5 Suicide

In her previous life as Cynthia Dorsey, she was able to dabble in qi cultivation but now in this world, she had to admit that this experience was more profound.

She could actually see everything inside her body. It was even better than looking at an X-ray or a CT scan. Actually, it was even better than cutting a body open in surgery.

Although she's rarely shocked, at that moment, her mouth was hanging open as she stared at the little pools below her. She stared dumbly, trying to count how many pools there were. But her surprise made her unable to count correctly. Her pointing finger shook and her eyes blurred.

'Is this for real?!'

Her shock could not be shaken off right away. She stopped looking at it anymore and withdrew her microscopic version of herself.

Inside the room, General Song Qing whispered to her before he left.

"Jia'er, take this elixir." He poured liquid in her mouth and wiped her lips clean with his silk handkerchief.

Once he had left, she also could feel her pulse weakening and her body growing cold.

'Ah. A fake death pill.'

Moments later, she heard a servant come into the room and screamed at the top of her lungs.

"General! Master! Madam! Come quick!" Lu Ping screamed, causing a commotion. She didn't stop until people came inside the room.

"What happened?! Mind your manners!" Huang Dan slapped the maid servant's cheek.

Cradling her reddened cheek, she bowed her head. "Madam, it's Young mistress. She's dead.."

The Second Wife's fierce expression loosened at the words spoken. She blinked a few times. "What did you say?"

By this time the maidservant Lu Ping was already sobbing. "S-she's dead."

Huang Dan gasped in surprise. Schooling her expression to show grief. "No!! You're lying! No! Huhuhuhu"

She stumbled as she approached the bed where Song Jia, her stepdaughter, was lying dead.

"Huhuhuhuhu.. Jia'er.. Why? Why did you leave so soon? Huhuhuhu.. If I could give my life so you would live, I will do it.. Huhuhuhu.. Jia'er.. You would always be my daughter… Huhuhuhu.. Why???? What would your father do when he wakes up and you're not here anymore?" Huang Dan howled until her voice was carried to the entrance of the residence.

"What?! The Young Miss Song Jia is dead?! What happened? She's still so young!" The neighbors who heard from outside chatted amongst themselves.

"She was not a sick child, isn't she? How did she die?!"

"Oh my.. And to think they only have two grandchildren. Tssss.."

"So now, only the adopted child is the only living grandchild.."

"Is it suicide?!"

"Huh? What made you think that?!"

"Did you forget already?!" The man looked at the other as if he was an idiot.

"Ah? What the heck are you talking about?! Just say it!!" The other man grumbled when he saw the look on the other man.

"Tsk. Isn't it Song Jia, the granddaughter that was supposed to marry the 5th Prince Ding Wu?" The man rolled his eyes.

"Ah!" The other clapped his hand with his fist and palm. "I remember now! Didn't that just happen days ago when the 5th prince announced his dissolution of engagement with her?"

"Correct! After she went to Tranquility Conservatory to take the entrance test by injecting spiritual energy to the crystal to show her spiritual root, she could not make it glow at all." The man heaved a sigh. "Right then and there, the 5th prince made it known that he would never marry her."

"She can't cultivate? She's a waste?!" The other was taken aback. "No wonder the 5th prince canceled their engagement. He's a prince! He can't marry a waste!"

"You got that right. She has so many reasons why she would kill herself. Apart from being a trash, and being abandoned by the 5th prince, everyone knows that she's hiding an ugly face behind her veil! If not because she's the General's granddaughter, nobody would give her face at all."

"Aiyah! That's so bad!"

"And you know what else? Her adopted sister, Song Yimu, is now engaged with the 5th prince!"

"What?! Why didn't I hear anything about that?!"

"Heck! You're the one who should know why! Everybody knows already!"

The other heaved a sigh of dismay. "So… do you really think the cause of death was suicide?"

"Tsk. That is a huge possibility."

Meanwhile, at the courtyard of the 5th prince in the palace, a servant came running inside.

"Greetings to the 5th prince!" The servant bowed deeply.

Ding Wu waved his hand, swinging his sleeves. "Speak."

"Your highness, The Young Miss of Song Clan, Song Jia is dead!" The servant revealed frantically, clueless to the smirk in Ding Wu's lips.

"I see. Since she was my former fiancee, prepare the funeral slips." He arrogantly ordered the servant.

Soon after the servant left to make preparations.

"You didn't tell me about this piece of news.." Ding Wu glanced at Song Yimu.

"It probably just happened just now. When I left the residence earlier, the doctor did say that she's about to die soon." Song Yimu sipped her tea, seemingly unbothered by the news of her sister's death.

"Tsk. Alright. Let's not talk about unrelated people. So, have you prepared everything to enter the academy?" He sat back down next to her.

Song Yimu giggled, acting demure in front of her new fiance, the 5th prince of Hou Kingdom, Ding Wu. "Yes, I've prepared everything, Your Highness."

"Oh? Calling me that way, aren't you being a stranger with your own fiance? Haha.." He teased her, lifting her chin so she could look at him.

"Big brother Wu.." She made her voice small, acting cute towards him, batting her eyelashes. Her lips smiled seductively at him.

"That's better.." Ding Wu said in a low voice, his face went closer to hers until their lips touched.

Song Yimu gasped, allowing Ding Wu's tongue to enter inside her mouth, teasing hers.

Clearly this was not Song Yimu's first time to do this with Ding Wu as she responded with her tongue as well, her hands snaking around his neck, pulling him closer to her.

If it wasn't because it was still broad daylight and they were at the pavilion in his courtyard, he would have more than just a sample of his fiancee.

Still, since having dismissed his servants earlier, there were only the two of them. Ding Wu was feeling adventurous. He was already 18 years old and there was no shortage of girls trying to get his attention. They would be satisfied if he could make them his concubines. As for Song Yimu, she was still 15 years old, the same age as Song Jia. Naturally, as a girl, they should save their chastity for the man they will marry or else it would bring disgrace to their whole clan.

However, for Song Yimu, as long as they don't do the final step, she was willing to do anything with Ding Wu. She purred as he pulled her from her seat and had her sit on his lap.

He continued to kiss her, his tongue tasted her neck, down to her clavicle then to the valley between her breasts. For a 15 years old, she already had a woman's body that could stir up his desire. He vowed that he would marry her before the year ends. But for now, he could continue tasting the product.

His hand went under her skirt, caressing her skin from leg to her thighs, making her shiver in pleasure. Ding Wu was the first boy that she has ever done this with. She was more than willing to submit to the 5th Prince who is also her fiancee. What harm is there to be intimate now if they will be husband and wife soon?

Just when Ding Wu lightly touched the middle of her thighs, making her moan, they heard footsteps going towards their direction. With regrets and annoyance, they had to stop. Ding Wu helped her back to her seat as she hurriedly fixed her appearance. She was still flushing red. Her hands trembled as she reached for the tea cup and took a sip, trying to calm herself down. Ding Wu on the other hand smirked in her direction, amused at her reaction.

The emperor's eunuch came in, subtly glanced at Song Yimu who was with the 5th Prince without a chaperone.

"Eunuch Long, what brought you to my courtyard?" Ding Wu's voice was steady and confident, emulating his Emperor father.

"Greetings, Your Highness. I'm here concerning General Song Qing's granddaughter, Young Miss Song Jia. We have just received news and confirmed that she has passed away."

Ding Wu couldn't even feign shock. He was only apathetic.

"It's the Emperor's wish that Your Highness pay respects to the General's family on his behalf."

Ding Wu's mouth twitched in annoyance but he didn't try to avoid the Emperor's request. After all, the General Song Qing held great prestige in their kingdom for protecting the citizens, and battling against enemy forces. Also, Song Yimu is from that clan, he still needs to give them face.
