14 Arrival of new roommate

"So.. When did you meet agent?", asked Kruthika.

"On 2nd May", replied Sudeep while he was tying his shoe lace.

Kruthika went to kitchen.

"Is anyone willing to take lunch box?", asked Kruthika.

"Yeah. Me", said Hemanth.

"Me too", said Sachin.

"And also for both of us", replied Anirudh.

"Okay. Your boxes are here in kitchen. Collect them", said Kruthika.

Everyone collected their boxes and left for their work. Kruthika thought how foolish they were or were they acting foolish! She didn't knew, she had to wait for that person to appear. She belived them, but she didn't expect this sort of foolishness from them.

How could they not even think about it? she repeated the question to herself but there was no answer for it. Finally she gave up to think about it and went to bed but wasted her time thinking about it.

She tried hard to get sleep, but it was impossible when you have a question that eats peace of your mind. She meditated for few minutes to free her mind from the question and finally she got some sleep.

She was having a peaceful sleep until a her door bell rang. She woke up wondering who it might be and remembered about new roommate. She opened the door while rubbing her eyes, she was wearing night suit at day, and her hairs were untied.

There stood a man who was tall and handsome with his luggage, it was Abhikshith Bhargav, Kruthika chuckled and closed the door thinking it must be her dream. She thought that she might have accidently traveled with him and was a bit arrogant to him, may be imagining him as her new roomie.

The door bell rang again, she again opened the door and saw Abhikshith again with his luggage. She pinched his shoulder just to confirm if it was dream or not.

"Ouch!!!!", said Abhikshith in pain.

"Oh this real then, Sir I guess you are on wrong address. Please cross check the address", said Kruthika who was still in mood sleepy.

"No the address is correct. I thought my agent all settled this, I'm new roommate"said Abhikshith, "Won't you welcome me to the house".

"Oh so it was you our new roomie", said Kruthika as she widened the door and walked inside.

"Yep. Why, you didn't know? I thought agent cleared it all about rent and bills", said Abhikshith who entered the house and was observing it.

"Yeah your agent only informed us about rent and bills not about your identity. None of us knew who was new roommate", said Kruthika as she sat on the sofa.

"I would like to have a look at the house, will you show me?", asked Abhikshith.

"Sure sir. But please leave your footwear near door. You can use footwear only at bathroom", said Kruthika as she walked through the house she said,"This is drawing room, you not supposed to leave your stuff here, there's a television but it is not connected to any DTH, you can only mirror your mobile to it. Newspapers and magazines are kept at lower shelf of this table."

"This is kitchen, if you wanna leave a message for anyone you can leave it on fridge with a sticky note. Plates and glasses are in first drawer, utensils for cooking in second and ingredients for cooking at third and those above shelves. Dairy products and juices will be in fridge. No alcohol is permitted. You have to wash your plates and glasses after eating your food. There's an RO you can use drinking water from it".

"There are two bedrooms in ground floor and two in first floor. Bedrooms in ground floor is occupied by Anirudh and Sudeep, Sachin and Hemanth. Anirudh and Sudeep's bedroom is a master bedroom, Sachin and Hemanth user the common bathroom."

"Upstairs there's one master bedroom where I'm staying and there's another bedroom for you, you can use common bathroom with Sachin and Hemanth. And there's a big spacious balcony where all have some conversation. Another rule is that guys should not enter my room and do I"

"Any doubts Sir?", asked Kruthika when she was done explaining about home.

"Nothing. Everything is so clean", said Abhikshith looking at the house.

"Thank you sir. We expect the same cleanliness from you too", said Kruthika,"If you are done with this I'm going to bed".

"I'm hungry is there anything to eat", asked Abhikshith with a of bit hesitation.

"Feel free about food here sir. I've prepared puri and potato curry. Puri is in the hot box on dining table and you can reheat the curry in microwave which is in fridge", said Kruthika as she came down the stairs.

"Oh! Great", he went to kitchen reheated the curry, took a plate from the first cupboard served himself and came to drawing room. Kruthika was sleeping on the sofa covering in blanket, he pulled a chair from the dining table and sat beside her.

Kruthika was trying to get some sleep but failed. She looked at the time, it was 1:30 pm, she had only two and half hours to return to her daily chores.

"Trouble in getting some sleep!", asked Abhikshith, as he finished his lunch.

"If I get disturbed in between my sleep it's hard for me to sleep again", said Kruthika, as she woke up and sat on sofa.

"So may I know your name at least now?", asked Abhikshith with a charming smile on his face.

"Oh! Kruthika I thought your agent might have said you, Sir", said Kruthika in a time of sarcasm.

"No he didn't. Kruthika is such a nice name", said Abhikshith.

"Is it, Sir? I don't like it much, I wanted to named something more fancy than Kruthika"

"Kruthika, please don't call me SIR. I feel like I'm a teacher"

"Then what should I call you?"

"Abhikshith is fine"

"You are much more older than me I think I shouldn't address you with your name"

"Why? Anirudh, Sudeep, Sachin and Hemanth, they are aslo older than you, but you call them by their name. Why not me then?"

"Anirudh is my classmate. Sudeep is also of same age. I agree that Sachin and Hemanth are older, but they asked me to treat them as friends in our first meeting itself"

"Even I'm asking the same from you. Treat me as your friend and call me by my name"

"Are you sure about? After calling you by your name I can't suddenly change habit after a while"

"I'm sure. There's no need to change your habit of calling me"

"Abhikshith such a big and complicated name. I'll call you Abhi as short. Is that okay to you?"

"I'm fine with it"
