4 CHAPTER 3

I woke up with the food in front of me. I saw the woman I was talking to earlier with a man dressed as her. That man looks like an American because of the tall, white skin colored and blue eyes he has. I felt my stomach was hungry. It's been a long day since I didn't even feel some food in my throat. I took the rice with the dish and ate it quickly. With so much food now in front of me, it's not possible that it will last until tomorrow night. When I felt like a bow I tried to walk to the window but I just fell to the floor because something was tied to my foot. I saw the person told looking in my direction.

"Why am I doing this?" I asked myself.

I tried to stand up even though my foot was aching. The one who just talked to me came up to me.

"Are you okay?" the woman asked me.

"Yes."

Obviously, I wasn't okay but she asked. I rolled my eyes at her in my mind. Maybe when I showed to her, it worked out what was in my hand — an iron bracelet, with a light attached to it.

"Now that's okay, let me introduce you to someone. He can help you grow faster and improve your peculiar power. He was Dr. Matthew Alcomendrea, from Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, is the original and largest Mayo Clinic campus," she acknowledged and pointed to the American man.

He smiled at me and shook his hand for a handshake. So I reach out my hand too.

"This girl was beautiful," Dr. Matthew praised.

I ignored it and suddenly returned to bed at the same time as sitting down. I wondered how long I'll be like this. If I could just go back to the past, I would never choose to have this ability.

All of a sudden I was sad when I remembered Mom and Dad. Where are they? Can they remember me? Do they miss me?

"Ah, doctor—"

"Doctor Thalia Loisse Constania," it continued on my broken call.

"Doctor Thalia, where are my parents?"

Doctor Thalia assisted Doctor Matthew who caused his departure. What was she whispering about? Doctor Thalia came up to me and sat down in front of me.

"It's been a long time that they gone. It's almost two years."

When she said that I was very hurt. My heart almost broken into pieces when I heard it. That, anytime I can die and fade. "Why are they gone? What happened to you the other day that Mom was waking me up?"

"Incredible though, you're dreaming. You're just dreaming. Whatever you see in the dream, it has happened, but it has been a while."

"How did I become alive? Am I not dead? Why did I come here?"

She took a deep sighed. "You died, actually. I won't tell why. But you are different, different among all."

"Why do I have to have this?" I pointed the iron bracelet on my hand and the tie on my foot.

"To not try to go back to the past. We need you, Calli. You will not leave us before the world's needs are met."

"What will I do? Whereas I'm doing simple help. I'm just a simple student who wants nothing to do but to live a normal life."

"Calli..." She held my hand. "I need your help. We need your help."

"Sorry, I can't," I responded. "I really can not do it. I have no idea what's going on, I can't deal with it because I'm weak."

"That's why Dr. Matthew to help you use and control your abilities. You are blessed, very blessed." She smiled at me. "Tu es aliud ab aliis."
