Strange Life in a Strange New World

I awoke in nothing, but not an overwhelming darkness kind of nothing, more like my eyes couldn't perceive it.

A calm voice rang out to me as I was trying to make sense of my surroundings. "Hello." I blinked in supprize and as I open my eyes again to try and find where the voice came from he appeared before me.

"Congratulations you died. Yet here you are, somehow. This place shouldn't be accessible unless I say so, yet here you are...."

"What the fuck is happening?" I say before he could finally gather his thoughts. "How are you? Where are we?..." something just dawned on me as I finally got time to thing. "Who am I? I don't remember anything."

"Well then it looks like we both don't know what's happening here then...." We both stayed silent for a time before he spoke once more. "Do you want to live?" I looked up at him, but before I could say anything he kept talking. "I'm no God, actually Gods hate me, but that doesn't mean I can't give such a special soul a special gift. You will keep your knowledge and what little memory you have and be put into a vessel that suits you. what that vessel is or how strong it is I have no clue, this is my first time reincarnating some one, but I can guarantee that your soul will be safe."

"Yes!" I shout out he was even done talking, anything is better than this boring place where I woke up.

"Enthusiasm might not be the best thing, I'm putting you into a very hard and mean world... You know what I'll even give you a gift to make it easier, but before you get the gift you have to get strong enough to handle the gift. I'll also connect your soul here, so when you die you come back here. How does that sound?"

"Anything is good, I just want to live."

"That makes things easy. Now what's your name, if you remember... Oh, you don't remember do you. Ok then I'll name you, let's see you'll be named Arthur. Oh looks like it's time your soul is moving on now, before you go I'll give you a mission. Good luck"

Before I could respond to anything he told me I lost consciousness. Arthur, that name sounds familiar.

AN: well this is more of a prologue but I'll make it, I will try to post when inspiration comes to me. not in it for the money this story has just been plaguing my head for quite some time. Yes I will TRY to finish it out, No I make no promises on finishing it. Feedback is welcome, but if you insult me I will do absolutely nothing about it cause I don't care I'm doing this for me.
