Chapter 43- Hearing Problems

Earth POV:

"Rush and I are almost always here, so you are always invited to come visit us again!"

Right now, we are standing just outside the gates of Leas Town, Maya hugging me tightly. Although we didn't have a lot of time together, Maya and I bonded in the last two days Wu and I stayed here, after I already healed.

We both have controlling lovers to complain about to each other, after all.

She also gave me half a texting scroll, so we could talk even when far away from each other.

"Thanks! It was really fun to get to know you!"

As I hugged her back, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on the side of my waist, making me flinch.

"Seriously?!?!"

Looking at the source of my pain, Wu was standing behind me with an innocent look on his face, like he did not just pinch me hard enough for a blue bruise to show on my skin.

"WHY ARE YOU ALWAYS LIKE THIS?! WE ARE JUST FRIENDS!!!!"

As I was lashing at Wu loudly while rubbing the sore spot on my waist, a small groups of travelers who were existing through the town's gates, were drawn by the sound of my shouts and halted, observing the situation with curiosity in their eyes. Wu only laughed at me in response.

"You are shouting so much, the other people here probably think

a play is being performed."

Hearing his words I looked around, finally noticing the kind of attention I was attracting. Blushing in shame, I lowered my voice while glaring at Wu in anger.

"Idiot."

I hissed at him through my teeth, only making him chuckle.

"Maybe... But I am your idiot."

I waited until our small crowd dispersed before I kick him in the shin, making him grimace with pain. In all that time, Rush's and Maya's existence was completely forgotten by us.

"Aham-"

Rush coughed lightly, reminding us of hers and Maya's existence.

"We will go now. I wish you luck in your journey, and with the tryouts to the magical cooking academy."

As she said so, Maya and Rush turned and quickly entered through the gates of the town, waving us goodbye. I just stood there, blinking.

"That was fast..."

I mumbled quietly.

"..huh? You said something?"

Wu looked at me in question, his head slightly tilted to the side, creating a captivating image. I sighed, shaking my head.

"It's amazing how your hearing is sometimes really good, and other times, really bad."

I replied to him cynically.

"You know-"

Wu warped his hand around my shoulders while leaning so closely, his breath was tickling my ear, making it tingle.

"-we can test how well I hear when I'll make you moan tonight...."

He blew hot air into my ear as he spoke, sending shivers down my spine and making me blush.

"SHUT UP! IDIOT!"

I slapped his hand off my shoulders and walked away angrily.

"Is that a yes?"

He followed after me, a sly grin on his face.

"How is that a yes?!"

I turned around, looking at him like he was the dumbest person I ever met. In turn, he put on an insulted expression, slightly pouting with his perfect thin lips.

"I thought you said you love me... Was that a lie?"

At his words, my face instantly turned bright red, recalling my embarrassing actions and words.

"It wasn't..."

I answered him shyly, in a quiet voice, although I knew he was only putting on an act, and I could clearly see his green eyes shine mischievously as he spoke.

"Then does that mean you think the sex we had was bad, so you don't want to do it anymore?"

"..."

My face grew a few degrees hotter once again.

"I guess it was really bad then..."

Wu looked at the ground, his whole demeanor screaming disappointment.

You should be an actor, not a village chief!

Even his long ears were lowered, creating an image of a sad puppy and making my heart squeeze in pity.

"It wasn't bad..."

I said those words very quietly, barely whispering them, but Wu's ears perked up happily as he looked up at me with seen hope.

"It wasn't bad?"

I immediately turned away from him, seeing how his eyes sparkled dangerously, and practically power walked down the road leading to our next destination, Gama Capital City, where the tryouts to the cooking academy are held.

"You know what? I was wrong, your hearing is just perfect!"
