1 Chapter 1: System Activated
Before this story starts I just want to say that I do not own Steven Universe or the characters in this story.Also this story is mostly for fun and I also thought it would be a cool Idea to make a story about this.

(Steven's P.O.V)
I was having a good dream about me the gems, my dad and even the women who was my mom having fun.I honestly only knew how she looked because of a photo of her on the wall, but I heard a few things about her from the gems and my dad.From what I was told she was a beautiful women who cared for everyone and didn't hesitate to help others.I wanted to be like her, to help others who need it, to stand tall and be brave.I wanted to be like her but deep down I knew I could never meet up to her legacy.I tried to activate my powers early to help the gems on missions but I can never do it, no matter how hard I try or how much effort I put into it.I wondered if the gem in my stomach was just defective.
As I opened my eyes I saw a weird screen in front of me.It was a rose pink like the color of my gem with white writing inscribed into it.This weird screen read.
{Hello player, the System has been activated}
I was confused on what was this system was and was on the verge of freaking out.I quickly got up and looked around.I then ran down the few stairs I had and looked around some more.Soon in my sight was a strange crystal place with a bigger circular crystal in the middle.I knew what this was as it was the warp pad that teleported the gems out to missions.I called out to see if anyone was home.
[Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst!]
I called the gems, I needed help to know what this screen was and if anyone could tell me it was them, there was no reply so I knew that meant they were out on a mission.I decided to check out what this was myself.As soon as I thought that a new message was inscribed into the screen.
{The player must be confused on what is happening, so I will explain}The message stated.I payed close attention to what was being written.
{This is a gamer system, which is used to make the player stronger.The system can help the user create skills and use abilities to their fullest potential}
{The system is also used for many other things and he may functions.To help learn more a quest will be activated}
Steven didn't know what this quest would be but prepared himself mentally for it, he was suddenly disturbed by a dinging noise.

Steven looked at these stats and nodded.They weren't strong and were at human level, the system then continued.
{The shop is a place where the user can use currency gained to purchase items, weapons, armor and skills}
{Currency can be gained through missions or other means in the real world, to see the shop user just has to mentally say shop inside their head}
Steven just nodded again, he wasn't going to check out the shop yet because currently he had no money to buy anything, but he'd look at it later on.

{Gamers mind(Max):Allows a peaceful state of mind and keeps the user calm at all times, user also is given immunity to mental disorders}
Steven read over the skills and was surprised to see how good they were, but he wasn't done with the tutorial yet.
{The inventory is a place that can hold an infinite amount of items, living things can not be placed inside of the inventory.To access the inventory think inventory inside your head}
*Inventory*Thought Steven.As soon as he thought that another pink screen popped up and showed many slots.Steven wanted to test something and went into the kitchen and grabbed a glass.He then moved that glass towards the so called inventory and it suddenly went inside.The glass was then showed in one of the slots.Steven then took out the glass and placed it back where he got it.The system then continued.
{The map function of the system allows you to know your location our the locations of where you want to go.The user can place markers on the map like a GPS and get directions on where to go.To get the map say map in your head}
*Map*thought Steven.A map then came in front of Steven.The map showed all of Delmarva, the place where Steven currently was.He tried to scroll through the rest of the map but most places were blocked.
{The user must first explore these places for them to be unlocked, even if the user just passes through these places the map will automatically update to show that you've been in those areas}
Steven thought that this was a good ability, it meant that he could never get lost which was good to have in some situations.Steven then saw a notification.

Steven wanted to know what this observe skill was so he though about the skill and it came up.

Steven would use this new skill as soon as the gems got back to see how much stronger they were from him.He knew it would be by a huge margin but he wanted to test out this skill and see how strong he'd have to get to be stronger then the gems.After that a new quest popped up.

Steven saw what he had to do and was about already doubting if he could do it, the amount he had to do looked like it was too much but he knew he had to do it.He couldn't just sit around and expect to get stronger, if he wanted to her stronger he had to train.He pushed his doubt away and went outside to the Sandy beach to begin his exercise.The sand would help even more with his run and he didn't want to sweat all in the house.He could already tell this was going to be hard, but he wouldn't give up no matter what.His time to get stronger was now, his new story started now!
