Ch15. Magic #2
There are 12 rewards that I received after having my first time with Yuki. That was crazy, like why the hell the system grants me an achievement for doing that? But anyway, the more rewards I get the better. If these kinds of achievements are repeatable, then maybe ..., ah no, there's no way I'd farming these achievements by having sex with women.
Let's talk more about the rewards. As usual, the system let me choose one of the two choices. Some were items but most of them are blueprints.
1. [Black Soul Gem(Filled)] / [All-Scrying Orb]
For practicality, I choose the All-Scrying Orb. The soul gem is just an ingredient for enchanting a magical artifact. I can't use it for now because how the hell do I know any shit about enchanting?! The method of making magical artifacts in Alice's memories is so different than in Skyrim, the origin of that black soul gem.
The all-scrying orb is a magic crystal ball that let me have a bird vision and observed anything that I desire. This was a free magical google earth, or maybe it was just Third Hokage's pervert magic ball. With this, I can draw my map better.
2. [Nephrite] / [Jadeite]
I honestly don't know the difference between the two, but I choose the latter because of the name.
3. [Katana Blueprint] / [Liuyedao Blueprint]
Can I be more chuuni than this? Yes, of course! I choose Katana because this sword is incredibly famous around the world ..., or maybe because I have been tainted with the Japanese anime pop culture.
4. [Washi Paper Blueprint] / [Paper Production Machine]
Now, this is a strange one. The first choice is a blueprint of paper and the second one is the blueprint for a machine that produces paper. It was like telling me to choose the golden egg or the golden goose. I choose the latter because I also want my people to start working and not relying on me for the crafting and production related. If everything was made by me, then why it was called the City of Craftsmen?'
5. [Japanese Castle Blueprint] / [European Castle Blueprint]
Japanese Castle. No need for explanation, it's obvious why I choose this.
6. [Weaving Loom] / [Spindle Wheel]
I choose the weaving loom because I know what a spindle is and I think I can craft it with my current experience in woodworking. But the loom is a complex instrument and I don't know its inner mechanism of it.
7. [Smelter] / [Furnace]
The smelter is to smelt a metal ore into liquid molten metal. While the furnace is the place to heat up metal for bending and shaping. I choose the former because it was not just your usual smelter but it was a damn Bessemer Converter! I can process iron into steel with this good stuff.
8. [Watermill Blueprint] / [Windmill Blueprint]
The wind wasn't blowing that strong in this region ..., and we have a particularly big river stream so yeah the Watermill it is then. I seem to recall last month I also got this choice, but I skipped it because I thought I don't need a watermill yet. Thankfully this option popped out again.
9. [Imperial Heavy Armor Set Blueprint] / [Piltover Enforcer Raid Armor Set Blueprint]
My inner child is screaming seeing these two options. But I feel conflicted, the first one is from Skyrim again. The armor set was the uniform of the Imperial faction in the civil war. While they kinda look alike Roman Empire laminar armor, I always prefer the Elder Scroll version of the armor. But the second one is from one of my favorite Netflix animations, Arcane. Piltover Enforcer armor is damn lit and it was one of my favorite fantasy uniforms.
In terms of defense, heavy armor could provide more protection. But it would be too impractically heavy for us, Blood Demons. I realized from my previous slaughter that my combat style is leaning toward speed and agility more. With that reasoning, I choose the latter because it is light armor.
10. [Ballistae Blueprint] / [Trebuchet Blueprint]
I don't think I have a need for something like this siege weaponry ..., but if I had to choose, then maybe Ballistae. I can mount them on one of the roofs or walls for extra protection.
11. [Animal Pen Blueprint] / [Terraced Farm Blueprint]
Let's take the farm ..., there are a lot of hills around here anyway. And I can design an animal pen myself.
12. [Parasol Blueprint] / [Umbrella Blueprint]
Why did this even pop out? Well, they're practically the same anyway. I'll take the umbrella, it doesn't matter.
I checked the items one by one and learned all the blueprints.
I must say, I want to craft all of these things immediately. My craftsman heart roared. I don't dare to call myself a dedicated man of craft, but I am starting to enjoy this job.
If only I have more men working for me, I can speed up the extraction of resources. With that, I can afford to keep more people as my subordinates ..., and then after that, I can train them in the art of warfare.
I maybe can conquer this era and establish a kingdom for myself ... nah, that's absurd. Me? conquering the world? Impossible. Besides, ruling a country sounds like a hassle. I prefer spending my time here, crafting, researching, constructing a building, ah yeah ..., cuddling, and humping my lovely Yuki. That's the kind of slow life I'd rather get than the constant headache of ruling a country.
Things have changed in my daily routine. My sleep cycle has completely turned upside down since I become nocturnal. Most of the activity I did at night, and sleep during the day. But yeah, most of the time, the night activity was just having fun with Yuki.
I could stay awake in the morning till noon, that was the time when I go tending the farm and harvest the fish. After that, I go to sleep until dinnertime ... or maybe my new breakfast.
Everything else I did in the nighttime. Be it training my magic, crafting, or just gathering some materials in the wild.
And yeah, despite my vigorously doing it with Yuki. I never triggered the system again. Even though I've tried many different positions that I could think of. I wonder if the first night was something like a bug.
Oh well, it's fine as well ..., I've received plenty enough rewards from the system. I got 6 or maybe 7 items before with the achievements, but just having sex with Yuki, I get 12 of them!
"Dear husband, please stop ..., I huffhhh ..., I can't, I can't anymore. Let me take a breath."
I poured water into a cup and gave it to her. "Here ..., drink some water."
I let her rest because we just did it for 5 hours straight and I've cummed inside her at least 13 times. This was nothing but a routine, and if not I felt pity for Yuki I might keep doing it for the next couple of hours.
After tasting the joy of reproduction ..., I feel that my lust is simply insatiable. It was like how I first stumbled upon the adult video site in my teenage days and became addicted to it. My dick couldn't calm down and I realized this has started to bother my daily life.
But well, what can I do aside from releasing it? I stroked Yuki's head as I rested her head on my chest. She's two heads taller than me, but she liked being cuddled like this especially after having sex like this. Of course, I also liked being pampered by her because she's just too mommy-able. We've done some mom-and-child play once, and honestly, that was fun.
"Yuki ..." I called out her name.
"Yes? I'm so sorry dear husband, but I'm too tired. Please let me rest or else I won't be able to wake up the next morning."
"Hahaha ..." I laughed out loud at her plea, "don't worry, you think I'm that cruel to you. If you don't want it, then let's stop. It won't be pleasant if I forced myself while you're unresponsive or even fainted when we're doing it."
"Huff ..., thank you for your consideration my husband." she pecked my lips after a heavy breath.
"I want to ask ..., what kind of magic you can use?"
"Hmmm ..., I can use Ice-magic, telekinesis, and psychometry."
"Psychometry?"
"It is magic to trace back the history or an event through an item. It was also called psychoscopy or token-object reading,"
"Wow ..., but how and from where did you learn something like that?"
"I didn't learn it from someone else, dear husband. Yuki-onna were all born with innate abilities. The majority are only gifted with one innate magic which is Ice-magic, but those who were lucky get two or even more. I have telekinesis and psychometry as my second and third ability."
"So it is an innate thing ..."
"Yes, why do you ask?" Yuki turned to look at me, her always-closed eyes opened slightly.
"I want to know more about you, we're gonna live together for a long time. Don't you think it's gonna be weird if I know nothing about my wife?"
"Ah ..., I see." she turned her head, and her pale face flushed red. It is rare to see her get flustered like this.
"Okay, next question ..., how is your mana pool?"
"Mana pool?"
"Don't tell me you're not using mana to power your magic?"
"Hmm, I've heard about it before." Yuki put on a thoughtful expression as if trying to recall something, she then clicked her finger and said. "Ahh ..., yes, human magus used something like that for their magic. But youkai is different ..., we used the energy contained in nature around us. We refer to these natural energies as senjutsu."
I remembered hearing something like that in Naruto, ah, in Highschool DxD too.
"I see ..., so that's why you live in seclusion at the top of a snow-capped mountain. Because the natural energy in that place is attuned with your magic."
"Yes! My dear husband is clever."
"But does that mean you're heavily incapacitated in this place? After all, this region is dry with little snow or ice in it."
"That is true ..., I might be a bit weak in Spring, Summer, and Autumn. But when the Winter is coming, I will be super strong, you know," she said reassuringly.
"..., I see." I hugged her shoulder tightly,
I started to think of a method for her to get her in full power regardless of the season. If I can do that, then I will get a super strong Ice mage on my side. I don't know if there's a day that I need her strength in a war, and I hope it won't happen. But preparing for the worse case is much better than being caught underprepared.
My thought goes to the artifacts and magic items that Alice wielded at some point in time. There are some artifacts that will help her gain the power of Ice in this not-so-cold region. It was either [Winter Truncheon] or [Ice Queen's Wand]. But I don't have the materials to craft it at the moment, well maybe sometimes in the future.
Anyway, I have completed the third objective of my Ascension Task. I crafted the most basic magical trinket in Land Of Dawn, a [Magic Necklace] yesterday using Jadeite. I received a huge chunk of this stone, and a magic necklace isn't that big. It only take a one-tenth out of the huge chunk of the precious stone to craft this artifact.

Crafting this thing cost mana a lot more compared to crafting a small building. But well, I guess it's because I need it to empower the item with some magic. I don't know, it's just my hypothesis.
Aside from that I also craft two more basic artifacts like [Power Crystal] and [Vitality Crystal]. The first increased base Mana by +280, while the vitality increased base Health by +230. I wanted to craft an [Elegant Gem] with those two, but to craft this artifact I need a gold ingot which I currently don't have.
Enough about that, I'll get some gold sooner or later. It's only a matter of when. In the meantime, I'm busying myself by experimenting with my magic spells.
My previous thought about Blood Magic is rigid. I thought that ..., because Alice and Cecilion are game characters, then I should cast the spell the same as they were doing in that game. However, that is proven wrong.
I could manipulate the spells if I know how to do so. Changing the shape and the output of the spell by calibrating the mana input and the magic circles.
I experimented with this by changing the Sanguine Claw effect. I tried to change the claw to appear not from 8 meters in front of me but from where I stood. I enlarged the claw to about 1 meter high and then it will move rapidly toward the enemy in the front.
After doing it a few times, I finally mastered this new spell. I name it Rapid Assault Blood Claw.
[Rapid Assault Blood Claw - Active]: Causing damage equal to 100(+60% Total Magic Power)(+1.4% of Total Mana) Magic Damage knocked enemies in a four-meter range in the front and stunned them for 1 second.
[Cost: 120 Mana] | [Cooldown: 30 seconds]
The base damage was reduced, and the Mana cost is increased. But I can spam this spell more often. I probably should think of a way to create more magic spells derived from the existing ones.
Ah yep, with this new modified spell, I finished my second ascension task. The only task yet to be completed is the first one that is, 100 kills with a magic spell. Now then, who should I attack? Are there any bandits or vile warlords around here?

Help! I need a reference on crafting/research tech tree, I want to add this function after the first ascension. I just never play games that much these days, the only thing I can think of is Rimworld's research or Sid Meier's Civilization's technologies. But if you know about other games with tech tree please comment and let me know, I will appreciate your help. Thanks.
