2 V1 Chapter 1: Trap

Ring…! Ring….! Ring..!

A call from my calling stone suddenly sounded. As I hold it I turned into color black.

Wait black? This means it is from an unknown source. So the person calling me never held my stone before is a stranger but why can he or she able to call me?

I was not sure about accepting it; it might be some unnecessary stuff, some prank or just some threats from no one.

But why and who is the one calling me? For what reason? But the person was able to call me then why?

My doubts were suddenly gone and it turned into curiosity.

I pressed my stone and a voice came out.

"Hey Kanata"

"Who are you? How are able to contact me?" I asked from the strange person on the call.

"No need for you to know… By the way, want some revenge?" He replied.

I wondered what the person meant by that but I'm sure it is a voice of a man.

"What do you mean by that? What do you want?"

"Don't be so cold. I know where Alice is being held" he replied.

"What do you mean by Alice? Alice Mirai? ... Hey stop joking around or I'm gonna kill you"

"Don't you want to take her back? If not okay I'll end this call" He frightened me to end the call.

"No, no I want to know" I suddenly replied.

Akira beside me heard what the call is for. She is a teammate from our guild and her name is Akira Kei.

She looked at me with a straw in her mouth. She puts out the straw and said to me.

"Hey Kanata Who is that?" Akira asked.

I don't want them to know what the person is saying and I tried to hide it.

"Oh no it's nothing" I told her.

"No I've heard it." She is pretty sure that she heard it.

"Heard of what?" I tried avoiding that. But looks like she really heard it.

She curved her eyebrows and gave an angry, puzzled look.

"If you want to take her back I'm here, Tetsuo too" Akira told me.

I don't want to cause trouble for them so I've decided to give her an angry look.

I beg her not to tell anyone. "Please don't tell anyone. I've got this on my own"

"No I just can't do that it's not safe to around right now. It's dark, who knows what creatures might be around."

Our conversation will not go anywhere it's turning into an argument.

"No I can handle this I just can't let you guys get caught onto my own problems."

"No we are here in the guild, the guild can help you. Who knows where that call came from it might be a trap isn't obvious?"

"Well no matter what I need to finish this matter."

"You're just too selfish you know we can do this."

"Could you just please stop!" I raised my voice as I said it. The exact voice that the only two of us can hear. I made her sad the moment I yelled to her.

"It's something that I need to fix by myself. But can't you take a hint that I don't want to cause trouble to anyone. I'm prepared no matter the result or outcomes it may be. You always think of me, the things that I want to deal with myself you guys always ignore if I really need your help." A word the made here silent for a second.

"…"

"But you might die you know" she continued after the things I said to her.

"And it's my problem it doesn't concern you." I added.

"I can't accept that I doesn't concern me". She replied.

"That's what I mean why don't you just think. Can't you just see that I don't want you to get caught onto my problems."

"But least let me help you and be worry about you . I want your problems to be mine also." She continued.

"I don't wanna say this but I'm going to hate you if you continue. Please… please can you just guys wait after I finished to deal with this." I've decided to give some hurtful words in order to stop her. Looks like I've hurt her but I need to do this.

Her face turned into a sad and worried after the things that I said but she just can't stop herself that she wants to help me.

"But you're my team mate. No you're not just my team mate you are our precious friend." She continued.

"Please stop" I shouted. A long voice heard in the whole room. (Restaurant)

From a moment of silence everyone looked at us.

After that people continued what they are doing.

I hurt her so bad that I can't forgive myself from doing it, but what else can I do right? I protected her and my friend from the outcomes of the decisions I made.

Her face turned into something I don't want to see. A look of a sad and worried person.

I yelled at and humiliated her in a restaurant full of people who heard, because I didn't want to involve her with the bad things that will happen for sure.

After that she gave up on helping me. I was lucky Tetsuo isn't here if he's here it's going to be a bigger problem.

I don't want to cause trouble to anyone, I don't want anyone to hear my call anymore and, I want to solve my problem on my own. I walked toward the exit to continue my call.

What inhumanly things I've said to her I don't deserve forgiveness after what I have done.

I was able to sneak outside and no one was able to know I've continued my call.

"Hey are you still there?"

"Looks like you've got trouble there do you?… well it's better for you to have more people within you I can't assure you to able to save her easily"

"That doesn't matter all I need is to save her"

"Okay then I giving you the details of the location"
