1 Chapter 1- Arriving to a new world
I, Earth Orwin, opened my eyes to an unfamiliar sky.
At first glance I almost mistook it to the ones at planet Earth, but the moon was a lot bigger and colored in the strongest golden color I have ever seen, looking like a big piece of raw gold.
Where am I? And... how did I get here?
pushing myself up to a sitting position, I got a huge headache.
Owww! my head!....
... last thing I remember is trying to pass the road and that truck coming out of nowhere....
frozen by the truth that hit me, I realized...
I was hit by a truck!
"Am I dead?!"
No! I can't be dead!
...or... can I?
"Am I in heaven? This can't be true. Right! I must be dreaming! This must be one of those lucid dreams I heard about!"
....I hope....
But another wave of pain in my head made me lose hope in that theory.
In order to calm myself down I began looking around at my surrounding environment. It was a big field of grass with some trees and bushes. If not for the weird moon, I really could have mistaken this place for planet Earth.
Next, I examined myself.
If I was really just hit by a truck, there might be some damage to my body. But after checking all over my body, except for the headache, nothing seems to be broken or out of place.
Am I really dead?
If I was hit by a truck I'm supposed to be injured! Did I recover because I'm in heaven?
Suddenly, a dim light was shining from the middle of my palm. Perplexed I tried to touch the light, and a huge light suddenly emerged from it.
"Earth Orwin"
a calm voice was heard from the light.
"What? Who is this?".
"I am the essence of everything in this world, and the one that manages it. For now, you can call me [Admin]".
"Admin? Like in video games? How come I can't see you?".
"This [video games] you're speaking of are not known to me. And you cannot see me as I am the god of this world. You must have a lot of questions about what is going on and where you are".
"Of course I do!!! What is this place?! Am I dead?! If I'm dead is there a way to go back to life?!".
"All answers will be answered. You are in a parallel universe to yours, on a planet called [Trey]. In truth, your death was an unfortunate accident by one of my subordinates, as they messed up while ascending to your earth, and making that truck lose control as a result. You were not supposed to die yet. But unfortunately, once you die you cannot return back to life in your current form, and will have to be reborned in order to be at the same planet you came from. So instead, I decided to reincarnate you to this parallel world with your body just as it was before the accident".
"What the....?! are you telling me that I died because of YOU?! And then, YOU decided, ON YOUR OWN, to reincarnate me to another world?! Did you think I'll forgive you that easily?!" I screamed.
"Now, now, please calm down. I get your anger and frustration toward this situation, but let me tell you something that might change your mind".
he tried to calm me down.
"What is it?" I got a little curious.
"Let me tell you, in this universe, magic and abilities exists. The people of Trey are naturally born with an aptitude to one to four elements of magic, from the elements of light, dark, water, fire, earth, wind, healing and non-elemental. During their lives they acquire the things called [Abilities]. Abilities includes things like [Swordsmanship] and [Magic mastery] and so more unique ones, based on their experiences, the more you use an ability, the more it will level up, becoming stronger, and even evolving to a new, stronger type. Each person is born as a level 1, with basic stats of [Magic Power], [Stamina], [Attack], [Defense], [Agility] and more. In order to become stronger, the Treyzarians, (this is the name of the people of this world) fight monsters, which give them [experience points] when defeated. The experience points add up until you have enough of them and can level up, which improves your basic stats. In order to check your stats, abilities and magic affinity, please think about the words [status window]".
That really does sound like a game world from the [Admin] explanation. For now, I'll do what he says. As I think of the words [Status Window] a screen pops out in front of my eyes.
As I try to touch it, my hand goes straight through the screen and I cannot feel making any contact with it. It seems this screen is only in my head, so others probably can't see it.
Next, I look at the content of the screen:
Name: Earth Orwin.
Level: 1.
Age: 18.
Race: Human (?).
Sex: Male.
So I'm level 1 huh? But so far it looks good, but what's with the "(?)" next to the race? I'll try asking the [Admin].
"Hey! Admin! What's with the question mark next to my race?".
"Let's see.... I think it's probably because you are from another world?".
"You're not sure?" I asked confused.
"Not really, this has never happened to me before that a human from another world came here. Maybe that means you can be perceived as any race you choose, or a whole new kind of human? I can't really tell you".
I decided to accept this unsatisfying answer for now, and decided to keep checking my [Status Window]:
Magic Power: 5,000.
Attack: 100.
Defense: 75.
Agility: 69.
Stamina: 70.
Magic Attack: 4,050.
Magic Defense: 3,000.
Luck: 60.
"oh! There's even luck here!".
As I never seen another person stats before I am not sure if mine are good but.... Isn't my [Magic Power] a little too high for a level 1? The Magic attack and defense are crazy high too....
"Have you finished going over your [status window] already? As I started saying before...ahm...I feel very guilty about your death..."
the Admin continued.
"and you should..." I think to myself.
"In order to make it up to you for the grave mistake (pun not intended) my subordinate did, I will now give you a few abilities:"
oh, that's quite nice of him.
"First, in order to overcome the barrier of the new language, I am giving you the ability to read, write and speak the languages of this planet."
that's actually very helpful!
it could have been very frustrating if I was not able to communicate with the residents of this world.
"Moreover," he continues,
"In order to help you understand how this world work better, I now give you the ability [eyes of god]. These eyes will give you the ability to read info, like levels, quality, abilities and such, of everything you choose to learn about, I myself find them very helpful. The Treyzarians actually got a similar thing for inspecting goods like gold, weapons and such, but only to a very limited inspection, nothing of this level".
This God must feel really guilty, for him to give me such a helpful ability!
"Last of all..."
He paused, thinking for a moment, before continuing.
"I give you the ability to use all the elements of magic, and, the ability to create your own magic spells, as long as you have a clear image of them in your mind. This means you are not limited to the magic of this world and can create something you are comfortable with and which is truly unique!"
This God is awesome!
I truly changed my opinion about you Admin!
"For now that's all I can do to help you".
No, no, no! that's way more than enough!!!
He practically made me a cheat character....
"I hope you will learn to love this new world and enjoy the gifts I have given you."
He said so with a seemingly satisfied voice.
"I really got to go now, so.....Anyway.. good luck with your new life here and please try to not die to soon".
The moment [Admin] finished speaking, there was a strong flash of light and his presence disappeared with it.
....wait....?
what did he meant by telling me to "not die to soon"?!
Is this world actually very dangerous?!
He did say that there are monsters here.....
But as he is already gone, I have no one to ask any more, and my only option is to let it go for now.
(AN: how many of you just remembered the song "Let it go" from frozen?).
I have no food or water, and the only thing I do have, are the clothes to my body.
I have to find a town soon or I'll be in trouble.
Getting up on to my feet, and brushing down the grass off my brown pants and red hoodie, I once again scanned my environment.
As the huge golden moon started disappearing on one end of the horizon, and on the other end of it, the sun was starting to show, I began walking towards the rising sun in search of a town.
(look out!!! It's a truck!!!! Lol...JK.)
