18 Truth or dare

Everyone were at the balcony few sitting on chairs and few standing by them. The sky was clear filled with stars and half moon, Kruthika was looking at those stars. Her small frontal hairs were disturbing her eyes due to breeze, she tucked them behind her ears but they were stubborn, they didn't obey her.

Abhikshith was smiling to himself seeing Kruthika.

"Since we are even now, can we play game?", asked Anirudh.

"Yeah but which game?", asked Sachin.

"Can we divide ourselves into teams and play something fun", said Sudeep

"I think teams are always cold it might disturb happiness we can play individually, I mean like truth or dare", said Hemanth.

Hemanth speaks very occasionally only to inform about something, but never said his opinions with others. Everyone were in shock as he was saying his opinion.

"Okay as you say Hemanth", said Kruthika with a bit of shock.

"If the open end of this bottle points a person then he should choose between truth and dare. Okay", said Sachin as he took a bottle.

Everyone sat on the floor, in circle in the order of Sachin, Sudeep, Abhikshith, Hemanth, Anirudh and Kruthika. Sachin twisted the bottle, it stopped pointing at Hemanth.

"Whao! Hemanth, what do you wanna choose? Truth or dare", asked Anirudh.

"I want to choose... Dare", said Hemanth.

"What dare can we give him?", everyone discussed among themselves.

"Okay. Wait I've one", said Kruthika,"You should prepare breakfast tomorrow"

"Hey it's not a dare for him. It's like a dare for us!", said Sudeep.

"At least you should help me tomorrow okay!", said Kruthika.

"Okay. It's fine", said Hemanth and Sudeep.

"Here goes another round", said Hemanth as he twisted the bottle, it pointed at Abhikshith.

"So what do you want to choose, Abhi?", asked Kruthika.

"I always say truth and media guys ask me different sort of truth questions. So dare", said Abhikshith.

Everyone thought hard as of which task should they give him.

"You are an actor right! Imagine there's someone and fight with him just like you fight in movies", said Sachin.

Abhikshith got up. He kicked, punched and hitted air as hard as he could and fell on the ground as if someone punched him, after good act everyone clapped for his performance.

Abhikshith twisted the bottle and it pointed at Kruthika.

"Which do you choose Kruthika? Truth or dare", asked Anirudh add of her got an opportunity again to tease her.

"I choose truth", said Kruthika.

"How many proposals did you get?", asked Abhikshith.

"I got seven proposals", said Kruthika.

"Only seven. What about those co-passengers and pilots who always try to flirt with you?", asked Anirudh.

"The question was 'how many proposals I got?', not 'how many tried to flirt with me?'", answered Kruthika.

"Okay. Now answer my question", said Anirudh.

"Only one question at a time. You know the rules right!", said Kruthika as she twisted the bottle. It pointed to Anirudh, she said "Wow!".

"I choose dare", he said before anyone could ask him what would he chose.

"What can we give him?", asked Sachin.

"There's a girl in office, he always wanted to ask her out but he's too afraid to ask. We can use this opportunity", said Sudeep.

"Okay go ahead", said Sachin.

"Ask Monica for a date with you", said Sudeep.

"You! Shit. I should never have said Truth", said Anirudh as he took his phone and messaged her.

Everyone saw if he completed his dare or not. Later he twisted the bottle and pointed at Sachin, he chosed truth.Abhikshith asked him about his biggest failure.

"I don't have a stable job in the field I like. I like photography, but I'm doing some Blog to earn some money. I can't send my money to my parents because all the money I earn will be spent here for my needs. I hate being like this", said Sachin who was controlling his tears. Kruthika rubbed his shoulders and Sachin was holding his hands.

It changed the atmosphere, everyone who were in fun mood, they became sad.

"I'm sorry. I thought your answer would be something about love.. I never thought it would be something sad", said Abhikshith.

"It's okay. After all I'm still a biggest failure though", said Sachin.

"No. You are not, you are doing something you like even it's hard. It shows that you never give up. It you didn't try, then yes even I would have agreed with you. But you are so amazing don't be like this", said Kruthika.

"Yes dude. You are positive about it. Infact I have loads to learn from you", said Sudeep, Anirudh and Hemanth nodded.

"I need to go to bed. It's too late already. Good night everyone", said Sachin and went down.

Everyone went down to their room not discussing anything again. They understood that he needed privacy, they left him alone.

"I didn't ask to hurt him", said Abhikshith to Kruthika since they were only two left near balcony.

"Sometimes words from our mouth come out without thinking. It happens to everyone, unknowingly they end up hurting others", said Kruthika.

" I've been here from past seven months, I never saw him like I saw him today. Sometimes he shared his insecurities with me, I didn't knew how to console him. So I just listened to him"

"You thought that this home is intresting right. One girl sharing house with four men. Everyone here has some compromises and show respect to one another. I can't find a place to live like this any where in this Earth. When I'm here I never miss my family much", said Kruthika, "Okay good night".

Abhikshith felt guilty for ruining the night.
