No one want me?!

Everyone sat together and started eating breakfast, Table was small four-sided one and they were sitting on each corner Tsubaki sat in front of Shuri and Akeno sat in front of Dexter, everyone was in good mood especially Shuri as she had a constant smile on her face but little Akeno was looking down while playing with her food, so out of concern Dexter asked," Little Akeno is something bothering you?"

Little Akeno looked at Dexter and asked," Ne Onii Chan, am I so bad that everyone wants to leave me?"

Hearing her question everyone stopped eating and looked at her.

Dexter took the napkin on the table and cleaned his mouth, placing back the napkin on the table he asked," Why do you think so Akeno?"

"Daddy left us a few years ago, grandfather and grandmother don't like me and yesterday even mom was going to leave me. Tell me, Onii Chan, am I really that unlikeable that no one wants to be with me." Akeno paused a little to take a breath as she had said that in one breath and hearing her daughter Shuri was on verge of getting up to hug the girl but Dexter held her down and little Akeno continued," Before you and Tsubaki came, I didn't have any friends no one would talk to me, no one would play with me. Why doesn't anyone like me Onii Chan?" Akeno asked as tears threatened to fall from her eyes.

After Akeno had her say, Dexter, released Shuri who was giving him an angry glare as soon as she was released she gave a tight hug to Akeno while muttering 'I am sorry' over and over again. Tsubaki was looking at Akeno enviously seeing this Dexter went near her and she too hugged him as tears threaten to fall from her eyes too.

Giving a sigh Dexter tried to calm Tsubaki down and said," Akeno, don't count the things you have lost, but cherish what you have."

Hearing him Little Akeno asked in puzzlement while freeing herself a little from her mother, "What do you mean Onii Chan?"

Dexter had a calm expression on his face and he continued," Well Akeno let me tell you two stories, first about a boy and another about a girl."

"Let's, first start with the boy, this boy was not an orphan, but his parents left him at an orphanage. He grew in an environment where each has to fend for his food every day. He didn't even know when he would be murdered for food. This orphanage was a place were the strong rule and weak perish. Since he was able to stand he had to fight for his food every day and many times he would go without food for days."

"This orphanage was a place that was picked to train strong assassin. An assassin is a person who would kill for money without morals, for them, the order was supreme and they had to do as ordered. In that place, he grew up but was able to maintain his sanity through his luck."

After pausing a little Dexter continued," when he turned ten he was selected for special training. In training, each day was hell he would be wiped countless times every day for mistakes. When it was time to sleep he would need to be on constant alert because if he isn't he could be killed in sleep. This way eight more years passed and he became an assassin. During those years he had killed many of his fellow assassins so that he could live. Each and every day was hell, someone would die someone would be crippled and killed by another."

"When he was released from that hell hole, he was like a beast that didn't know how to love and care he just knew how to kill. He became a top assassin of that time but during one of the missions he fell in love with a girl who was his partner but he didn't understand what it was at first, it was a long mission taking six months to complete. Slowly he began to regain his clarity and started to have feelings, he started to look at the world differently, and suddenly his life felt like it became more enjoyable, filled with colors. But that too didn't last long as she was killed in the mission and died completing it."

"Seeing her die in front of him he was unable to hold his emotion and went on a killing spree, killing a lot of people no matter whether they were responsible or not for her death. But was brought back to his sense by father trying to protect his family of three, who were huddling behind the man, seeing them, he felt something connect in his broken mind and he calmed down."

"After calming down he left that place as the mission was complete but wasn't able to feel that way ever again. But after seeing the family a new emotion was induced in his heart that was care, he never got to understand what love is but he knew what care is, so he started to care for others. Slowly time passed and he started to assassinate bad guys, who would tear a family, but as time went by he became a thorn in eyes of people. finally, when he was at the age of twenty-five he was killed."

Hearing this all of them were looking towards him while little Tsubaki was holding him tightly, ignoring everyone he continued," Now let me tell you story of a girl."

"She was a normal girl and had a normal family that is until she turned five. The day she turned five, everything changed her power awakened and she was thrown out of her family, her parents started to fear her and thought of sending her to the orphanage." Hearing this Tsubaki was startled and started to remember her past.

"Only one person remains on her side, that was the servant who would care for her since she was little but on a fateful day he too was attacked suddenly and was in a coma and she was left with no one to support her. Finally, the servant regains his consciousness with few powers and he was able to take her out of her prison that was her home and now she is living happily with him while forgetting her past." after pausing he said while looking at the mother and child pair,"That Assassin was me in my last life and I got that power after little Tsubaki attacked me and I went into a coma but when I woke up I remembered a lot of things. We both only have us to support and if you still live in your past then you will never be able to move forward." Dexter said while holding Tsubaki and looking at the mother and child pair.

"Akeno you at least have your mother who cares for you and me and little Tsubaki too care about you. So don't think that you are alone. We will always be with you."

Hearing the story everyone was silent, he stood up while taking little Tsubaki up with him both of them changed shoes and Dexter left with little Tsubaki. Leaving Shuri and Akeno alone to give them time to think.
