68 Purification Absorption - [ Chapter - 68 ]

Ho-Seok finally remembered where he heard the name of Bean, so he was curious to see if the bean that Olivia knew was the same Bean, so he decided to look at his stats and description again with his true sight ability once more since he only checked their stats before but now he was curious.

As he looked at him, nothing out of the ordinary was in his stats, abilities or skills, but within his description, there was an extra part towards it and it said, "Extraordinary Trait: Divine Veins" and his true sight ability was actually able to look further into the trait's description and as well as it's effects.

Once he did this, he saw that the trait was like a passive ability, although it was a lot more broken than he originally thought, since everyone in his first life thought that Bean had an ability to allow multiple blessings upon him and it would cause he no problems at all which was already considered broken before.

The exact reason why this was broken was that an awakener at most could be blessed by three Gods, before they burst due to the massive amounts of Divine energy, even high rankers were stuck at this limit with seemingly no way to increase this but Bean however was able to surpass it to an infinite amount.

This was unknown to many, but the real way that blessings work was that the Gods give a percentage amount of divine energy that the human body can withstand, and from each God has their own unique energy that strengthens the person who was blessed depending on the nature of their energy either from their title or legend.

But what Bean's trait does is completely sap the God's energy and turn it into his own while the Gods and Goddesses who bless him don't even realize that it's being leeched away, which means even a singular blessing for him was a whole lot stronger than a normal person with three blessings with high ranked Gods.

Due to the fact he was no longer just borrowing power, it was more like he himself became a God, Ho-Seok wasn't even sure how did the God's in his first life not notice this since even if they did it on purpose for Bean to stop the corrupted God, they couldn't retract their blessings like normal.

Since once Bean's veins got a hold of the Divine energy he would be stuck their sucking away their divine energy, so he was thinking he might have learned of a way to hide this using another God's energy cause he should be able to use a God's authority, although weaker since he had a human body.

He had the veins fit for a God, so he should be able to use like a diluted version of any authority of a God or Goddess who blessed him, and if a God or Goddess that had an authority of illusion or hiding or even both blessed him, that would already make him capable enough to fool even Gods.

However as of right now, he was still weak without even a single blessing, so Ho-Seok was pretty curious to see his strength up close since he was deemed as a high ranker because of the amount of authorities he could use thanks to the large amounts of Gods and Goddesses that continued blessing him.

So Ho-Seok really wanted to see his powers in action but he knew now if his veins gets a direct flow of divine energy, it would be sapped away, and his divine energy was no where near the amount of a God's so it was extremely dangerous to test it out since there were a lot of things that could go wrong.

Although, he could definitely use Bean to defeat the corrupted God since his veins have been able to render some lower ranked Gods completely immobilized for a while when they just blessed him but what if the God was just right in front of him, this was definitely something that Ho-Seok was curious about.

Plus, it would also help Bean grow stronger, a lot stronger than just any normal blessing, since it was just going to be him consuming an entire God, and so he then headed back to their location and already knew the general location of where the corrupted God was supposed to be since it was turned into a tourist spot in his first life.

After he arrived he then said, "Okay, you three follow me, Zurich, continue to watch over them so none of them get hurt.", he said as he then flew again and started guiding them through the air as he was looking around for a while until he finally saw a huge vein in the ground near some mountains.

The place around vein was covered with some vine like objects that were a creepy looking black as it glowed a bit as well, Ho-Seok then said, "Bean, can you please touch the black stuff with your bare hands, it'll help you a lot, but it's okay if you don't, it'll help you a whole lot if you do though.".

As he said this, Bean was confused since he hadn't said a thing before and until now however he was talking as if he knew exactly what his abilities are so this made all of them already suspicious of him but decided to trust him for now since if he wanted to, he could easily finish all of them off.

Now, as he went closer to the the corrupted vines, his arms then started to glow a golden color, as he saw this he was surprised but then suddenly the vines started to break down as a golden light then started to seep into him and as this happened he was looking at a system notification.

It showed the same divine stat as Ho-Seok's however, he wasn't able to increase it like him but it was slowly increasing by 0.1 every second he was absorbing the golden light from the now decaying corrupted veins, the name beside the stat though was "Baldr" which was a pretty high ranked God.

But as Ho-Seok looked through Bean's stats and descriptions, Baldr being the corrupted God was a bit confusing as, he was supposed to be the God of Light, Courage and Wisdom so he was now wondering how did such a God become corrupted even after death, especially with his title of Light.
