1 The Before
The day was Bright, not single cloud in the sky could be seen. The Grass looks greener, the flowers bloomed like it never bloomed before. The air is cold, but just the right kind. In the middle of it all is Catherine, on her way to town to buy a Wedding dress for Her Wedding in the next 2 Days. She wanted to Buy one tomorrow, but her mother urged her to buy one today. Along with her sister and her mother, they were talking Non-stop about the wedding as if that's only thing happening at the Moment. They've reach town and stopped by a Store selling the Most Luxurious and well made Dresses in all of town. Her sister and her were giggling just by looking at the Dresses that were on display. They then entered the store, and as they entered, they were greeted with the Finest dresses they have ever seen. They checked everyone of them, amazed by it's design, look and craftmanship, they just couldn't get enough of it. While her mother and sister looked at the finest dresses they could find, Catherine was stuck looking at a white dress. This one was still Luxurious and elegant, but in Comparison with the other dresses, it stand out by being simple. Despite that, she was attached to it and she knew that is the one she's going to wear
She called out to her Mother and Sister and told them that she wanted that one. Her sister liked it, but her mother thought to herself that she is cheaping out on her wedding. They called in someone to assist them, then they were told to wait as they are just going to call their tailor. Her Mother went closer to the Mannequin, inspecting the dress. Looking at all it's detail with a skeptical face.
"Mom, is everything okay?" Catherine Asked.
"Yeah, everything's fine, I just wanted to take a closer look" Her Mother Replied.
"Are you sure cause I know that Face, there's something you want to say isn't ?" Catherine asked
"It's just.....there's a lot of dress here Honey, really elegant dresses and I just Think that this one is.....not the best one to wear" Her Mother Replied.
"Mom, we talked about this okay? It's my Wedding" Catherine said.
"Yeah I know, it's just.....it's your Big day and I really want you to look really Beautiful since it's your special day and all" Her Mother said as tears run down her cheeks, wiping every drop of it.
Catherine walked closer to her, putting her hand on her Shoulders, reassuring her, "Don't worry Mom, it will be"
She Hugged her mother as she Continues to rub the tears on her cheeks. The staff came back and with the tailor so they proceeded to measure her to give her the Comfortable feel needed in her dress. After they Got out of the store, Joseph, her Fiance, called her. As she answers it, her mother and sister was giggling at the background.
"Hey Babe how's the shopping?" Joseph asked.
"Exciting, really exciting. We just finished up buying a dress and we are on our way to buy shoes." she responded with a blush on her face.
"Owwww a dress, Mind telling me what it looks like?" he asked jokingly
"It will be better as a Surprise Babe" she replied.
"Okay, okay*chuckles* Take care Babe okay, I'll call you later again." said Joseph with an excited voice.
"You too Babe, Goodbye, I love You" she said.
"I love you too, Goodbye Babe"
Joseph than Hanged up and she went with her mother and sister. They asked her what they talked about, she just told them that he's just checking up on her, her Mother and Sister giggled more getting the attention of the People around them. She then told them to get on the other store to buy shoes. After About an hour of shopping they Decided to rest and eat at a Restaurant near the store they last went in. They found their seats, ordered food and ate.
"So on a Scale of 1 to 10, how excited are you?" Evelyn, Her sister Asked.
"Excited doesn't even begin to cover it, but something tells me that the two of you are ten times more excited than me" Catherine Responded.
"Well we just really didn't expect it, you were the quietest one of us all and you getting a Boyfriend, well fiance, and get married, that's really something special" Evelyn said.
"Well you're not the only one who's Surprised to be honest, but what can I say Joseph stole my heart" she told them.
"What was it like though? When he proposed to you?" Her Mother excitingly asked.
"It was really unexpected, really sweet and beautiful. He took me to a Beautiful Private Island, complete with everything. He took me to the beach and told me to look at the sunset I did and when I looked back at Him, he was kneeling down, holding a ring in his Hand and he asked me, 'will you marry me?' . I was frozen still, I didn't know what to say, but we've been together for 2 years and I knew him already so I said, Yes" Catherine told them.
"Wow! I wish I'd get a Boyfriend like that" Evelyn said.
"Finish Your High School First Evelyn" Catherine said
"Yeah, Yeah I know" Evelyn responded." How about You Mom? How did dad Proposed to you?"
"Well it's a Long story or maybe a not that Long but, we were both 25 at that time, your dad a bit Older. We always had this Spot in the Mountain where we'll hangout and look at the rest of the town. We always went up there, to relax and talk about things. One day he invited me to went up there, but it was really early. We went there and at first we were just talking. Until he reached for his Pocket and then put his arm around my shoulder. I didn't notice it at first, but he was Holding a ring, upto now I felt like an Idiot, not knowing that was what he's holding. Until he told me to look at his hand and I saw it. After that he removed his Shoulder on my Hand, he kneeled and asked me if wanted to marry him. I was in shock, I didn't know what to say. I looked at the ring and it looked really nice. At that time, your Father wasn't Rich he sometimes doesn't have Money. Seeing that ring told me that he worked hard for it, probably a lot of blood and sweat went to it, so I said yes."
"Ugh! all this talk about Romance really makes me want to go find a Boyfriend" Evelyn Said.
"Okay that's Enough, let's eat our food" Their Mother Jokingly said.
After they ate, they went back to their Car with their, obviously still excited for Catherine's wedding. As they were heading back, they bumped with Jonathan, her best friend who is just also on his way home.
"Hey Jonathan, how are you?" Catherine asked.
"I'm fine, just buying stuff for the house, you, how are you?" He asked.
"I'm okay, just finished up buying for the wedding" she responded.
"Guess you're excited huh?" he said.
"You could say that and hey don't be late okay I don't want my Bestfriend late for the wedding" Catherine said.
"Don't worry I'll be the first one to be there" He jokingly said
"You better!" Said Catherine as she waved Goodbye.
They went on their way, but as Jonathan saw that he gained a few miles away from her, his sadness came back. He liked Catherine and He was sad that he didn't make the First move. But he couldn't do anything, but to accept that his bestfriend is going to be married with someone else.
They drove Catherine Home at her own House and her mother and sister bid their farewell and went on their way. As soon as she entered her house, Joseph called her, asking her how was her day. She told him all about it and talked a little bit about the wedding. They both said Goodbye and Catherine Looked around her house, admiring everything and feeling a little bit down. After they Get married she plans to sell the House. So Joseph and her will truly live at the same House and Home. Joseph told her that she doesn't have to, but it's a decision she made on her own. She then changed clothes, went to her bedroom, Imagined how great and wonderful her wedding is going to be, until she grew tired and went to sleep, Optimistic to another day.
