been trained from a very young age as special units do? " They shook their heads, yes, Jacob sighed, " I see, so this is your first time one on one with none military personnel guys isn't it." Mou then said " yes, it is we usually spend time with our father but they are generals. " Jacob smiled "ok someday you might meet a person besides your parents to call more than the team."

After lunch, Jacob went to his room laid down on his bed. Jacob was almost asleep as someone knocked on the door. It was the Captain and she looked nice dressed in normal clothes. " We are going on a mission to get your civilian clothes on." Jacob didn't question why the clothes but change quickly. They went off the base and drove into town. Jacob was trying to figure out where they were going. It didn't take long then Jacob said "this is some kind of outing isn't it?" Jacob didn't get a response from the Captain.

As they drove further into town Jacob saw a little cafe with a coffee logo on it. The captain stopped next to it and parked, then she said "please use my real name in her." Jacob smiled and shook his head. They walked in and they sat in the back, "what would you like, " a waiter asked them, Jacob just asked for a cup of coffee with cream. Fay asked for a cup of tea and ice cream, as they sat and drank their drinks. Fay looked at Jacob with concern. Jacob looked out the window with a dispersed look on his face.

Then She said, " how do you like this place, it's nice right?" Jacob turned and looked into her eyes. Then he smiled, " yes, it's beautiful here, but it's not like my old home. My old life was like a normal kid, full of happiness and family. Now it's just me and Brad against the world. People take to brad very easily but for me, it takes time, especially for the guys at school and even for the staff. The girls like me just fine, but the only guy friends I have are Brad and the guy who I kicked."

Fay felt he was very put down by people not liking him, who didn't like him, he was funny, caring, and just a nice person. Then she looked at him again, Jacob was scared to point with his straight face. Jacob looked at Fay again and she blushed, "you're just able to leave the base aren't you" he asked her. She shook her head, " most of the girls were born on the base or spent most of their lives on it." Jacob looked down "well this can be your first date with a guy." he said smiling. She blushed again, " I guess so, " then she ordered a piece of pie for Jacob.

Jacob smiled and bit into it and he loved it, "Thank you," he said. She giggled, then looked at her watch, " oh crap it's almost curfew." Jacob ate the most he could then leave a tip and ran out the door with Fay next to him after she paid.

Jacob jumped in the front and drove back for Fay. As they got to the gate the guard was standing in front of the car. Step out civilian and put your hands up. Jacob laughed, then got out, "you think I'm a civilian I'm the new recruit for the monster suppression unit. I'm Jacob Stron and think captain Fay wouldn't be happy to be late for curfew. " The guard smirked, "only girls are in that unit." Fay stepped out and got in his face, " you better let us pass and stop harassing my first lieutenant like this." The guy's face turned white and he bowed his head, " sorry mama sorry" the guy opened the gate and they drove to the home building where they lived.

Jacob went to his room and looked at himself in the mirror. He wasn't a liar or looked like he was but what was it people didn't trust him. Jacob then saw his eyes were different than most people's. His were blue, but a white ring was in the middle of them. Jacob puts his uniform back on and went to the lounge and sat in a chair and read a book.

The book was a romance novel and had plenty of kissing and falling for another. Jacob then put the book down and looked up, Mou was watching him read, he smiled, then said, " book was full of lies, not every person falls for another like this. Sometimes it's different than the others. Mou smiled at Jacob then looked away, after an hour, the sky came up to him, " Fay wants to see you Jacob" Jacob got up and left.
