1 The Faucet

A girl laid on the bed ever so still listening to the sound of water dripping. It was long past midnight but she still could not get any sleep. Trying every method, she even opened her window to get some fresh air.

However, it was all effortless as the sound of dripping became more and more obnoxious as time ticked by. The girl couldn't take it anymore and let out a frustrated sigh.

Maybe it was out of anger or simple curiosity that she got out of bed to check out where the noise was coming from.

The wood floor creaked as the girl walked towards the bathroom only to find herself falling flat on her face. She had tripped over something wet but it was perhaps the water bottle that she had left open on the ground.

She wiped her hands on the nightgown she wore to sleep and walked in. The moment she opened the door the dripping sound seemed to have stopped.

Confused, the girl touched the faucet and it was completely dry. She did not know what to

think of it and only thought that she was paranoid from her sleep deprivation.

She patted her face and looked into the mirror and saw dark lines smeared all over her dress.

That's odd, she thought and looked down to have a better look. Peering at it closely, she noticed that whatever was on her dress

smelled horrible.

Thinking to change out of it, she walked out the bathroom and closed the door, but something stopped it from shutting.

Something wet, something warm?

Petrified, red filled her entire vision and to her horror she couldn't scream.

She was long gone before she could even open her mouth.
