7 Danger (1)

As the cultivators arrived in the village they looked at the villager with disgust.

"Senior brother, these mortals are looking at us." a young girl around the age of 14 asked. "Ignore it, that's how they normally look at us." The older man explained to his junior sister. The junior sister looked around and took in the view of mortals. This was her first time outside of the sect.

Xeri was looking towards the new arrivals, he had counted five people, two girls , and three boys. He estimated that most of them were 13-14 while the oldest was 18. Xeri felt nothing from the younger people but the oldest gave him a sense of danger.

"Senior brother look at the boy, hiding behind the tree, he seems different than the other kids." One of the males informed the oldest. The oldest cultivator then looked towards where Xeri was. "He is only a child yet he has cultivation? We might've snagged something real good."

Xeri felt them look his way, He felt as if he was exposed every single thing on him was open for them to see. He quickly ran away and into his family's house.

The cultivators seeing him like that made them chuckle.

"May I ask who is the Village Chief?" One of them asked. A voice came from the crowd. "I'm right here sirs." "Ah great, now my juniors brothers and sisters have come from far lands to help your small village, may we request that you provide some shelter for us." Another one of the cultivators asked.

"Why of course. sirs and madams please this way." The village chief lead them to the best house which was obviously the village chief's house.

"That was dangerous, those guys can kill anyone of us easily." Xeri thought to himself. Xeri then tried to calm himself down and then he went out to try to pry information from the cultivators.

------

"Village chief, on our way here we saw a kid, had had black hair and a red mark on his forehead, may we inquire about him?" The leading cultivator spoke up.

"Oh yes you must mean Xeri, he is a rather, odd child, he never plays with the other kids and he always likes to sit underneath a tree." the village chief gave a rough outline of Xeri's daily routine.

"Hmmm, Interesting. Do you know if he has cultivation village chief?" He asked again.

"No he shouldn't, I should be the only one in the village with cultivation." The village chief assured.

"Well sorry to burst your bubble but that child Xeri, he has cultivation, and not any weaker than yours." Another cultivator commented. The village chief was shocked, " He is but a child of less than 10 years, how could he have cultivation?"

"Seems like you didn't know either. Hmm, we'd like to take him with us to let him experience our strength and eventually have him join our sect, is that fine with you?" The oldest commented.

"Why of course, of course you may!" The village chief excitedly answered.

"Great now you may leave us, We shall go up the mountain and slay this beast for you and your village tomorrow. " The cultivator stated with confidence. The village chief left and went to talk to Xeri's parents.

"Of course we would agree, Xeri has cultivation? how come we didn't know? Xion said. "Even I didn't know so he must of hidden it deeply or doesn't know about cultivation. Have you told him about it yet?" The village chief asked.

"No we were going to tell him when he was 10." Said Zhuri. "Well tomorrow have him follow the cultivators up the mountain. I will have them assure his safety. If we can have him join their sect we will rise up with him." The village chief said with glee.

-------

Xeri heard what the cultivators and the village chief were talking about. "So I have cultivation? Is that why I'm stronger than most of the people here? If i am to go with them tomorrow Let's hope nothing bad happens to me." Xeri then ran home in time to catch the village chief leaving his house.

-------

On the mountain, The piercing light has already faded away to reveal what was inside. A pole smashed into the ground. The pole seemed as if it was waiting for something. It soon gave of a bright red light that faded and yet remained.

On the pole you could see a silver line shining brightly as the red lights engulfed it. As the time pasted these two lights seemed to merge.

------

Xeri felt what seemed like his soul stirring again. "Hmm this feeling again, What is it?" He then slowly fell asleep waiting for the next day.

------

In the room full of jades, a beautiful figure sat, "There it is again, What is it? I feel it coming from the east? Is it Xeri? Maybe?" She then went back to meditating.
