Des's heart nearly stopped as he reached out to grab the child back, but the opponent was too fast and managed to snatch Van away!
Des was shocked and tried to catch the child, but he missed, and half of Van's body was hanging out of the window!
Fortunately, Gill, along with a young man beside him, reacted quickly and pulled Des back inside.
After all, this place was over ten meters high, and Des, being older, would have suffered greatly if he had fallen!
In the blink of an eye, a one-meter-tall red-tailed mermaid was lifted into the air and presented to the imposter.
