42 Mirror Dimension

Leo returned to his room and first took out the book that he had borrowed from the library to read.

It was just that the books stored outside didn't involve much magical knowledge. Everything was the most basic things: Kamar-Taj's history, some biographies of certain people, the world that Kamar-Taj saw from an angle, and so on. The most common things were in theory.

These books were enough for the reader to have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the world of sorcerers. In theory, they knew what magic was and how to analyze it.

Different from what Leo had initially thought, Kamar-Taj's magic system wasn't entirely based on the accumulation of experience, and a lot of calculations had been designed and so on. There was no shortage of sorcerers who would dismantle the spell themselves and analyze it bit by bit. It was a little like learning a math equation.

In summary, learning magic was very cumbersome. Not only did it require proficiency in communicating with magic energy, it also required proficiency in grasping magic knowledge, runes knowledge, and linking to other dimension's energy to form a complete magic spell.

But now, Leo finally experienced the benefits of having this kind of Cosmic Source in his body. Although he can't borrow external power and can only practice by himself, the power he cultivates is his own, and he can use it however he wants.

After reading all these basic books, with Leo's relatively strong mental strength, although he didn't remember all of them after reading them like Dr. Strange and was able to use them skillfully, he still had basic understanding of magic and how to use energy to form magic.

It was already night by the time he finished reading them. Leo directly projected his astral body, and a transparent soul came out of his physical body. Leo didn't go through the routine practice like usual. Instead, he floated to the table and grabbed the books he borrowed.

As expected, the book was directly grasped by Leo, and he even felt like he was touching a physical object. Moreover, he didn't feel that the book had any weight. Leo was also very confused. He only remembered that Doctor Strange in the movie used his soul to read at night, and his body to rest, so he tried.

He hadn't expected it to be possible. The books probably had some sort of special ability that allowed a person to read them normally in their astral form.

The book that Leo was about to read was a book on space magic that he had borrowed from the library.

Looking at this book, Leo finally knew why Kamar-Taj's sorcerers had to learn melee combat and become combat sorcerers. Because of the proliferation of space magic, basically every sorcerer would first learn the teleportation circle.

The Teleportation Circle was the easiest to learn. As long as you could communicate with magic energy, you could basically use the spell. Therefore, if you used long-range magic with an enemy, they wouldn't be able to beat you, and would directly find an opportunity to draw a circle and escape.

Also, long-range magic gradually faded out of the sorcerers' sight. The first thing that the sorcerers had to learn was how to use magic energy to build a magic shield and a magic whip.

After reading the theory behind basic space magic, Leo picked up the Mirror Dimension magic that he had been looking forward to for a long time. When Leo watched the movie, he had been very interested in this magic. Looking at the Ancient One, he simply waved his hand, and the entire world would be turned around at will.

Everything on the mirror dimension only followed the rules set by sorcerers and would no longer follow the original rules of the world, because this was the space controlled by Kamar-Taj, a separate dimension.

Was it illusory or real? Life was psychedelic to begin with, and in this dream-like Mirror Dimension, everything was even stranger.

If a sorcerer was strong enough, they could also change the environment of the mirror space, twist the structure of the entire space, and completely reverse it, constantly cutting the mirror world.

At the same time, it is not difficult to control the structure of certain objects in space, because all the rules are set by sorcerers. As long as you have extraordinary magic power and surpass your opponent, you can redesign the mirrored space structure transformed by another sorcerer!

In the Mirror Dimension, sorcerers can control buildings, roads, rivers, and so on, twisting the shapes of these environmental objects!

Also, the changes in the space wouldn't affect the real world. It was the perfect place for trapping, monitoring, fighting, and practicing.

With the ability of Ancient One, it is very easy to build, subvert, and control the mirrored space. Ancient One can casually change the direction of gravity and create a big hole, or make building objects disappear.

Although Leo understood the contents of the book, he still didn't have the ability to grasp this Mirror Dimension.

Leo felt that he needed to find time to ask the Ancient One, believing that she could give him the perfect answer.

Leo put down the book and entered a meditative state. The faint blue light spots in the surrounding space slowly converged on Leo's illusionary figure, and finally focused on his eyebrows.

After a week of meditation, Leo was pleasantly surprised to find that after entering the meditation state again, he actually seemed to have returned to that unknown starry sky. The blue light spots he absorbed also converged toward the ball in the center of the starry sky, slowly blending into it and rotating around the ball in an irregular pattern.

Although Leo didn't feel it clearly, he felt that this was a major breakthrough. After all, he hadn't been practicing for long.

Unconsciously, another few days passed. Leo still studied and practiced with the sorcerers. Leo was surprised to find that his close combat ability had also improved a lot.

At the very least, he would be able to last a few minutes under the attack of the Master Mordo without needing to teleport. Don't underestimate this little progress. It should be known that Leo had never learned combat before, and in less than two weeks, he had been praised by the Master Mordo .

Ancient One had returned two days ago, but Leo didn't go straight to her, but waited until today to ask about Ancient One's Mirror Dimension.

"Ancient One, sorry to bother you. I'm here to learn how to use Mirror Dimension magic."

In the hall, Ancient One and Leo sat opposite each other, and it was the same tea. It was no different from when Leo first came, but the difference was that the content of their conversation was different.

"Master Leo, come with me!"

Without much nonsense, Ancient One stood up and waved his hand in front of him. Crack… The space not far in front of him shattered like a mirror, but it didn't fall apart. Ancient One walked in with a curious Leo.

Leo only felt that she had passed through a thin film, and didn't encounter any obstacles. The environment inside hadn't changed much, but everything was the opposite of the real world.

"The Mirror Dimension is where sorcerers fight. In it, you don't have to worry about the damage to the real world, but it's also very dangerous here. Remember, if you don't have a Hanging Ring and can't open the door to the real world, you'll be trapped here."

"Well, Ancient One, I can open the door without a Hanging Ring."

Leo explained in a low voice, for fear of pissing off the Ancient One.

"Yes, you don't!"

Ancient One nodded and didn't say anything.

Next, Ancient One showed Leo the various abilities that could be used in the Mirror Dimension and taught him how to open the Mirror Dimension… Leo was tutored by Ancient One and soon learned this spell, but he was not very skilled and needed more practice. Moreover, Ancient One can turn the building with a wave of his hand, and Leo can turn the roof now.

"Thank you, Ancient One. My confusion has been resolved, so I won't disturb you any longer."

With that, Leo disappeared directly into the Mirror Dimension controlled by Ancient One. This is the result of Leo experimenting with whether his superpower can be trapped by the Mirror Dimension. Sure enough, it is the best ability to escape.

"This ability is really amazing, but because of your appearance, the future has changed, and whoever unties the bell still has to answer it."

Watching Leo disappear, Ancient One said to herself, then waved her hand and drew a circle out of the mirrored space.
