5 Deadly Emotions

Lamna had just begun to recall a great sense of longing from her memories of her past life to the title of wizard and the fantasy-like act of using magic, when the bloodline she acquired stated clearly that it was the bloodline for all non magic creatures. 'Being unable to use magic despite coming into the forever longed for fantasy world, I don't want to live in a world like this where I will be constantly reminded of my great misfortune!' Guided by her feelings from her past life Lamna grabbed her sewing needle that she kept on her for practice, and proceeded to move it towards her heart. This was the body of a monster, but stabbing it through the heart would certainly kill it.

The battle was silent, the villagers nearby who were telling/listening to stories only noticed her hands move at most and didn't realize anything happened. One hand stabbed the needle towards the heart, but was blocked by the other hand which acted as a shield. Lamna worked hard to avoid showing the blood that came out of the small puncture wound, as well as the pain it caused her. The needle was thin and probably not long enough to reach the heart, but it was thrust with enough force to go all the way through Lamna's hand.

Luckily Lamna won against her memories and feelings of her past life, they seemed to be separate while still knowing what each other wants and feels. Lamna was happy living here in this village, while her other self wanted to explore and understand this world along with its magic. Her other self's aspirations of magic were deep and strong rooted, they were unchangeable, this made Lamna want something to call her dream.

"Lamna, is something wrong? You look a bit pale." The villager who was telling stories of when he used to travel all around the world killing monsters paused because he noticed something was wrong.

"Oh, I think I may be sick. I should get some more rest, but before that could I ask you if adventuring is really that fun why did you come here." He sighed in relief when he heard that and nodded.

"Adventuring is fun, exciting, and you get to see lots of amazing things, but most of all tiring. Here, it is different, I don't get stressed, it is very relaxing, and there are interesting people to talk to." At this moment Lamna was pondering what this meant. She realized that the key word there was that they are different, she wouldn't understand the fun of adventuring without trying it. 'I can give you that much at least.' Lamna said to her other self.

As she said Lamna returned home and went straight to bed after hearing the answer to her question, and bandaging her hand. Once in bed she couldn't sleep so she started thinking things over. Her past life, the village, the villagers, herself as a human, and herself as a monster. 'As a human I am young and people won't think I am old enough to travel alone, my past life gives me experiences others this age don't have… wait, do I actually remember any of that?' Lamna had just begun to wonder if she had anything more than the memories of wanting things.

"Lama! I heard you were sick so I came over as fast as I could!" Granny sprinted from the door of the house to where Lamna's bed was. 'It's been 30 minutes while it only takes 5 minutes to walk across the village.'

"Thank you for worrying Granny, but I am alright." Lamna said, hoping she would leave.

"Don't worry I'll make sure to take care of you, I know how it feels to be all alone. Worrying will make you feel worse." The two made eye contact, frankly Lamna actually wanted to be alone so that she could calmly think.

"Ah, are you hungry? If not, I can come up with some games we can play for entertainment!" Granny started walking away towards the kitchen before anything could be said. 'Don't just assume what I want!'

"Wait…"

"Oh, do you want to play games? I was once a kid, and I remember my favorite game to play was count the straw!" Granny pulled out a handful of straw from somewhere and proceeded to throw it onto the bed. 'I hate people who can't listen!' Lamna's uninjured hand pulled out the sewing needle and stabbed it straight into Granny's heart.

"It shouldn't be long enough!" Lamna started to cry as Granny collapsed to the ground. She was unable to stop her hand in time, it looked like it was going to stab, but it threw the sewing needle instead and it went straight through.

"Lamna, I don't understand your circumstances, but I hope you… have a plan to… dispose… of…" when the heart was punctured the blood stopped circulating and Granny died right then and there. The sadness was immense, it triggered Lamna to remember the sadness when her pet dog died in her past life, this did not help.

Lamna didn't even want to think about cleaning up as she dragged Granny to the entrance of the crawl space, it was a horrible experience, she would do anything to avoid having to do this again. She didn't even dislike Granny, it was her other self that seemed to react solely on it's current emotions. No one visited that day, and she managed to get the house back in presentable condition before it was time to sleep.

'All memories I have gotten have some connection with a strong emotion, with the exception being that I can determine if I knew about something by guess and check like how I figured out how I used to be human.' Lamna felt strangely calm while she laid in bed and she wondered if it was because she wasn't truly a human. 'Ultra Human' was her current species, what does that mean?

[Ultra Human]

Meaning above human, this is a greater human that possesses strengths from other species.

Lamna was likely stronger and faster than normal humans, not to mention being able to fly, but she got the feeling that this is still human on the inside. 'Is killing another human bad in this world? My emotions from my past life made me kill Granny, but immediately afterwards they were telling me I did something wrong and I needed to hide. Kill, and murder, I know these words well, they are deeply connected to many emotions, especially fear. Fear to kill, fear to be killed, no one wants to be killed, but why was Granny so… accepting? I don't understand. Do I have to leave the village now? What if they find out Granny is dead, and come to my house where she was last located.' Lamna was getting more and more sleepy as she thought about these issues, her tears had long since dried when she stopped fussing about Granny's death and went to sleep.
