2 Changes in the Status

"Uh hello?" I try talking to the small green creature. Apparently my voice startles him so he quickly hides behind some trash bins. Peeking out the creature looks left then right "Mako safe." it then looks at me with it's large eyes "Oh person awake. Ah" The creature scrambles over. "Mako find. So much blood you had mhm mhm" The creature nods "Oh but Mako save yes. Mako save human!"

'This thing can't seem to form full sentences can it... Wait. Short stature, green skin, speaks like a child. Holy crap it's a goblin!' "Excuse me um Mako? Are you a goblin" Make nods his head vigorously "yep yep Mako goblin. Make save human. Experiment worked it did!" 'Wait did he just say experiment?!' "Cough uh Mako did you use some untested potion on me as an experiment?"

"Yes. It work save human! Mako genius of goblin tribe" Well I can't really discriminate as he or she did save my life. Goblins though aren't well liked as a species. Mainly due to the fact that only 10% of the species has actual intelligence. Most of their race are feral monsters who attack and pillage the other races. The only reason the 10% Aren't shunned is because goblins are the best potion makers.

((A/N: When potions are mentioned here it can mean a lot of things. Potion is basically a term for any chemical mixture in a bottle be it medicine, poison, or even explosives. So don't be thinking of health and mana potions whenever it is mentioned.

I shake my head and look down at my chest. It is caked with blood but all my wounds have been healed leaving only barely visible scars. In fact even my body looks a bit more masculine. "Mako what kind of potion did you use on me?" Mako began to fiddle with it's fingers "Uh... Mako not sure?" My eyes go wide "You mean to tell me you used a potion that you didn't know the effects of?!" Mako lowered it's head like a child being reprimanded

I sigh "Mako... Thanks for saving me" The goblin immediately perks up and began to hope up and down. While it is distracted I close my eyes and I give the command STATUS. here is what I saw

'WHAT THE HELL!' All my stats Skyrocketed! Wait my stigma changed but that is impossible! And what is up with this blessing?! Double results is like a cheat all on it's own! 'Whew calm down Drake, Calm down. Alright. That being you talked to in your dreams definitely wasn't why your stats skyrocketed, at least not all of them.

I'm so used to seeing such low stats. Other than my Intelligence and Ether everything else was below normal. A 12 year old would at least have 10 in all stats and a 25 in Ether. This was also another reason I was able to be bullied so easily. Luck didn't seem to change at all. Well Luck has always been a mystery to humans. Sometimes it has a number next to it for some humans but most of the time it is just question marks.

Looking at the blessing and looking at my stigma it seems that the blessing upgraded my stigma. I guess shadow is just a lower tier of darkness, makes sense. It also makes sense that with the blessing and stigma upgrade my Ether stat rose so much. As for the others there is only one conceivable possibility. Mako's potion.

D*mnit that Erebus person know that Mako would come along! No wonder he kept things so vague. "Uh Mako" I say opening my eyes "Do you remember anything about that potion?" Mako shakes it's head "Mako forget. Mako dream of potion. Make person stronger. Mako succeed?" It asked curiously I chuckle at the childishness of this goblin "Yes Mako succeed" I say giving the goblin a head pat like I used to do with my sister.

Mako giggles "Mako like head touch. Touch more human" I chuckle giving it more pats "My name isn't human it is Drake. Mako, forgive me if this is rude but are you male or female?" Mako looks at me as if I was stupid "Drake stupid" Nope it really thinks I'm an idiot. Somehow that did critical damage worse than the stabs I got "Mako obvious female" It's obvious?!

"Cough cough you saved me so how about I treat you to some food at my house" On the mention of food I heard the small goblins tummy grumble "Yes. Mako want food!" I chuckle and get off the ground. "Mako want human carry!" She reached her arms out to me 'Really acts just like a child.' I grab her and carry her to my apartment on my shoulders.

At my apartment Saber comes and greets me as usual. He can't make any noise or anything since he is but a shadow still it is comforting to watch him come to the door excitedly whenever I come back. I set mako down. She immediately goes and studies Saber. She seemed very interested in Saber and Saber seemed to have interest in her since they were running around playing tag in the living room.

I can only shake my head and make us something to eat. I am quite disappointed when I open the fridge though as it is almost empty. All I see that can be made into a meal is lunch meat and cheese. 'Guess we are having sandwiches'. As I am making them I began to think about my new stigma. I activate it but the only difference in my markings is that the 'Flames' look more realistic as they flicker on my chest.

'When it was just Shadow Puppet it allowed me to control shadows like a marionette. Darkness Manipulation seems to be a higher tier of shadow so maybe...' I began to have some crazy thoughts. I will test them out soon. "Oui Mako I made us some sandwiches!' Despite it being such a simple meal Mako was looking at the sandwich as if it was the most delicious looking thing she ever seen.

"Mako" I say as she noms the sandwich to try and get her attention "I need you to promise me you won't tell anyone about that potion you gave me" Mako looks up curious "Why Mako can't tell?" I sigh "If people knew what that potion could do they would want it and they wouldn't take no for an answer. Despite you not remembering how to make it they would probably try and force you to do it" Mako shudders "Drake not do that?" I pause "Of course not!" I was completely sincere. There is no way in hell I would force Mako to do anything. That would make me no better than those b*st*rds that drove me to death.

Saber comes up and sits on the couch, or sits as best as it can since it is just a 2D image. "I wonder" I activate my stigma and focus Ether into my hands grabbing Saber I can feel some kind of connection. I tug... Nothing happened. I tug again a little harder... again nothing happened. I tug with all my strength and I hear a ripping sound as I fall off the couch.

On my chest now was a dog, completely black and wispy as if made of smoke, with glowing purple eyes "H-holy s***! It worked!" I reach out and I pet saber who leans into my touch "Oooh Drake! How you do that!" Mako asked "I am not really sure Mako" I smile petting Saber "It's nice to finally be able to pet you Saber, my only friend these last few years."

Ether began to drain from my hand rapidly as if being sucked in by saber. I can't take my hand back. Saber began to glow then once almost all my ether is drained I hear a shatter like noise. Saber on me is now bigger along with some other changes. Two long fangs are jutting from his muzzle, He has a jagged horn on his head, and his tail looks like a scimitar. I feel some change in my vessel so I immediately check my status
