Interlude 01: Tōka has a superpower

3rd POV | Takanashi Household Kitchen |

'I, Toka Takanashi, finally...got powers!' Toka thought as she clutched her mouth with an excited blush on her face

After she had received the Blood Manipulation ability, she also received all the knowledge on how to use it. The Blood Manipulation ability also gives Toka a strong regeneration ability so that she won't run out of blood together with a special property that makes it so that a small cut or hole will not hurt. Her newly acquired hemokinesis gives her super strength because of her increased blood quality that makes her able to handle any construct that she creates

Toka had just finished washing the dishes and was bored, so she wanted to try out her awaited superpower. Believe it or not, Toka has a childish side hidden and separated from her monotonous and deadpan self

She went into her room with a kitchen knife, and sat on her bed—...

...—With shaky hands....she made a small cut across the top of her palm...the blood dripped slowly from the top to bottom as Toka closed her eyes to concentrate...

Whoosh-! Whooosh-!

Toka's blood started to whirl and float above her palm...It started to form into something slowly, but surely...a katana

A blood construct, a blood sword stood tall in her soft yet calloused hands...Toka opened her eyes in wonder

"It's...so beautiful..." Toka said as she inspected the blood construct that she formed

The magnificent possible impossibility astonished her...she never even thought that superpowers, magic and everything else fantasy was real and can be achieved

Swish-! Swish-!

Toka swung around the blood katana like it was a light as a ladle that she always carries, carefully avoiding hitting anything in her room. Toka rubbed her index and finger against the blade that somehow feels like a real blade, it had coldness like metal and iron.

Toka felt familiar with the touch of a blade as she had practiced Kendo before and touched a real metal blade once or twice, maybe even more. She felt nostalgia coursing through her mind as she smiled

Her arm trembled as the sword made out of blood separated in an extremely fascinating whirl of blood slowly entering her body again, slowly and gently, all of the blood returned to her body and even closed up the cut on her palm without any scars remaining...truly incredible....

Toka opened and closed her palm, clenching it while she did so. She stood up from her bed, as she thought

'I wanna practice again..' Toka thought as she remembered the perfect place to do so

Thinking quickly, she left her house and went into the forest nearby....

After a few minutes, she had arrived on her destination, a forest near a park and with her, a small knife.

She found a small open field amidst the sea of trees, and made a small cut in her palm again to allow the blood to flow and allow her to create a blood katana again..

Toka took up her stance with the sword in front of her exact middle, right foot forward and left foot slightly backwards, this stance is the most basic stance in Kendo called Chūdan-no-kamae

Bang-! Whooosh-! Swish-!

With a sudden burst of speed Toka disappeared from her place with a huge dent on the ground, she reappeared near a tree with her sword pointing up as she slashed down in a perfect crescent

Criickk-! Craaackk-!

With just one slash, the tree completely split in half, from top to bottom the tree was cut like it was a piece of butter fighting against a hot knife.

"Hmm...I'm rusty I should go train again sometimes...I guess" Toka said as she rotated her arm, she was stunned...she couldn't blurt out anything else because she was stunned at her newfound strength..

She couldn't believe that she could cut down a tree with one slash! She had too many shocks today, from receiving the Chat Group, to getting a power, and to find out that her strength was enhanced to what could probably be 3× that of a human's

So she headed back to her car and drove home to their house in silence digesting what just happened...

While driving home, Toka looked at her unfolded palm, and talked to herself

"Did...I just do that? I cut that tree in half with just a single swing? Am I dreaming?" Toka said in a deadpan manner as she pinched her arm

"Ouch!" Toka felt her arm sting and hurt

"It's real...." Toka really had too much..

Toka was so dazed that she didn't even notice that she had arrived home and laid on her bed again..

With that, she drifted off to sleep dreaming about her fighting monsters...

Rikka's POV | Takanashi House Hallway A |

'Hm? I thought as I heard the door close from the entrance

I stood up from my bed and stopped my communication with the Dark Flame Master Yuta and started to use my clairvoyance! (I opened the door slightly)

I used my clairvoyance from the Tyrant's Eye (peek through the door) to see outside my quarters and saw my sister, Toka Takanashi, the sister to I, Jaou Shingan (Eye of the Wicked Lord)

Something is off...she is normally without emotions and cold like the winters of Nilfheim, but now she looks...unresponsive!

Maybe her mind is being controlled by someone else?! (Maybe she fell in love?!), or maybe her soul is deteriorating?! (or maybe she is sad?! Oh no!) Gahh! This Wicked Lord Shingan will find out the truth as I expose everything by the Tyrant's Eye

I put my hand in front of my face revealing my golden, and beautiful Tyrant's Eye

Every secret will be known to this one! No one shall and be able to hide anything from me! Reality be rent! Synapse...Breaaaakkk!

I shall soon know your secret my beloved sister, HeHehe!
