1 STATUS UPDATE

Kyle – "My rise to the top of the Haden High School food chain happened faster than a three-second snapchat. But it wasn't always that way. A few weeks ago, I was just like you, then I updated my status and some pretty strange things began to happen. I feel like I owe everyone an explanation, so here it is."

KYLE, his sister and mother moved from California to Connecticut for his senior high school year. Kyle really doesn't like this decision of his mom. Kyle woke up and called his dad who is still in California. He loves a lot but his mother had divorced him. He got ready for the first day of his senior school but without any enthusiasm.

He takes his skateboard and goes to school. Reaching school he asked some seniors about Room 23 where his fist class is. The popular senior kids tell him the wrong direction just to mess up with him. He reaches his class late and the teacher is very with him.

During lunch he meets Lonnie, a nerd student in the School. He becomes friends with Lonnie. Derek- The popular senior kid who told Kyle the wrong direction of Room 23 came to their table and he mocked Lonnie. Kyle got really very upset. Kyle comes to know about Derek (The most popular kid) from Lonnie. He tells him that Derek has a YouTube Channel of his own and he is like the God of hockey. He has won several prizes and everyone in the school is feared of him.

After classes in the corridor Derek comes to Kyle and says, "Hey. Come on, man. I'm just messing with you. All right? It's nothing personal." Lonnie shouts, "Kyle! Look out!" Derek with his friends push Kyle and his phone drops. They start playing hockey with his phone. His phone is now totally destroyed.

After school he goes to a Phone fixing shop. Kyle gave his phone to the man. That bearded man look really weird. He said," Let me tell you something, in a former life, I was a wolf." Kyle was confused. The bearded man told Kyle to fly. What? Yes, Fly. They both made their hands their wings and started flying. The bearded man said," That was intense, man.

How do you feel?" Kyle replied, "Embarrassed." The shopkeeper gave Kyle a phone with an app 'YOUniverse' on it. He told him to fill the details on the app and the universe will make them come true.

At night Kyle decided to write on YOUniverse that he wanted his dad to come to him all the way from California. The next day, Oh My God- He saw his dad. He was so happy. At school he saw a poster of SINGING AUDITIONS IN SCHOOL. Kyle had a passion for singing. He wrote on the YOUniverse that He wanted to sing like a Classical trained singer. Well, you should choose your wishes wisely. He started singing and sung like an Italian women singing Opera. Everyone was shocked they started laughing at him even the teacher.

He goes to the same shopkeeper (The bearded man) again and asks him if he could take back or vanish something he posted on the YOUniverse. Shopkeeper says," If a unicorn wrote a tweet and then posted it and then he put it up and deleted it and then a tree fell down in the forest does anybody even hear it?" Kyle didn't understand a word and angrily asked," What are you talking about?" Shopkeeper asked," What do you want to take back?" Kyle shocks him with his singing (Italian woman opera). The Shopkeeper gets shocked and tells that you can't change the past but universe is changing every second. You just have to update your status. At Night he updated his status and wrote in YOUniverse- I sang and danced like Bruno Mars in the school.

Next day at school – LUNCH he went to singing teacher and said," I want one another chance." He teacher mocked him again. He starts singing just like Bruno Mars in front of the whole school in the canteen. Everybody dances and sings with him. Teacher is really shocked. Kyle now gets an entry into the choir group who is preparing for a singing competition.

The other day he talks to Lonnie and tells him about his secret app. Lonnie doesn't believe a single word Kyle tells. To prove Lonnie wrong he gives his skateboard to his friend Lonnie who has never rode a skateboard ever in his life. He writes on YOUuniverse- Lonnie is a professional skateboarder and IT COMES TRUE!!!

Lonnie and Kyle are both enjoying their ride so far but the MORTAL ENEMY—Derek shows up and pushes Lonnie off. Lonnie falls. Kyle challenges Derek to ride the skateboard if he's such a player. Kyle uses the YOUuniverse app and Derek falls In front of the whole school.

The Other day Lonnie invites Kyle to his birthday party. Suddenly Derek comes and teases Lonnie again. Kyle gets hurt and thinks to take revenge from Derek by beating Derek in his own game- ICE HOCKEY.

He shows up where Derek is practicing Ice Hockey. He asks the coach to for an audition. Everybody along with the coach laughs at him. Kyle writes on YOUuniverse – I am Wayne Gretzky. Kyle plays so good that he becomes the leader in the game. He becomes the popular kid now and everybody loves him.

The other day some kids invite him to a party at Saturday. Yes Saturday the day he was supposed to meet Lonnie and his parents for his Birthday celebration. But, he forgot…

The Next day, Lonnie stopped talking to Kyle.

EVERYTHING NOW GETS MESSED UP. HE THINKS THAT HE IS HIDING HIMSELF FROM THE WOLD BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, HIMSELF.

He starts losing interest in Hockey now. He meets Lonnie again and apologizes. He also tells him to download the app YOUuniverse so that Lonnie becomes cool too. Lonnie replies," I am who I want to be. You're the one who changed." This statement really touched Kyle.

While walking, he suddenly dropped his phone. This made YOUniverse glitch and it stopped working. Kyle runs and goes to the same shopkeeper (bearded man). He notices that he was not there anymore. He is now trapped.

He also quits his choir group because of that too. He becomes very lonely. The next morning his mom came to his room and saw Kyle being depressed. She asked him to share his problems to her. Kyle replies," I posted some things on social media, and I've hurt people. And it all keeps getting worse, and I've really messed up." His mom replies," Okay, well, when you mess up, and you're going to mess up the only thing you can do is take ownership of it and try to make it right, that's it. It's like ripping off a Band-aid. It's going to hurt, but just do it and it's done. And look, social media, that stuff isn't real, you know that. Now get up and go to School."

Now, Kyle decides to make everything right. He goes to Lonnie's house and meets his parents. They are so happy to see the first true friend of Lonnie. He apologizes to Lonnie and they become friends again. Kyle meets Derek after this. Derek has now become a very lonely person in the school. He goes to him and tells him that he doesn't want this life anymore. He gives Derek a chance to play hockey as the leader and win the game.

The next day, was the Singing competition and the Hockey Competition too. Kyle faked his injury in the hockey game and made Derek come at his place. He rushed to the hall where the singing competition was taking place. The whole band along with Kyle sung the song happily. His mom and dad both saw Kyle singing. They were so happy and proud for him.

This was the first time that this high School had ever won the Singing Competition and hockey too.

After this Derek became responsible, Kyle and Lonnie became best friends ever. Kyle's Mom and dad came together again and they lived a very happy life ever after.
