6 Parting of family

Xeri couldn't find a gift for his older brother so he decided to go back to the village. "What's going on? Why is everyone awake now?" Xeri then tried to go back to his house.

As he entered, a worrying voice spoke, "Where were you Xeri, We were all worried when we couldn't find you!" Zhuri spoke as both Xion and Wuge nodded their heads in agreement. Zhuri went and gave a big hug to Xeri.

"Mom, i'm fine, I only went to look for a gift for big brother Wuge before he left." Xeri tried to defend himself. Wuge was surprised but then a loving look appeared on his face, "Xeri I don't need a gift, It's okay as long as you can see me off that'll be the best gift." "That's right Xeri, it's okay if you don't have a gift." Xion also told Xeri.

Zhuri then let go of Xeri, "We're glad you're safe." Xeri gave an awkward smile, then asked, " Oh right dad, why is everyone awake?" Xion gave a frightened looked and explained to Xeri. "Did you not hear that howl? It must've been a Beast King, all the villagers were all scared, some are even packing up and are going to leave."

"Oh ok I get it then." Xeri said.

The family then tried to calm down and go back to sleep.

The next day the village chief explained to everyone that everything will be ok. The villagers were all calmed down but were still slightly agitated. The village chief was very stressed.

"This chief has good skills to make everyone calm down with just a few sentences." Xeri smirked. He pondered what happened last night, especially that "howl".Wuge saw the look on Xeri and he asked, "Xeri, what're you thinking of?" "Oh nothing brother." Xeri replied. Wuge shrugged it off and paid attention to the chief again.

"The cause of the howl came from the mountain. As far as we know nothing can survive up on the mountains. I have sent people to inform the closest sect of a Beast King, they should be here in a few days." The chief assured everyone.

Xeri hearing this, his interest was peaked. "Dad, what's this "sect" the village chief is talking about?" "A sect is a place full or immortal cultivators, son maybe you can be apart of it one day hehe." Xion informed his son about what a sect was. Xeri's eye lit up upon hearing this and he resumed listening to the village chief.

"Let's not focus on this subject, we will have it taken care of very soon. I have another piece of news, one of our young men will be sent to the capital to become a scholar, we have Wuge Deam on his way to the Capital of Valor." With what the village chief said everyone looked at Wuge and started cheering him on.

"Thank you village chief, everyone, I will make sure to remember you all when I leave." Wuge then bowed down and expressed his thanks.

After everyone got settled down again Xeri and his family went back to their house to prepare for Wuge's departure. "Wuge dear, have you gotten everything." Zhuri asked. "Yes mother, i've gotten all the things I need." Wuge assured his mother. "Wuge be careful on the way to the capital I've heard that there were some dangerous beasts on the way there." Xion warned Wuge.

"Yes of course father. I will be safe on my travels." Wuge made sure his family doesn't worry. "Brother Wuge, I'm sorry I couldn't give you a gift but I want you to know I wish you the best on your travels." Xeri told Wuge. "Oh little Xeri, It doesn't matter if you give me a gift or not, I'm just glad that you're here to send me off."

With that Wuge gave each one of his family members a hug and gave his mother a kiss on the cheek. "I will definitely come back and visit, I hope when I come back I'll have a wife ready to met you mother and father." Wuge told his family before he strolled out of the house and soon out of the village.

Xeri looked at his brother's back as he departed. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY WUGE!!" Xeri yelled out. Wuge then raised his hand and waved back at Xeri as if to say thank you, see you later.

Zhuri was emotional while Xion had a proud look on his face.

The next day a few members from the nearby sect the "Flowing Waters Sect" arrived in the small village.

Xeri was shocked to see the people from the sect. They were all beautiful and handsome. They looked perfect wearing the same sky blue outfits.
