18 Spencer's Mansion

Lu Ping was not too far off. There really was a change in her mistress's personality.

The Song Jia before was still naive and always had her head in the clouds after burying her nose in novels that didn't really enrich her cultivation. She was like the sun for those around her. She was cheerful and a happy child, if only she didn't believe in those fantasy written in the books which led her to start using veils. They think she's so silly for doing this, but they love her anyway.

Cynthia Dorsey was far from naive. She has faced death too many times. Instead of only novels, she read all kinds of books, especially those that will benefit her life and ensure her survival. She was cold and deadly. She was like the moon, hence her codename in Black Moon Organization, Luna. She would use her mind more than her heart. Even in the face of chaos, she could still keep calm and make sound decisions.

But after the two souls merged, her personality attained a balance. She could be cheerful to her loved ones and cold to her enemies.

After Lu Ping cleaned up, the two went down and back to the underground chambers.

"Miss, I'll draw you a bath." Lu Ping went inside Song Jia's room to prepare her clothes and bath water.

"No need. Didn't you wipe me earlier? Go ahead and clean up too.."

"Ah! Yeah! Alright then.. Please call me if you need anything.."

Song Jia nodded and waved her hand. Lu Ping went to her own room and washed up as well.

Alone in her room, Song Jia willed herself to enter the Spirit Artifact, excited to see the changes.

When she entered, she was shell-shocked at what she saw. The room that looked like an apartment unit before, became a house. What even shocked her was, it looked like the picture of the Spencer's mansion in the other world. She has no recollection of having lived there.

"Why? I don't remember staying in this house though.." Her heart beat madly.

"You don't, but I do. It was only for a brief period but I remembered." Little Crystal's voice sounded like a young lady, she didn't recognize her.

"Little Crystal?...er… Crystal?" She gasped when she saw the beautiful young lady in front of her, still wearing white robes.

"Yup! The merge changed my appearance too.. Look over there.. The land even stretched all the way to the mountains! And guess what.." She beamed at her.

"What?"

"The spiritual energy became a lot denser as well. Also, one day outside is equal to five days here!" Crystal even clapped her hands as she said it.

Song Jia's jaw hung open. She was dumbfounded.

Five days here is equal to one day outside!

"But wouldn't that be weird, I'll look older the moment I step out?"

"Uh-Uh.. It wouldn't make you age at all! Plus, the spiritual energy here is so dense, it will keep you refreshed!"

"I see.. That's good news then.. Haha.. what a hack!"

"A hack?"

"Um.. nothing… ahemmm.. So, what's inside the house?"

"Let's go look!" Crystal flew inside the house, followed by Song Jia.

What greeted her inside is the long winding staircase going up, an intricate looking chandelier hanging above their heads. From the looks of it, there were plenty of rooms inside, there should be more than one kitchen, bathrooms, living rooms, dining rooms and its own library. It is indeed a mansion of the rich.

"Come! Let me show you something!" Crystal flew and opened a door. It led to a staircase going down. Both went to see what's below.

Song Joa slapped her own face as soon as she saw it.

"A pool?! A freaking swimming pool?! What in the world?!!!" Song Jia couldn't believe what she was looking at. Even in her past life, she didn't have her own pool.

Not only that, on the side of the pool is a sauna. "Sauna?!!!!!!"

Blocked by glass windows and the door is a workout room.

"This is nuts!!!"

Now she is afraid that all of these are only a dream.

She kept pinching her arm and kept exclaiming in pain. "Ow!..Ow!..Oww!"

Crystal kept giggling every time she looked at Song Jia.

She then brought Song Jia to another room.

"Game room?! Does this mean that my family had all of these before?"

"Of course! They were wealthy!"

But more than anything, she was so surprised that she fell on her butt when Crystal brought her to a Chemical laboratory.

"Hold on!!.. Are you telling me they even have their own laboratory?!!"

"Yup! That's right!" Crystal beamed at her.

She felt a pang in her heart. If only she grew up with her family, perhaps she would have experienced being taught personally by them. But then again, she still ended up learning all of it, and more.

"There's also other rooms. The glass house is attached at the back, we can plant herbs there. There's the basement for all weapons and it even has an arena. Most of it is an exact copy, except it doesn't have internet, TV, radio, and computer. Also, whatever you get here, it will be replenished everyday."

"Eh??..Hmm.. I wonder.. Do you think they have those instant noodles?" She has been craving it, back then, that was her go-to meal.

Crystal threw her a blank look.

"What? If there's none, then just say it." Song Jia pouted.

Crystal sighed, her head bowed.

"It's not that we don't have it.."

"Kuh! You have it?!!"

"Yes. I'm just surprised you're looking for that of all things."

"What can I do? I'm hungry.. The food they cook outside needs more flavor!"

Crystal shook her head helplessly and showed her the instant noodles.

"Ayiee!! I want to cook it now.." She hopped happily towards it, took a pot from the kitchen cabinets and took a pot, filled it with water and waited for it to boil. Once the water started boiling, she tore the package, set aside the packets and dropped the uncooked noodles. Counted 3 minutes in her head then turned the heat off before pouring the spices packet. She stirred it and transferred it to a bowl.

"Oohhh! Hmmm.. Hlllllllpp! Yum!" She enjoyed it as soon as she started eating it, drinking the soup.
