3 Living Together

Min Yi got out of the hair salon after getting a new hair cut. She decided to just add layers to her hair to add more texture, she was going to dye it but decided not to. She arrived at the Emerald Mall and went straight to the third floor when she noticed that there was a fuss outside. She was glad that she decided to use sunglasses to not attract so much attention.

She saw people gathering talking about something that happened earlier, so Min Yi was curious and decided to ask.

"Excuse me, could you tell me what happened here?" A cute smile showing on her lips.

The girl was taken aback by her beauty but was eager to answer. "W-well, there was an issue with one of the employees. The CEO himself Luther Mao was here and he fired someone."

"I see," Said Min Yi while glancing inside of the store.

"She deserved to get fired, that employee was a bitch." Another one said with a frown.

"But I never expected the big boss to drop by, " she continued with sparkles in her eyes. "He's so hot. Did you see his face?" She said while clasping her hands together, daydreaming.

"He looks so good that I thought my eyes were deceiving me, it's insane."

"When we were inside he looked at me for a moment and I almost died." Said another one while putting one hand on her chest. The others started laughing.

"But hey, isn't that Min Yi?" One of the girls whispered.

They looked at Min Yi with curiosity. "Omg, it is her! I can't believe we've met two celebrities today."

"Dude, go ask her to invite you to her party tonight." One said while pushing the other.

"Okay, okay. Just don't push me!" She glared and fixed her clothes to talk to Min Yi. "Hmm, Miss Min Yi,"

Min Yi who was looking at her phone trying to contact her friend, turned around to look at the girl.

"Yes?"

"W- we've heard that you have a party today, and we were wondering if we could attend."

The girl asked nervously. She was cute, hence the reason why she was the one sent to ask, they thought her cuteness might succeed.

"Of course you can go. Everyone's invited unless the club is full." She smiled, "But let me sent you an invitation so you can show it at the entrance and avoid doing the line," She pulled out her phone.

Min Yi asked the girl for her email to send the invitation, and they were shocked. They never thought that she would be that nice in person so they went immediately online to praise her on Twitter.

Min Yi wanted to see for herself what happened since her friend Hua Lin works in the store and she wants to make sure she's okay. She said thank you to the girls and walked in.

She noticed that there were a lot of customers and the noise was a little bit unbearable. She looked around the store to find her friend and was able to spot her on the back talking with another employee. She walked towards her and she could feel all the gazes on her, since they probably knew who she was but they didn't approach her and she was glad.

"Hua Lin," She said. "Are you perhaps giving the clothes away for free, what's with all these people?" She said jokingly.

Huan Lin looked up when she heard Min Yi's voice and smiled. "Look who's talking. Don't you think that the reason may be due to a party that someone randomly organized for today?" She lifted a brow.

Min Yi laughed. She went around the register table and hugged Hua Lin. Even though they were best friends and grew up together, they haven't seen each other consistently for almost 2 years.

Hua Lin's father's business went bankrupt so she had to move and Min Yi had to go take acting classes at a university outside the city, and they grew apart. But now, since Hua Lin is back and found this job, she was happy because she would be able to see her often.

"I missed you so much, Lin." She hugged her tightly.

"Me too, me too." She left out a chuckle and patted her back.

They stopped hugging each other and Min Yi leaned towards the table resting her chin on her hand. She looked at Hua Lin and noticed that she looked skinnier and tired.

"So, how's your dad?" She gently asked while smiling.

"He's doing just fine," Hua Lin replied, "He said that he prefers to stay in a rural city than go back here." she looked at Min Yi with a sad smile.

"I understand," Min Yi said, since the reason behind it was clear. "Where are you staying?"

"I found a little apartment close to here, it would be easier for me to go to work and college." She replied. "And is cheap."

Min Yi was annoyed and upset because she didn't want her friend to stay alone in an apartment in this big city. Her cute Hua Lin would attract too much attention, even though her personality changed, she still has that charm that attacks people so she was concerned.

"Hmm..." Min Yi touched her lower lip. "How about coming to live with me?" She offered.

"W-what?!" Hua Lin was surprised by the sudden offer.

"I mean, think about it," Min Yi straighten up. "I live in the center of the city which is relatively close to everything," She explained. "And there are two extra rooms in my penthouse which are unoccupied."

"But, I don't want to bothe-"

"Oh come on,"

Min Yi interrupted her and said while holding Hua Lin's hands. "I'd love to have your company, it would benefit both of us." She pleaded. "Please say yes."

"..."

"Pretty please?"

"Okay, okay. I'll go."

"YES! You won't regret it." Said Min Yi while hugging her.

Hua Lin was weak to Min Yi's puppy eyes so couldn't reject it. Since Min Yi still needed to buy some clothes for the party she looked around the store and found the perfect black dress with smalls silver jewels, and a line on the side that showed a bit of her skin. The dress was pretty. It had long sleeves and hugged her body enhancing her curves. It was sexy and she loved it.

Thinking of inviting Hua Lin, she secretly picked an outfit for her as well. Min Yi waited for her until her shift ended since they needed to go to Hua Lin's apartment and pick her bags. They drove to Min Yi's apartment while listening to some music in the car. Min Yi lowered the volume.

"Lin," She said with a sad tone on her voice and looking forward to the rode. "Why didn't you tell me that you came back?"

Hua Lin seeing Min Yi'ss expression felt guilty. She only wanted to get back on her feet before going to see her.

"I just wanted to get a stable job first, and..." She replied while looking out the window.

"I didn't want to throw my problems at you." She confessed.

"...I see."

There was silence between them the rest of the way, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Min Yi knew as well where she was coming from since she herself did the exact same thing when her father forced her to join the entertaiment industry. They arrived at the apartment complex and Min Yi gave Hua Lin a spare of key at the reception and the code for the door.

They went to the 7th floor and Min Yi showed Hua Lin the room that she was going to use.

Even though Hua Lin used to be wealthy, after living day by day without enough money she felt the differences between their lifestyles now. Just the room that Min Yi gave her was bigger than the whole apartment in which she was staying the night before, and yet she was struggling to pay the rent. She was lost in thoughts until Min Yi's words pulled her out to reality.

"I know you don't want to hear this but," She paused and grabbed her hand. "I'm here to help you with anything you need. You're like a sister to me."

Hua Lin looked at her and saw Min Yi's sad expression. The truth is that she was happy to see her, she really missed her. Min Yi was the only friend that stayed with her in the worst moments of her life, and she held a special place in her heart.

"Thank you, Min Yi." She replied and held her hand tight.

To change the subject Min Yi let go of her and pusher her to her room, along with the bags.

"Come on, get your stuff out and take a bath," Min Yi said to her while smiling. "We're going out tonight."
