2 CHAPTER 1

I am walking on the aisle of the school when a student suddenly shouted.

"We're not safe here!" the way she uttered those word seems like she's so scared. A teacher held her hand asking for a help and she just pushed it away from her. "I love you, ma'am. But, I love my life more." She ran as fast as she can. My eyes followed her until she disappeared from my sight.

The time stopped so I did. I didn't move and I just watched how people around me ran as if they have a place to go. We are too young for this kind of scenery. If this will be a movie, I will just reject the director's offer. But it wasn't, it was real!

"C-Calli!"

"C-Calli!"

My name's called not just twice but many times. I saw my childhood best friend held my hand and pulled me away to the place I stood on. "You need to go home! President announced that our country are totally lockdown."

I didn't bother myself to answer her but I ran to the direction of a teacher being rejected of a student. "Ma'am, I'll bring you in your home." I held her hand and helped her to walk.

I saw my friend confused on what I am doing. I have nothing else to do but to help this teacher. I helped her get to their house. And each student we passed rushed going to their home. "Thank you for delivering me. Even though you're not my student, you helped me. Take care of your journey, the lives of many people are depending with you." A smile peeked on her face. "Tu es aliud ab aliis."

I didn't understand what she was saying, so it was good for me to run as fast as I could. My heart's beating so fast. I don't know why, I felt weird. There's no people on the road, only the breeze I felt.

"Bow down!" sounds trembling.

I acted like I didn't hear anything, because I didn't do anything. I just stood there and watched a knife flying into my heart. Slowly the knife slipped through my dress until it finally entered my innermost being.

I didn't feel any pain. All I know right now is that someone is speaking to my mind.

"Close your eyes and wish that your death was a dream."

The second time someone reminded me, I obeyed. I slowly closed my eyes, and at the same time wished that my death were a dream. "I wish I hadn't died. I wish it were a dream."

"Calli! Calli! Wake up, you need to go in school!" I slowly opened my eyes and felt the warmth of the sun. I saw my mom smiling at me holding the lunchbox she always sent me to school. "It's late. Go to bath."

"I'm alive?"

She just laughed at me. "What are you saying?"

"Ah, nothing. I will take a bath." I kissed her cheek.

After I took a shower, I went straight to school. I wore an earphone while walking. I really enjoy music. Unexpectedly, I hit a teacher and dropped her books, so I had nothing else to do but pick them up. I removed my earphone and apologized.

"Tu es aliud ab aliis."

After I heard those words, I faced her. I know she's the one who told me that before, I don't know when but it's realistic.
